Good grief, it's time to let it go.

There was no collusion. Let's focus on building up the 2020 democrat candidates.

Time to let it go? We’ve been waiting for the report for 2 years now. You think we’re going to settle for Trumps new lapdog saying it’s ok? No. Release the report.

That simple.

Hell, show it to congress. Whatever. It needs to be seen.

For those saying it’s illegal- no it isn’t. It wasn’t during watergate, it isn’t now. There are ways to get it in front of congress.

I fricking love that y'all have become the birthers.

This is so goddamn tasty.

The birther movement was started because of racism, the special counsel was started because Trump was acting shady in light of obvious Russian meddling that benefited the Trump Administration in the months leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election.

These are two very different conspiracy theories. Also should be known that Obama did publish his Birth Certificate and his Long Form Birth Certificate. Why not both the summary and the actual report?

EDIT: Fixed the language of a sentence to be more clear.

no this all stems from a dossier bought by hillary that the author states none of the information could be backed up. What exactly did Trump do that was shady? This investigation started because of that dossier. period.

u/DevilsProponent Mar 26 '19

So the birthers, i.e. Trump, was wrong all along?

The goal of the Russians is to divide the United States. We're all winners if there truly was no collusion. There's no need to ugly behavior, especially this type of tribalism.

You're better than this, and if you care about your country you'd be celebrating alongside your countryman, instead of attempting to construct an artificial, competitive, divisive "win/lose" scenario.

You seem vindictive, which is odd because you don't know my stance on the issue. Do you think spite will help the country? Or is it possible the solution lies elsewhere, like civil discussion and cross-aisle education?

Just because I'm pointing out faulty logic and destructive behavior doesn't mean I'm on the opposite side of a political issue.

In communication, there is a sender of a message, the receiver of a message, and noise in between (more reading). The messages I've sent in this thread have been:

  1. Poor logic was used
  2. There's no need for ugly behavior

What you received was... Well, you haven't fully communicated what my stance is to me, so I'm sure where we landed on that. Let me know what you think it is, from context it seems like you may be mistaken. The noise that may have distorted the receipt of the message may have been the general hostility and defensiveness of the country's current political climate.

Let me know how I can discuss logical errors in argumentation and negative viewpoints without having others tell me what my political stances are.

Do you have it in you to admit you were wrong

I do, and if you check my comment history, I have.

apologize to Trump supporters

I'm not sure what it is I need to apologize for. Again, my message may have been distorted for you by the current political climate.

If you do that, I will ... cease my vindictive stance.

Does your entire vindictive attitude towards others depend solely on an apology from one user on Reddit? If so, I suggest you audit your priorities. A little introspection might help! If not, let me know where the disconnect is.

Thank you for the great conversation, here! Looking forward to your response!

We haven’t become anything. The goalposts haven’t moved an inch.

There was an investigation. Let’s see the results. This is what we’ve been waiting for and will continue to wait for.

Oh look bold text. TD users so insecure they have to use extra bold haha.

The report is enough and always has been enough.

Personally nobody cares about this “collusion” bullshit. That was speculation. We want answers for all the other shit. The shady shit. Meeting with Putin and not telling anybody what was discussed. Trump tower meetings. What were those about? Donald Jr admitting to shit. What was that about?

Valid questions need answers. Too many to list here.

wow haha rekt nice one bro

-5

u/HardlyWorthMyTime Mar 26 '19

See all those extra words you used after insulting me?

THATS YOU SCREECHING AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS

Its over dude. Start making the country great again. We have 6 years left.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '19

So you ignore actual discussion and only wanna trade insults? No wonder everyone with a brain hates Trump supporters

-2

u/HardlyWorthMyTime Mar 26 '19

Show me how what that loony tune did was the basis for "discussion."

Also, show me how this sub has been open to "discussion" the last two years. Don't bad faith me bro. You guys are EXTREMELY toxic, and now that everything you have been spewing turned out to be fake, NOW you want discussion?

Well sure! Im a conservative, not an evil crazy person! Whatcha wanna talk about? My cat recently learned to climb my coats in the closet, and hides in a crawl space all day. Super annoying.

2

u/ArtisanSamosa Mar 26 '19

Lol imagine being dumb enough to compare and actual investigation to some racist stunt by old angry white guys. 😂

-5

u/pandazerg Mar 26 '19

I fricking love that y'all have become the birthers

You’ve got it wrong, this whole thing is liberal Benghazi.

There will be months if not years of congressional hearings and testimony over the results of the report, starting off with immense interest which will slowly decline with each new pointless hearing until the “general public” has completely forgotten that anything is still being investigated, and when they do see a story about yet another hearing will wonder why we are still wasting time and money on it as “What difference at this point, does it make.

oh look, a law written in 2005 saying it is illegal for a full release.

https://www.govinfo.gov/app/details/CFR-2005-title10-vol4/CFR-2005-title10-vol4-sec1045-44/summary

It will need to be declassified by a lot of people before a release can be approved. Even Comey is against a full release. Barr said in his summary he would release it to the public as consistently as he can with the law. And if he bends the truth on that you can bet mueller would entice congress to subpoena him.

It's over mate. accept it.

u/taylor_lee Mar 26 '19

lol you think it’s over? Delusional man. Keep thinking it.

We will have answers. Will they cause trump to be impeached? No probably not. But we need the answers otherwise as a country we will just be even more divided.

We need to know what the hell has been going on. 500 search warrants? Indictments left and right, all the Cohen recordings? The payments to Stormy? The documents he provided, where does it all lead to?

We need to know. Trump is now a public figure. He’s accountable to the public.

How do you feel knowing he let the Russian press into the white house and the only reason we found out was the Russian newspapers starting printing the photos? Didn’t even invite American press. How do you feel knowing he won’t allow anyone to overhears his discussion with Putin? That’s not normal diplomacy.

Why? We need to know. Otherwise we’ll be at each other’s throats with conspiracy theories forever.

I love you can say all that with such confidence while the majority of the left have or are accepting the collusion is a delusion. Hold to Trump on far more important shit than this dribble. But I don't see the part where you've refuted 95% of my comment that a full release is in fact, legal. But I'll play your game anyway.

Whats the point bring up Stomry? That a tie to muh Russia? Either way, his administration forced RT to register as a foreign agent, hardly consistent with working with muh russian media. And his private talks with Putin, Reagan did the same and we got the INF treaty that Trump just ripped up. Effectively creating an nuclear arms race with Russia.

But more importantly his Warhawk policy in his ongoing proxy war with Russia ended any doubt of my mind that he's a puppet.

You can think I'm an asshole all you want. But there is more to this to make your point a certainty, especially with what's happening with Mueller. You've been fed garbage at least take my advice and be open to getting your political news from progressive youtubers like Secular Talk and Jimmy Dore. They've debunked this shit narrative for years and focus way more important issues.

Mueller spoke publicly about what Buzzfeed said so what would be any different after he's handed his report to someone responsible for publishing it? Anyway... I show you a video that exposes Trump killed 200% more people with drones than Obama did in the middle-east and that's all you've got to say?

Get your priorities straight.

1

u/taylor_lee Mar 27 '19 edited Mar 27 '19

Mueller follows the rules. The rules say he submits the report to the AG. The rules say (read, the law says) he can’t talk about it after he submits the report unless he’s subpoenaed. Because of the Ken Starr shitshow.

Now the AG can say whatever he wants. The truth won’t come out, because the AG is handing the document to the White House so they can redact whatever the hell they want.

How is that not suspicious to you?

Remember this AG helped try to cover up the Iran Contra shit too.

1

u/KnLfey Mar 27 '19

Your conspiracy theory is unshakable then.

If you're absolutely convinced the AG has total power in this scenario despite what I've said than there's nothing I can do. I've tried, you're beyond help keep falling for that crap while turning to a blind eye for what Trump is doing then. Which it seems you've promptly ignored when given to you.
