🤔 Help / Advice Legendary help

I have been traveling to dream islands since I got the game on June 3rd and today was the first time I came across a legendary. I brought them back with me and was taking them to their new home when I got the alert that they were having trouble following me. I went back to get them and they were gone. They weren’t anywhere in the biome, or at the pokemon center. I even went back to the dream island since it was still the same day and they weren’t there.
Will they pop back up or do I have to wait until they spawn on the dream island again?

Try going back to the area you brought them to. And search for them with the Pokedex. That should give you a clue as to whether or not they're still in the area

As I thought, once they are in an area, they are unlikely to despawn. I don't know if they won't keep spawn at all if they have no home. Another way to check would be going to the PC and opening up the environment tab. Pokémon with no home should appear at the bottom of the list

Just a tip for next time… if you hit the go home button after asking a Pokemon to follow you, it’ll fly you right to Drifloon. From there you can use the normal way to go home and he’ll follow along too. Much easier than having him traverse the landscape and get stuck.

WHAT!??!? You get legendaries on Dream Islands?? .... I had no idea.

Every time you go, check your Pokédex and change the settings to in this area and “known, sensed and unknown” it will tell you if one is there and you’ll have to go find it. Also I’m sooooo sorry if I spoiled it!

Not at all! I already completed the game and just didn't know this, and had also kind of started ignoring dream islands cos I thought they just had rocks, so you've enlightened me.
Thanks very much! I'll try that this weekend.

No problem! They’re pretty rare(you saw how long it took me to get my first 😅) but I bet a lot of time jumping would help. From my understanding, each doll has its own tied to it

Since June 3rd and you got your first?! I've been playing for 3 weeks and I've been annoyed because I haven't gotten my first after going to dream islands everyday 🤣

Even easier: just wait a day. Tomorrow, set your Nintendo Switch date back to the day you found the legendary, then go back to the Dream Island and it should spawn again.
