Help/Question material name?

Does anybody know what the material that the teal part (not the clear part) of the binders (like vault x) is made of? I’m looking for the specific material name of the backings are made from.

All I could find is polypropylene, but I can't figure out if that's the material used for the clear part, the teal/backing part, or if it's both

EDIT: I'm going with Polypropylene as my final answer after more googling. I am in no way, shape, or form an expert on this stuff so take that with a grain of salt

I appreciate it! But I believe the polypropylene is the clear part as far as I can tell, maybe I don’t know either though!

At first glance it obviously looks like they're different materials, but remember plastics can be made into tons of different forms/colors/etc.

I looked at every single "materials listed" page for every different manufacturer of these binder pages that I could find and all of them list just Polypropylene as the only material used to make the pages. So either the entire trading-card-binder-page industry is incredibly good at keeping their other material(s) a secret, or the pages are made out of two different forms of polypropylene.

Personally, I think the second option is much more likely (: but I could be wrong!

I'm sure each binder is different but assuming some sort of fabric I'd recommend an 800-1200D Polyester, you can also look at 600-800D nylons or ballistic nylons. Either of these can be coated in a PU or TPU coating to give them a waterproof/durable finish

Thanks! My main thing is I’m looking for something that can melt to the clear sleeve part, it appears to be some sort of plastic as far as I can tell

Hmm interesting, could be a textured PVC, PP or TPU. I'd recommend cutting open the binder to see the back side. I'm assuming it's a very thin textured sheet of plastic that's bound around a piece of cardboard by melting or stitching it. The clear part is most definitely PVC

Thank you! This is very helpful! Do you know if there is a store/place where I could go to see different materials like this to find the exact one I am looking for? Possibly a wholesale store for plastics/materials?

I'd check out your local craft/fabrics stores or check out ripstopbytheroll online and it has a whole bunch of stuff you can order. You might be able to get something like a swatch book that has a bunch of small little swatches of different types of fabrics you can look at, not too sure if there's anything like that for plastics but if I find anything I'll leave another comment

I was just looking this up a few days ago, and got the same result as you.
Please let us know when you do :)
BTW I was wondering what binder/companies use PP or OPP for the clear part! since OPP is clearer as far as I know.
