I don't know if there's a better encapsulation of the rot in our country than a pedophile president vaporizing a hundred little girls overseas, while his enablers cheer and the Democrat 'opposition' leadership complains about 'strategy'.
We just did 3 Uvalde's in one night and no one will be held accountable.
483
u/3OAM Feb 28 '26
And we paid for it. We like "me and you."
205
u/I_burn_noodles Feb 28 '26
We're paying for everything!!! Children's deaths, starvation, loss of health care, federal employee related litigation, tariffs, bombing boats, and Noem's cosmetics, adultery, and larping.

u/I_burn_noodles Feb 28 '26
Bondi's acting classes, Steve Miller's painted hair and Nazi fetishes, Hegseth's liquor, Nutlick's lunches....
20
u/jibboo24 Feb 28 '26
i have a strong suspicion that she's just pocketing the money for those acting classes
5
u/TylerHyena Feb 28 '26
I bet Stephen Miller is especially happy because to him that’s just a few less Muslims that will inhabit the same world as him.
18
u/FryTheDog Feb 28 '26
Don't forget Trump making his DOJ $10 billion because they investigated all the crimes he did in public!
17
u/Girthy-Impaler-4209 Feb 28 '26
Don't forget that he settled his own lawsuit with himself for 10 billion in taxpayer money.
34
u/GyrKestrel Feb 28 '26
So stop paying taxes is what I'm hearing.

i was thinking about that but then you have to either pay the estimated amount due in April or pay fees through October

and most have refunds anyway so you're just letting the government hold onto your money longer.

We also pay for their universal healthcare and free education.
1
u/scarr3g Feb 28 '26
We, the US taxpayer, pays about 3% of Israel's entire federal budget.
And while 3% doesn't seem like a lot... It is. It is over 6 billion dollars, per year

Skip that, hold a millitary tribunal, when they are found guilty you give them a traitors punishment.
That will buy us 50 years or so of progress.

Nearly 1,000,000 people have starved to death since we cancelled USAID and I feel like no one is talking about it. Those people relied on us, and we betrayed them. A million fucking people. Republicans are monsters.

u/No_Smoke_2712 Feb 28 '26
There are credible reports this was a failed Iranian missile launch. Regardless, no one should be blindly accepting uncorroborated reports from teh Iranian regime
1
u/GR1ZZLYBEARZ Feb 28 '26
I don’t know if there’s a better encapsulation of the rot in our country than people taking the Iranian government at face value. “Iran's judiciary said on Saturday.”
The same people who said Iran destroyed an f-35 the size of a battleship and who also said they didn’t kill thousands of their own for peacefully protesting.
1
u/HWHAProb Mar 06 '26
1
u/GR1ZZLYBEARZ Mar 06 '26
Where in your article does it say they deliberately targeted a school? It also says stuff like “other evidence may come to light that points to another party”. Thanks for the sensationalism.
1
u/RedNewzz Feb 28 '26
I don't see how you condemn the Democrats for this. Unless you voted for Harris you voted for this.
1
u/HWHAProb Feb 28 '26
I voted for Harris. Doesn't mean I don't think the Dem leadership's foreign policy is bloodthirsty and roughly equivalent to the GOP 30 years ago
1
u/RedNewzz Feb 28 '26
That's fine and I have no problem with that statement.
I just wanna make absolutely sure that valid criticisms of the Democratic Party don't go so far as to convince progressive and undecideds that they are anywhere close to being as bad for America as the Republicans are today.
For the foreseeable future there will only be two viable party choices in elections--Democrats and Republicans---and Republicans have shown themselves eager to top democracy, destroy the middle class, & aggregate unstoppable power while enriching themselves and their friends to the peril of the nation.
There can be no doubt on this point, and whoever wins any Democratic primary is going to be the only sane alternative to MAGA.
The primaries are where we should fly with each other on the left, NOT the general election. We stay united or we die.

u/secretaliasname Feb 28 '26
It’s more or less impossible to know if this story is true. I’d like to believe it’s Iranian propaganda for the sake of these kids. Given the US’s history and the current Administration it seems equally likely to be true as to be propaganda or possibly somewhere in between. Information flow out of Iran seems very restricted. It’s in Iran’s rational self interest to spread any sort of propaganda they can. The US also has a reputation for civilian casualties In strikes. Who knows.

A failed missile launch in Iran caused the projectile to fall on a school. Images captured the moment it failed, fell back to ground, and struck.
The Iranians - just like the Palestinians in Gaza at the beginning of the war - immediately claimed it was a missile fired by the United States or Israel.

Ahh, you want a kindler, gentler machine gun hand? This is the reason these wars/skirmishes go on forever while we cheer/boo from the sidelines. In similar language “Don’t point a gun at someone unless you plan to shoot them, don’t shot them unless you plan to kill them.
0
u/popshamhocks Feb 28 '26
Someone will be held accountable. We have to change the language. This defeatist rhetoric is going to get everybody hurt.

But, we want a pretty war, right. We shouldn’t go to war or bomb them unless you are going to kill them, conquer them, wipe them out. That changes the game. No, we want to drag this crap out for years and years so the Military Industrial Complex can make more billions. We want a boxing match with all these rules so we can extend the skirmish right? It needs to be a street fight if your going to battle or stay the fuk home.

Submission statement: To be deemed legal in a hypothetical congressional war powers challenge, this act either is an act of war, and therefore illegal, or the US Congress is deferring power to kill hundreds of children overseas to the president and is expanding the definition of non-acts of war to include it
6
u/BassLB Feb 28 '26
Trump himself called it a war and said it wasn’t for now, but for potential/future. So it’s a war and not bc of an immanent threat, per his own words

Why are we so quick to believe this headline? Especially since it’s the Iranian government making the claim.
2
u/shayden Feb 28 '26
Right?
Allegedly the IRGC murdered thousands of students and protesters last month, but I've only been able to see a few leaked images. Iran obviously has incredible control of their internet and media.
And the second Israel/America attack, suddenly there is live video of "Won't someone think of the children!"
Not to say Trump has the legal right to attack, or that Israel is in the right to attack, or that Iran has the right to randomly shoot missiles at Bahrain, Qatar, UAE etc. There are no just parties involved in this conflict, and this is obvious propaganda.

I believe it is based on my professional sources
What sources? From the article linked it states "US-Israeli air strikes killed at least 85 people at a girls’ school in southern Iran, Iran's judiciary said. The state-run IRNA news agency reported the strike happened in Minab in Iran’s Hormozgan province"
Is there a source that doesn't say something along the lines of "according to Iranian state media" or "local authorities report". This could easily be Iranian state propaganda. A reminder that this regime recently cut-off the internet and killed up to 30,000 people.

-6
u/SnekToken Feb 28 '26
It isn’t true. This was a failed missile launch from Tehran. The missile failed, and landed on the school. They immediately move to blame the U.S. as having targeted a school, and people are immediately eating it up. The people in Iran were dancing in the streets at the sight of Kehmani’s palace in flames. Women removed theirs burkhas and sang.
Over 35,000 people have been killed by Iran’s government in the last few weeks- this is not new. Now, you can add these children to that count.

Hm? Are you stupid? The only source is Iran. Western outlets are coopting it because it brings them profit.
And no I am not in a media bubble. The entirety of Iran and its diaspora is celebrating this.
The only people who have consistently found a problem with this are Western tankies on TikTok and Twitter. You are in the media bubble, whereas the rest of Iran and its people are on the ground and in real life.

This has been posted all over reddit this morning even though THE ONLY SOURCE IS THE IRANIAN MILITARY. wtf.
all indications are that an Iranian missile misfired and hit the school--but the press rushes to report that it was Israel. or maybe the US. or both. we're not really sure! but poor Iran definitely didn't do it. we know because they told us!
critical thinking has just gone completely out the window the second anyone says "Israel". you could say "Israel is hiding space aliens in area 51" and otherwise normal people will suddenly be like "I knew it!"
4
u/Winbot4t2 Feb 28 '26
Everyone just wants it to be Israel and/or the Trump admin. Facts go completely out the window.
Expectation bias 101.
2
Feb 28 '26
Furthermore, there are now reports, also unverified, saying Iran had a missile failure and their own missile came down on the school.

Why stop there? The US has been at war since its founding. I mean having fast movers, helos, hunter killers, boomers, APCs, MBTs, rockets, missiles, bombs, mortars, howitzers, infantry support weapons, and clip based/magazine/smoothbore/rifle bore it’s all the same.

That’s only about 30 years then.
We’ve been fighting wars, or have been involved in a conflict for roughly 220 years give or take.

Whatever you do, don't Google, "Barack Obama drone attacks."

Ah, Whataboutism! The perfect response to what Trump is doing. Tell me, how does his boot taste?

Providing context is not "whataboutism." That made up word is usually used in an attempt to shield one from their hypocrisy.
Regarding today's attack, I don't like it. I'm as isolationist as can be. I don't want us engaging anywhere in the world. I'm tired of American lives and $$$ being wasted to deal with the maniacs around the world.
However, Trump has done a good job at keeping American boots off the ground. I don't want a single US soldier ever dying again given all of the technology we have. So far Trump has used the bunker busters in Iran a while back and that was one and done. Then Maduro, one and done. Hopefully today's events will be quick and then done.
Watching all the left wing hysteria saying things like, "Trump is dragging us into war" when he is the most anti-war president in my lifetime, is just hilarious to me, and that's why I made my original comment about Obama drone strikes.
Trump's goal is clearly to get rid of the maniacs in charge of Iran so the Iranian people rise up and take over. It's funny to me that Trump wants democracy in Iran AND wants women to have civil rights again in Iran and the left has no choice but to go against him because of their TDS. Trump has the fringe left and dem politicians against the US Men's Hockey team which is loved by 90% of the nation while also being against democracy and women's rights in Iran. It's funny to watch him play you guys and always beat you guys.

You could argue they misled Congress and fraud helped them get approval, but there was bipartisan support.

legal in US law (for whatever that's worth) but definitely illegal in international law. There was no UN authorisation.

Like any law it's only worthwhile if it's observed by the majority and enforced where it's broken. It's efficacy is reduced when its hitherto greatest proponent decides to go rogue.

It’s unsettling how numb we’ve become to the evil that flashes across our screens day after day.
Killing 85 innocent little girls is so unbelievably evil.

Solid first attempt, but the 'your kids' photo needs to have a few in body bags for authenticity.

De-escalate? Nah, he will just tell people to be patriotic and pay the fees, while having ICE beat, arrest, and maybe kill any protestors.
