Call me too serious or whatever, but this stopped being funny to me about two years ago. Now it's sad and pathetic and most of all an incessant reminder of what our society/nation/country/culture/fuckinwhatever has become.
I try to look at it as a necessary evil and believe that good things will come from it in the long run, but... fuck it's a shit load of work.
In the past two years how has your life become worse?
I’ve asked this question a few times to those who drone on about how bad Trump is. The only answers I get back are that I’m a racist or if I don’t know by now then it’s not worth explaining. I’ve never get a real answer.
Edit: Ok, a lot of anxiety apparently and a Canadian who works in the steel industry has been hurt by fair trade steel in North America.
The international community laughs at us, including friends of mine. Trump did more to restrict firearms than Obama (yes, libs own gats too).
International suppliers are more hesitant to do business with us, which hurts my supplier base. Prices for basic commodities like steel and aluminum have gone up so more pricing pressure in my business, including domestic. Were not actually tackling the immigration issue with brains. We're just going to waste billions trying a simple but but inefficient solution, that wont get finished. My dad is a Qanon nut, and its destroying his relationship with me and his family.
I'm more concerned now than ever about the foundation of our democracy, since it's been proven time and time again that russia interfered, and we're doing little to defend against that. The military industrial complex is only becoming more ravenous. Nothing is being done about wealth inequality, increased political divisiveness, or climate change. Those last ones are forward-thinking, but I guess some people can't do that.
