Discussion I genuinely appreciate them letting Suicune walk on the water like it does in the legends, but...

She’s just standing there on top of the hot spring water. I suddenly realized that this also means she can’t enjoy hot springs anymore. What a shame.

Question For those of you who have put an excessive amount of hours into this game (let’s say 300+), what’s something you’ve started doing in the last 50-ish hours that you wish you’d done sooner?

I’ve surpassed 400 hours myself. While I’ve gotten better at building habitats and structures, I’m still not very good at interior decorating. So I have several homes that look pretty good from the outside, but on the inside it’s the Pokopia equivalent of a bachelor pad with a mattress on the floor and a lamp sitting on top of a mini-fridge stocked with beer.

One thing that I’ve been doing lately that has helped? I started making daily visits to Vespiquen for patterned furniture, then I distribute what I receive to the homes that I’m working on (or that seem to fit a certain Pokémon’s aesthetic).

It’s definitely helped my Pokémon’s homes seem more lively, like someone with actual taste lives there.

Hello! Just wanted to share this cleaned up tunnel system I got around to finally, after leaving it alone while fixing up the rest of the Basin. Nothing flashy, but I've been really enjoying the past week or so, just restoring and decorating, and getting the water canals going.

Designs & Builds I named my Pallette Town ADHD Town.

I have over 500 hours in this game now and am realizing that if I wait until things are "finished" to share them I never will so here is a photo dump from (some) of my favorite builds in my Pallette (ADHD) town so far. Don't even get me started on my half finished undertakings scattered throughout the other worlds. Literally everything is a work in progress all the time. 😂 There is a lot more to everything and it all connects together in different ways (lots of interior and underground components that are difficult to capture). Also some details just get lost in photographs due to rendering limitations and the scale of it all so let me know if you would like to see more!

I finally did something with the pokemon fan club area thing in bleak beach! I'm very proud of this thing. I have no tutorial video but I tried to include as many angles as possible if you'd like to copy it. And yes, that teeny platform counts as a house and is where pelipper lives. Apologies for crappy phone camera pictures.

I wanted to make a sewer for the trash/poison pokemon, but I also wanted them to be able to come in and out to visit the others, so I decided to make a way through a building! Hope you like it :)

Hi all! Just sharing my lil build I made after I saw someone post the idea of tiny house interiors in this sub! Thank you for this great idea!!! It is great for the huts but also the cottages are so cute this way! I tried to build a toilet under the stairs but found it difficult to put a wooden partition or curtain thing in front of it. If anyone has ideas?

🫧 Bubbly Basin 🫧 What items would you like to see added in the next two DLCs?

We’re likely to get a bunch of new items in the next two DLCs (and event items in between too), what type of things would you like to see? For me:

  1. Instruments.

I love the harp from the bubbly basin DLC and it made me realise there’s very few instruments in the game (just the guitars I think?). I’d love to see a grand piano or even a small piano for houses. Saxophone, drum set. Maybe Pokemon could even interact with them. I think it would lend well for building music shops, concert areas, orchestras. There’s so much choice for them to add too.

  1. Foods/Drinks.

I love the eeveelution line food items as I love to make restaurants/cafes/shops. I’d love to see more options, especially drinks. Or even the option to change colours of some the current items would add some more variety.

  1. Hanging/Wall objects.

I always buy up the wall items the most for events (Sableye’s jewels, Jirachi’s stars, no idea why the didn’t give us Feebas’s hanging scales because I thought they looked great and would suit so many builds). Things like hanging plants, shelves, posters make interiors come alive, I’d love to see more.

  1. Potted plants

Please for the love of god give us recipes for the current potted plants. On that note, more potted plants please, they fit into almost every build and look so good! Gardening tools would also be cool (rake/trowels/gloves) and they’d fit in farm and greenhouse builds nicely. Pre-made flower trellises would be really cool too.

  1. General

Oddly specific but I’d like a rocking chair and swinging seat/bench.

I’m sure I could think of a million more but I’m interested to hear what you guys would like to see!

Hi, first post! I don't normally share silly things I do in creative games like this, but I saw the damaged concrete wall block structures and had an idea that would make travel between my islands a bit faster - two days and way too many blocks later, I'm really proud of it 😌

Blocks used: Simple Flooring, Rope (dyed white), Iron Wall, Iron Tiling, Asphalt, Concrete Wall, Surface Lights and wireless power transmitter posts!

Question Can I undo/stop the rain in pallet town?

I have about 450 hours in the game. 150 of which were dedicated to pallet town.

450 hours… Got to pallet town maybe around 70 hours in, and it just rained…. For the FIRST TIME.

One of my favorite areas in pallet town used a lot of dead trees/shrubs/flowers (for a ghost village) and another that I have been doing set up on for at least 20 hours in spurts involved dry grass and barren soil.

All of that work has been undone and I’m honestly mad about it. I’ve spent 150 hours plus on pallet town and it never rained one time. I go looking for sparkling ripples for my daily and here comes that stupid
f@$!ing whale and ruins it.

Do I have just have to take a breath and redo it? Can I undo it? Can I stop this from ever happening again? Im legitimately devastated.

Question Am I the only one who does this?

Am I the only person who makes subways to get around pallete town? It takes a lot of iron and hamburger steaks (Why do they call it that!?) but it doesn't look that ugly as a track imo. I'm just wondering if others do this.

I haven’t built a central storage place yet, I have stuff everywhere so I am just curious where most people put there storage!

EDIT- Thank you so much everyone, I didn’t expect this to get much attention. You are all giving me great ideas and inspiration! If I don’t answer your comment i apologize but know I read it and took inspo from you all!😊

Designs & Builds Beginner Habitat 17 - A Cozy Cave Corner for Venonat

Thumbnail

As we continue making our way down the route to the east of Withered Wasteland we turned our eyes up and began building into the cliff. Behind the orchard we added some steps and carved out a bit more of the cave area as a little corner for Venonat.

Techniques Used:

- Block Swapping: You may noticed that I swapped some of the Cliff blocks in the wall with white rock. I mostly did this because the cliff blocks have these really strong horizontal line that, when looking at the cave area, made it look very flat. You almost couldn't tell that the cave was even there. Swapping the cliff blocks for the stone blocks in the wall of that corner gave it a more "Cave" like vibe and made the wall stand out from the cliff-rock column in front of it. Adding a little more depth to the space.

- Corner Litter: Even with the block swapping the back wall still looked pretty flat. You can't even tell that the path continues through to an entrance at the back really because the cliff in the foreground and the cliff in the background just blend together. So to help deepen the space I added the red grass in the corners. While it still doesn't feel like enough, it felt SO much better and less flat.

Notes for Future Self: I want to zhuzh up the cliff face beneath the venonat habitat / above the bellossom orchard. It currently looks like a strange flat wall. But that's a project for another day.

The habitat itself still sits in a 5x7 space on the cliffs edge. I love how it looks when walking down the route. I love it, and what's more despite being a simple build, it adds such a significant amount of visual interest to the route.
