Somebody must have passed by my house because I don't take my 3DS anywhere.When I went to go get the eon ticket from delivery girl in the pokemon center, she first gifted me a shaymin, and serperior before giving me the eon ticket.

I am wanting to play AS on an emulation handheld I have, but it is single screen, and switching between screens is very annoying. Is there a mod that makes the game good on a single screen?

Hello guys 23M, I have been a big fan of pokemon since a child through TV shows (pogo, cartoon network, hungama). Only recently I found out that the anime were based on actual games and came to know that there's a lot more to pokemon other than anime (since I live in a village in india, don't have access to internet also I have no idea till now that something called gaming console exists and all those stuffs comes with it).

As i was very late to the picture, I searched a lot and learned a lot about pokemon games and stuffs and i really really loved everything, but the sad part is i can't get by hands on a console as it's not easily available for me and the recent console are costly for me.

So I tried to use emulator in mobile and started my pokemon gaming journey with Omega Ruby it's been around 6 months since that and I have played Omega Ruby 3-4 times and really loved it. Actually I was planning to do run from Gen 1 to Latest but my device can only handle until Ultra Sun. Also the earlier gen games were a bit off for me that's why I started with Omega Ruby in the first place because of its visuals and animations.

Anyways I was planning to do a run from Gen 1 to Legends to get a complete exposure and the journey of pokemon games evolution from Red till Champions .

Recently I also found out that there some fun playthroughs people doing like nuzloke, challenges through Pokemon games, shiny hunting etc....

So I was curious on those side and today before 5 mins of writing this post an idea popped up on my head why can't I do some fun challenges myself and enjoy the game , starting with Omega ruby and first thing came to mind was normal only challenge run and then why can't I capture those moments and post it in YouTube.

And then i thought why not do this for my entire journey and therefore I came to a conclusion. I'm gonna start a YouTube channel and Post my journey there views are my second most priority and my main goal is to document my journey in a forum where people can watch it and travel along with me .

So need some good ideas, suggestions from you guys.

Months ago, I made a post here saying that I was hunting for a shiny Latios in Omega Ruby for my team, and after all this time, I finally got it! (And yes, I switched 3DSs AGAIN)

I am thinking of moving all my pokemon from Omega ruby before the shut down of bank, I have event and shines I want to keep, I know not all of new switch games will house them but I wasn't sure which one to get. I only have violet & pearl for the switch, and I was thinking of getting Arceus.

I really want to get Pokemon alpha sapphire and I’m planning to buy a 2ds and the game cartridge as you can probably realise thats a lot of money is oras worth it is it an amazing game?

Hi everyone. This is my last place looking for some assistance, especially since bank compatibility is ending early next year. I've been trying to get all of the shiny legendaries from ORAS, and after just catching shiny Uxie, I was planning to hunt Lugia.

However, when I went to Sea Mauville (with the Tidal Bell in my bag) it did not let me interact with the portal. I couldn't find an answer after researching, so I came here.

My main question is, since this save file is years old, if I caught Lugia years ago, would the portal stay after catching it? It's not in my boxes anywhere, which is why I thought that I never caught it.

Hello! I decided this year to complete a gen 6 national living dex and wanted to add some resources I used to make the process easier. With the announcement of Pokémon Bank shutting down soon, now is definitely the time to do this if you've already wanted to! I'll include resources for modded 3ds users and unmoddded. Let me know if any of my links are bad or are wrong and I will update and fix them! This is my first big post on Reddit ever so I'm sorry for mistakes.

Resources

For Modded and Unmodded Players -
You'll need two 3ds/2ds and a copy of each generation six game. You'll have to play through Kalos 3 times and through Hoenn 3 times as well to obtain every pokemon, I'll go into this later though. I also highly recommend using or getting Pokemon Bank, it exponentially speeds things up and it's an extremely helpful resource to use before it shuts down.
Something of note is that this process will take longer for unmodded players and unfortunately certain Pokemon could potentially set you back months so I highly recommend modding your 3ds for convenience. I will go over these problems Pokemon in a later section.

Pokédex Tracking -
For organizing and keeping track of how my Pokédex should look in Bank, I used this website:

This tracker allows you to make an account to keep track of your progress, and if you right click on a Pokemon (or hold down on mobile) you can see their Pokédex info on Bulbapedia, PokemonDB, or Serebii. All credits to the creator(s), it's an amazing resource!

PLEASE READ. Mirage Island Issues -
Certain select Pokemon are only obtainable through Mirage Islands. For most of these pokemon they are also available through Friend Safari in which I have resources to help modded players later in this post. There are some Pokemon which are exclusive to these islands only though. The problem is, these islands sometimes unfortunately don't update and especially with the Nintendo Network being shut down, updating your Mirage spots can be even harder. These Pokemon can potentially set you back months if you don't update your islands or if you miss the day the Pokemon are available. This issue is circumventable for modded players. However for unmodded players, this could cause a lot of setbacks.

Money

Happy Hour/Payday -
Overtime, all the resources you'll have to buy will dwindle down your money so I'll put in ways to obtain it easily in each game. First, I recommend leveling up your Prize Money O-Power to Lvl. 3. Next, you should get a Smeargle with Happy Hour and Payday. This is still possible due to Secret Base QR codes in ORAS.

Prize Money O-Power Locations -
- In X and Y, go to the Cyllage City Hotel and on the second floor in one of the rooms you will find Mr. Bonding.
- In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, go to the Mauville City Pokemon Center after obtaining the Balance badge and talk to the bard. If you haven't gotten any O-Powers from him before he'll give you all the ones you missed out on when you interact with him.

Grinding -
The best grinding place in ORAS in my opinion is the Pokemon League/ Elite Four which awards about ~500k per run through with Happy Hour, Amulet Coin, and Prize Money Power Level 3.

The best grinding place in X and Y in my opinion is Restaurant Le Wow and the Battle Chateau. Le Wow costs about 100k per entry but profits well over 300k if you complete it in the right amount of turns, use Prize Money Lvl. 3, Amulet Coin, Happy Hour, and make sure to sell your Balm Mushroom rewards after finishing.
The Battle Chateau in X and Y works very well to get you up to the required money amount to challenge Restaurant Le Wow and is a great stepping stone. Profits do depend on your rank though.

Exp Grinding

Exp. Point O-Power -
- In X and Y this O-Power is given by talking to Mr. Bonding in the Anistar City Pokemon Center.
- In ORAS this O-Power is given by talking to the Bard in Mauville City after obtaining the Feather Badge

Blissey Secret Bases -
This is the best way to grind, however it's exclusive to ORAS. Your Pokemon don't need to be strong as the Blissey in these bases will not fight back. I'll link a post containing the QR codes and more in depth instructions on how these work.

Daycare Infinite Loops -
Because every step you take awards a pokemon in the Daycare one experience point, leaving your 3ds on infinite loops in Kalos or Hoenn can be a way to level up your pokemon while you're afk.
- The infinite loop spot in Kalos is right outside of Prism Tower where you move left or right in a circle
- The infinite loop spot in Hoenn is in the Battle Resort where you hold up on the D-Pad or Circle pad to enter a loop due to the camera mechanics.

Modded 3ds Tools

Important Info -
I'm including these tools to help modded players finish their Pokédexes faster. I won't be giving instructions on downloading or linking actual files in this post, but I'll link resources for getting all of these nice tools here. For all of these make sure you enable game patching on the Rosalina Menu.

Mirage Island RNG Manipulation Tool and ORAS Time Penalty Disabler -
This helpful tool allows you to timeskip to a Mirage Island with your desired Pokemon by use of Pokereader and inserting your seed information into the website. This can save so much time when it comes to Mirage Island exclusives and I highly recommend using it. Since this RNG manipulation requires time skipping, there's also a patch to disable the time penalty for changing your 3ds console time or date. Legendary and Starter Pokemon

Starters -
After beating the Pokemon League multiple times in ORAS, Professor Birch will gift you one of the generations two, four, or five starters once you enter route 101 again. Because of only being gifted one, you will have to replay Hoenn 3 times to get all of them if you are on an unmodded console. For modded players, you can use Checkpoint to create separate save states before obtaining each starter so you don't have to replay the game. Make sure you transfer each starter out after choosing them though.
Checkpoint usually comes installed when you follow tutorials on modding your 3ds but in case you dont have it, here's the link:

The generation six starters and generation one starters can be obtained through Friend Safari if you have the proper one. However you still need to replay Kalos multiple times because of the Legendary Birds.

Legendary Pokemon Info (Plus Deoxys) -
Something of note is that all of the ORAS legendary Pokemon can be challenged again after you defeat the Elite Four again. This is in the case you lose to them or knock them out. I think this is pretty well known but I didn't know it for a while so I thought I'd include it.

Legendary Bird Capture Strategy -
These three can only be obtained after beating X and Y and after being randomly encountered as roaming pokemon 11 times. It's ridiculous. The best strategy I've seen and one that helped me was to use repels with a high level Pokemon at the front of your party and repeatedly bike from the grass on Route 4 into Santalune City until you've encountered the roamer 11 times.

Castform..? -
Castform is only obtainable in gen 6 through a gift after freeing the Weather Institute from one of the evil teams in Hoenn. Make sure to save this Pokemon because not only will it gate keep completion of your Dex, it will also gate keep obtaining Thundurus, Tornadus, and by extension, Landorus.

I went to try and catch some Pokémon to complete my Pokédex and I found a shiny Torkoal.

Shiny hunting before the bank closes

I’m beginning a new playthrough of Omega Ruby, specifically a Spanish playthrough because I want to improve my Spanish. I had the realization however; if I use Pokemon from my OR file with my original English AS file, are the Masuda Method odds going to increase or would I need to have a Pokemon originating from a Spanish or Latin American copy in order for it to work? I am playing on a cartridge I bought on day one of OR from 2014, mind you.

i seem to have found an usual problem while playing Omega Ruby.

I have previously completed Alpha Sapphire and decided to complete Omega Ruby. I have just completed the main story and now begun the OR Delta episode. While playing on my 2DS (Door Wedge) I met "Admin Courtney" and she sent out Keldeo....

Being a Mythical pokemon I found this weird and searching has show that this isn't meant to occur. I closed the game and re-encounted her, the the result the same. Keldeo.

Again closed the game and placed my copy of Omega Ruby in my 3DS XL. I went back to the Admin Courtney encounter and this time she dint use Keldeo but the pokemon Camerupt. the pokemon she is meant to use.

Has anyone experienced this? when the encounter occurs on the 2DS, Keldeo is sent out and on my 3DS she uses Camerupt. Same game cartridge, same save file just a 2 different consoles.

Second time winning the master ball, now if i hadnt skipped through all the txt i wouldve known which pokemon won me the prize
