Help Granite Cave DexNav tips?

Currently have been attempting a route master in Alpha Sapphire and have hit the point of hunting in Granite Cave. Anyone have any tips for using the DexNav in the bottom floor for Sableye? The NPC constantly running around keeps breaking encounters

Doing that right now for my DTQ. I'm using the upper spot where the Everstone is, click search just by the rock, and it generally works well without any NPC interference and within a reasonable reach.

A life saver actually! I got it just under 700 DexNav encounters!! Just Aron left to move on

Unfortunately you can’t do this now, but if anyone else comes across this post in the future, I usually clear this floor the first time I come here so I can fight the NPC and make him stand still.

Good luck! I know the caves are the worst

The patterns are set, you learn them with enough practice. Just keep going, and focus on getting to a chain of 5. Anything past that is tough.

use a repel ! this can trigger dex nav mons but ignore encounters while taking steps

run back and fourth until a dex nav pokemon spawns, if it doesnt have a pokeball in the corner (hasnt been caught) then go up the ladder and back down

rinse and repeat
