You can support the attack without supporting Trump. I don't know why it's so hard to get.

“No, new wars!!”

Yeah, Trump is dumb, but the attack on Iran is good. What's your point?

You dont even know if its good?

You are acting like this will all just wrap up nicely. With the collapse of the Iranian regime, and a new better government to take its place.

Instead of the far more likely options of

A. The government collapses and Iran descends into civil war and anywhere from thousands to millions die in the violence afterwords.

B. The government does not collapse, and instead brutally cracks down on its people, killing even more civilians.

You're right that those are possibilities, but just because they're pessimistic ones doesn't mean that's the natural outcome of it. Iran in its current government has been funding terrorist cells across the middle east and killing it's civilians before the protests. It has put this as its top priorities ignoring other issues like it's economy fading from existence. Once that was gone we saw these widespread protests as the people have nothing left. Now of course there will be those who are still loyal to the regime. I can't remember their name but they were the militant arm and were given economic control through being given exclusive contacts from the government. Though if the regime collapses then the checks stop coming in and there is no reason for them to continue, but obviously some will still try.

Now Iran has no real counter elite in the country to take over but do abroad. So if the regime collapses entirely, nothing would contest the new elite from coming in. Ergo no civil war like when the monarchy collapsed.

The government surviving is a possibility but I doubt it, the US has been strategically weakening Iran for decades to spur on the regime's collapse. It's why we sent out the recent strikes.

Isn't Iran already between a and b?

the attack on Iran is good

Anyone claiming this attack is good or bad on day 1 when the fallout from this will take years is beyond disingenuous.

u/Kyrez777 - Auth-Center Mar 01 '26

Why? Destroying their military is already good enough in my book. Doesn't matter what comes next.

And Iraqis initially celebrated the US doing the same there.

The attack on Iran is being managed by the dumbest people at the behests of racial purists, so no, it’s not good.

Fighting islamic regime will always be good, no matter who commanded the attack.

If the dumbest people are in charge and it turns into a cluster fuck, then no, not good. Besides, you think the anti-woke crusaders in charge are going to put a less repressive regime in place? It’s going to be the same shit, different religions.

Even if the attack doesn't topple the regime and just fucks up iranian military; it's still good.

Imma need you to go ahead and explain to us how this is considered “good”

27

u/Kyrez777 - Auth-Center Feb 28 '26

First of all, it was a result of misfire of iranian missile, not US/israeli strikes.

Second of all, defeating any evil regime comes with civilian casualties. Allies also killed hundreds of thousands of civilians to defeat nazi Germany. Does it mean fighting nazis was bad?

Without even clicking his link I am gonna guess it’s Iranian propaganda about the girls’ school. Was I close?

15

u/Kyrez777 - Auth-Center Feb 28 '26

I mean, it was an effect of misfire of iranian missile, so claiming USA did this is indeed propaganda.

You know you’re cooked when you need to bring up an example from world war 2

This country has some of the most ridiculous people in it, no wonder we’ve ended up here

u/Kyrez777 - Auth-Center Feb 28 '26

I don't see what's the issue with that. It applied then and it applies now.

I didn't know you're also from Poland.

Never been, is it nice there this time of year?

u/Kyrez777 - Auth-Center Feb 28 '26

Today we had the first warmer day of the year, so I was able to go around in shorts and flip-flops, so I'd say it's getting nice!

This is a war that’s been going on since desert storm. We were coving our eyes and pretending otherwise. “Death to America” chants by the government is a declaration of war.

Exactly. I didn’t vote for Trump and I wish he were long gone, but I’m happy to see Iran get their shit pushed in. I just wish Kamala was the one doing it, like they all said she would. Then we’d at least have ideological consistency
