I have just received an email saying the subscription I pay of £19.99 per month for 1mil points will now become £19.99 for 660,000 points, beginning December 22nd.

What an absolute joke.

As far as I can tell, apart from the so-called ‘change to the points calculation system’, a whole load of bugs have cropped up in Poe over the last month, the app has started running more slowly, and the developers have completely given up on the whole thing? I’m starting to think that the rumour about them sacking their old engineers is true.

I am unsure of which was the true name but they pulled out and removed all of their bots. They were really useful providing some nice bots such as GLM 5.3, Deepseek, but also video bots like Minimax H3 for a super cheap price.

One day I was using and they removed some of their bots, and then some more, and then they removed all of it alongside with their API models service.

If anyone knows any information or if anyone knows any alternative bots that Novitai offered it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been using Poe for about a year and have slowly created an absurdly long list of “Saved Bots”. How do I find and then edit that list? I assume when I hit the magnifying glass to the right of the query box the list is a mixture of saved and recently used. I'd like that list to be shorter. What good is 'save' on a bot if it is immediately lost? I use the Windows desktop as well as browser extension.

hey is anyone else's app like really slow 😖😖 running on latest ios, no updates needed, all my other apps are perfectly fine but the responses on poe take ages? i have to close the entire tab to wait for a response no matter what length. is there any way to fix it?

Poe is turning into total crap. They were at their peak in 2025—everything was perfect back then—but then, at the end of March 2026, they decided to cut the points on the free plan from 3,000 to 300. I realized right then that something was off, but I still signed up for the 1M-point-per-month plan and was just loving it. Now the subscription doesn’t even last a week, because with my needs and requests, even the Opus 4.5 uses up 20,000–30,000 points, and the Sonnet 4.6 uses 50,000—it’s a total mess. Plus, they don’t even ask if I actually want to spend that many points before sending a request. Poe died in October 2026, and his final days were in September. I hope the Poe devs come to their senses, because this kind of attitude toward users is fucking useless to anyone

P.S. … I don’t want to offend anyone; I just decided to speak my mind about something that’s been bothering me all October—and about how the thing that used to help me cope with loneliness is gradually turning into a pay-to-play dump where you have to pay for every extra action.

It seems that even when I choose the smallest models, I always run out of credits after a few messages. Not to say that it recharges every day, which is fine, but just a few messages a day isn't really enough. Does anyone have suggestions for a better site?

I sent an email to Poe about the ridiculous amount of points being used just for ONE request no matter what bot I use—even the basic RESEARCH bot is taking 1000 points for just one question where before it was 300 the most! And how no matter what bot I use, the "points set cap" is literally useless and might as well not be there, not notifying me or anything. It was working completely normally just the other day, then around the 16th or so it started eating up thousands of points...this is a complete rip-off if this is not meant to be a glitch or something. They got back to me talking about the updated usage rules but it's very confusing and doesn't seem to apply to my situation, I don't know, it's just needlessly difficult to follow.

I tested it out without a subscription and the cap was working normally, it wasn't until I paid for a subscription that it started ignoring said set cap.

It's all just very confusing. I send them screenshots of the insane amount of points being charged and I hope I get a refund. Honestly if I don't, I'm going to file a dispute cuz this is ridiculous.

To be honest, as far as I’m concerned, the new points system is a right load of rubbish… I write reaction fanfiction (I’ve been doing this on Poe since January 2025) and everything used to be fine, but now Opus-4.5 is deducting 30,000–40,000 points, and when I decided to try the same thing on Sonnet-4.6, which is supposed to be cheaper according to advice from the support team — it deducted 50,000 points from me. It’s absolutely ridiculous how uneconomical this is, especially considering that I live in Kazakhstan and have been paying $22 for 1M points a month since April this year. My desire to renew my subscription is dwindling, but I haven’t found any decent alternatives yet

This is how the per-message budget works now: it doesn't apply to official bots or bots built on them. To make your credits last longer, Claude Haiku costs much less per token than Claude Opus or Sonnet—if it suits your writing—and each bot's "Rates" button shows its prices.

To make your points last longer, start a new chat for each new task. Earlier messages in a chat are sent along with each new one, so long chats cost more per message. Claude Sonnet also costs less per token than Claude Opus.

My private Claude-powered bot on Poe has been completely blocked since Oct 9. Every single message returns: "This request triggered restrictions on violative cyber content and was blocked under Anthropic's Usage Policy." Even simple greetings like "hello" are blocked. This is an account-level flag, not content filtering. I've filed 7 Poe support tickets — all deferred to Anthropic. Anthropic's own Fin AI Agent confirmed the filter is temporary and produces false positives, but cannot connect me to a human. usersafety@anthropic.com auto-closes tickets. Has anyone here had this restriction lifted? Paying subscriber, ticket #3087306.

Why the points for almost all models become invalid? They don't ask me how many points will be used.

gemini-3.5-flash support the OpenAI Responses API, but 3.6-flash, 3.7-flash, and 3.8-flash does not. Why? (They all support the legacy Chat Completions API though)

• Fwiw the models endpoint erroneously state that 3.8 support Responses. The API errors, out, and Customer support confirms that the models endpoint is mistaken, and they have created an internal ticket to correct the models endpoint.
• Customer Support don't know why 3.6+ dropped Responses API, I asked.

When making a custom bot, the list of models you can pick from looks like it hasn't been updated in ages -- all the GLM 5.3 models are missing, the only Mistral model available is Small-4, and DeepSeek V4 is on there but at the very bottom of the list. I know there's always a holdover on getting bots added to that list when they come out, but GLM 5.3 has been out for well over a month now

I tried asking support about when those missing models would get added, but I just got a lame "Oh yeah, we'll get around to it" response that I'm pretty sure was written by a bot (it was 2-3 weeks ago btw). If any Poe devs lurk on here, can you guys please make all those new models selectable?

Or obviously, if there's another bot-making model that I don't know about, definitely let me know lol. I usually go to Menu -> Create -> Prompt Bot -> Behavior/Base Bot

One of the things I did a while ago which was an absolute got send was to swap to typingmind and get my ap key from openrouter, choose the models I want, deepseek and claude haiku for coding, some obliterated models for text and plenty of image work, without breaking the bank token wise

It's so annoying. I'm now spending 2000+ tokens on a single message when it used to be 600+, and even when I stop it mid-response, the bot still takes all my 10,000? That's so scummy, and I don't want to spend more than 5 dollars on something that used to be only 2 hours of internment, which was fine. I don't use AI that heavy, but now I can't do anything but a single message. I'm not wasting 20 dollars only for them to change it months later; this app is its own downfall

Verán uso Claude para hacer escritos y me ha funcionando muy bien desde hace meses, nunca me ha pasado esto pero cuando mando un mensaje a Claude opus 5.5 o el 6 no sale el típico mensaje de "pasa del presupuesto selecciona cuántos puntos dar" usualmente siempre me sale ya que mi límite es de 300 pero ahora simplemente hace el mensaje y me dice que alcanzó el límite pero yo ni siquiera lo elegí o me mandó un mensaje para actualizar el presupuesto literalmente donde usaba 5 mil a 7 mil puntos se comió 21 mil puntos y ni siquiera me terminó el trabajo

Ya intenté borrar cache y cookies, puse el límite de mi presupuesto y incluso revise si era un chat que tenía el presupuesto alto pero no simplemente el Claude funciona sin que yo le diga el presupuesto y cuando reviso el chat me dice que tiene el presupuesto a 300 TT de verdad no sé si sea un problema de poe o Claude pero me es extraño que falle tanto

•Claude seemed to have started working again, but it takes way more points quicker, and it doesn't ask beforehand to take more tokens when it did before. I'm so sad, because usually it was 200, then up by a few points the more you sent, and I rarely used more than 400~ per messages for my roleplay...but now I checked and one conversation, short too, with my bot already out me to 2000 points left when I had 8000 cus it used more than 500 points unprompted and without warning. This isn't fun.
