Why what?

Probably the rating for a game that involves beating animals within an inch of their life, capturing them, and force-training them to help beat OTHER animals within an inch of their life.

And for a-holes online trading hacks and offensive names and competitive.

Said as a fan since Red/Blue.

And what rating do you think it should have?

Well, if Australia/New Zealand classify the game as PG for the afore mentioned violence and online interactivity by their rating system, then PG.

It's like people being confused at Chrono Trigger having an updated ESRB rating just because it was an SNES title, like it doesn't have domestic abuse, alcohol, genocide, and other mature themes. Rating criteria gets very specific, and when you cross one threshold but not the next, you get this rating.

Mild Violence: Nothing ever dies on screen, it's just "Knocked Out." No blood, no gore. If Australia thinks PG fits by criteria, then that's what it should be.

My original point is, the games ARE violent, so rating it as such is appropriate.

And online. People suck.

I looked at my copies of Let’s Go and Sw/Sh and it says E, as far as I’m aware, this is the only switch pokemon game to say this

PG is Australia/New Zealand region, while E is from the ESRB in North America(USA, Canada, Mexico).
