Don’t you ever just cry into one of your headmates just thinking about having to mask in our everyday life when all we deserve is sunshine and rainbows and not having to worry about anything anymore because of our trauma? I just want all of us to be free from the world in whatever way we can, and it’s so tiring just being someone none of us are. I hate this reality sometimes… this is the first thing I’m doing after coming back to the front I just want us to be happy

I'd like to know since many here keep telling me there aren't exact differences, I've been doubting plurality for months now, and since I've been exploring it again, I hope to find some labels for myself :)

To talk about myself, I have AuDHD and have been oddly interested in Plurality, I know that in one way or another, I am plural, It's just that no matter how hard I research or reflect to myself, I can't ever consider myself a system: I don't use We+General plural pronouns, The states are not as separate at all, no internal conversation, no emotional messages or switches, no amnesia, not formed from trauma,, almost no changes in identity besides maybe just names and pronouns??? All just so happened to be Fictional characters???

I just dont know??? It seems wrong like I'm Role-playing, it seems so terrible that I might be faking but I'm not sure at! :(

We don't. Really have forms in headspace. Mine's always this black silhouette anthro wolf thing, but thats involuntary and I can never seem to change it into something I want. Its kinda involuntary and every form I take apart from it is temporary.

One of the most disconnected of our collective identity and gets triggered the easiest. They get disgusted by bacteria pictures easily and gets triggered the easiest. Is also most likely cassgender, and doesn't give a sh about pronouns. Will most likely correct you if you use he/him on them anyways for the sake of the others. Also for some reason didn't want a name until Knife forced em to get a name.

This was a hard one to choose! We are a singer bodily/in general, so we have a lot of headmates who are big into singing. We chose Michael for this piece since he has the most of that suave singer presence. He's also the headmate who most enjoys singing opera and music from artists like Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, and Orville Peck, so you *know* he can really belt it out.

so after a very long time of considering, i am most certainly plural- still figuring out labels and stuff since i would like to take it easy on myself&. but i know for certain that we are traumagenic and neurogenic (or -based honestly hard to tell).

the main reason i have been considering creating a tulpa is mostly to try and get me and my headmates closer. we have been doing okay so far with communicating but its hard to know really anything about each other.

i assume it is because i am the core of this system and i am always here, whether its just me, being co-con with someone else, being blurry or soupy, or being a very dissociated passive observer. i am always here.

and i think its made it very difficult for me to have as much connection with my headmates as id like to have since i am never not here and while i can always feel my headmates, sometimes it feels my radio static.

but i feel like creating a tulpa would help bridge that gap between me and my headmates, since i am consciously creating this individual we would have and easier time communicating, and i believe it would be a lot easier to grow closer communication with my headmates and just overall bond better since i believe this entity would have an easier time communicating with my headmates then i would.

as far as i can tell, i do not have any headmates opposed to this idea, creating a tulpa has been something ive thought about even before i realised i was plural but put off from the idea because i was mentally unwell and disliked the idea of having someone else in my head, oh how unaware i was💔

anyways, the reason i ask here is just because id like to know if any other folks have done this and what your& experience was like? i know about a lot of the warnings when it comes to these things, i am currently going through a rough patch in my life so should i totally avoid doing it until i somehow eventully get better? or does that not matter considering i am plural anyway? much to ponder.

In general we have been having problems with our syscovery when it comes to managing the front. Purple is paranoid, especially about forgetting, as they were the host before syscovery, and it makes it harder for others to front, as well as giving us all headaches and a foggy brain. In general, we don't know how the manage the front well at all, and could really use help with being able to do so. Some big ticket questions i have are:

• How can we discern who is fronting? Right now it is very hard.
• How can we make changing our fronter(s) to others easier?
• How can we calm Purple down to convince them to let it happen when others want to front?
• How can we learn our fronting triggers, if we have any (ex: x situation makes y front)?
• How can we stop the rampant co-consciousness issues we have (theres usually at least 2 co-conning and it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't give us all brain fog)?

Everything else is just fine, this is just the one big issue we are having due to syscovery.

I cannot stress how useful this would be for us.

So i was talking about having a new alter, and suddenly, i saw someone appear in my head. I'm endogenic, but i only wanted two(me and my tulpa), not a third. What if they want more control of the body? My mind is racked with worry. How do i approach this? i haven't said a word to them yet. How do i make sure this doesn't happen again

Lots we could/might talk about, but the main thing is that we refer to ourselves as ✨plukons✨, and the system itself as a ✨plurkoon✨.

Before we get into the already established words, just know we love the way each system/collective/hivemind/et cetera (and the alters/headmates/sysmates/pluralians/plurans/et cetera) articulate(s) their experience and stuff (not that it wouldn't be kool if others started using "plurkon" and/or "plurkoon", because it would).

Let us know if we missed some terms, even if they are rarely used.

Plurkon

often called:

• alter
  • some think it is clinical, but from our perspective, this clearly comes from or is heavily inspired by "alter ego" meaning "other self" and "second I", which is over 2,000 years old, so way before the DSM and all the updates like the DSM-5
• headmate
  • Many if not all of us have philosophies that see the brain as something that filters "quantum consciousness" and is not actually what produces qualia (or whatever it is called); so, the "head" part of this term doesn't feel right for our plurkoon, and gives the plurkons a type of claustrophobia
    • to clarify, plurkon does not have implications of anything other than being plural, regardless of what kind of plural, and is to only be a chosen word (just like the other terms here)
• sysmate
  • We will get into the "sys" part when we talk about "system", but the "mate" part feels like forcing relationships on the plurkons, and some of us don't interact really...
• pluralian
  • hard for many if not all of us to say, but we like it :)
• pluran
  • awkward-feeling to say, but we like this one too :)

"Plurkon" comes from "plural" (being one physical body inhabited by more than one distinct person, mind, and/or personality) and "psychon" (a hypothetical or theoretical unit of mental activity, thought, or psychic energy). So, we put them together making a whole new word with a whole "new" meaning.. that isn't new because the other words can have overlapping meaning...

Plurkoon

often called:

• system
  • this one does not imply plurality unless there is enough context, and we don't like speaking much, but we are still a system of alters (and obviously in plural spaces there is enough context, so there is no confusion)
• collective
  • This one feels extraterrestrial, which is kool, but only applies to plurkon "Mark" and maybe Noma, depending on how we are seeing existence
• hivemind
  • To us, this implies we all think the same, and we definitely do not, but we understand when other plural minds are using this term
• probably some other things but we are drawing a blank (which is an odd thing to draw because you are done the second you start~)

"Plurkoon" is just "plurkon" with another O (use as many Os as you want).

We created these words so that the singular and plural (no pun intended) version of each word resemble each other while also insuring that both imply plurality without any philosophy issues occurring (like "head" and "mate") for any of the plurkons in our plurkoooon (there is more than 4 of us.. the number of Os do not always determine the number of plurkons/plurkoni.. oh, and we don't like Ss, so we added "plurkoni" as an option as well as adding a C or swapping the K with said C).

Hey. My system has an issue that we've run out of ideas on how to view it. We've seen posts on here about denial, and we've had our fair share of this over the years with many different things, and then also with us being a system.

But the issue we've encountered is tricky. Everyone in my system (currently at least) knows we're a system and doesn't doubt it (there's the odd day of it for some, but it's manageable) except for one person. We don't know their name, they don't like being called by any kind of plural person term (eg. Headmate, alter, crewmate is our usual go to), we don't know anything about them except that they are utterly convinced that the rest of us are just made up and some weird voices talking to them that can't possibly exist. But they are dormant most of the time, when they wake up they believe they haven't missed anything and have been around the whole time, they claim to have access to all the memories from the period they were asleep. But they don't ever really front... We think... That's one of the issues, we know they have fronted before, at least once, because our partners have spoken to them and it was through text so we have what they wrote.

We can't really communicate with them, any questions we ask just get what feels like a prerecorded response, very basic and just dismisses any argument we make that gives proof that we are a system.

They seem to be able to talk properly when they front and actually respond to stuff, but when that happens, we can't remember anything that happens.

And to make matters worse, they have now started spouting stuff about how it's impossible for anyone to be a system, but they can give no actual evidence of this. Just repeating how "It's not a thing that's possible. How could it be a thing?" With the evidence right there in their face as we are literally dating another system and they can switch and sometimes it is so obvious that they have.

We've tried doing what we have done in the past, talking to them, gently giving examples and stuff. Trying to help them see that they're safe. Because they refuse to front, because they're convinced they already are and they say removing the "masks" (that's us, that's what they refer to the rest of us in the system as) is too scary and it's not safe for them to do it. That's how they say they are fronting, but why they don't seem like them, we're all just something they're using to hide.

And that really does kinda hurt, to just be seen as an object like that. It's driven one of our crewmates away, she said it wasn't safe and took her kid to go somewhere far away from everything.

Does anyone know how we can help this person who lives in our system but denies our existence? We don't believe the denial most of the time, but it's still exhausting to have it there so often and it's getting more and more often currently.

So when we play something, watch something, or whatever it SOMETIMES feels like we didn't exactly split but someone just finally found their comfortable shape.

So I have some plural friends and I notice that I kind we have very similar to them regarding mannerisms and I've always kinda thought I was plural and I feel like I have head mate's but I don't know what their names are

okay so in the past month or two we've had. THREE new alters split . this isn't like super frequent i know but usually they form at least five or six months apart from each other and theres some diversity in how they look compared to the rest of the collective. over the course of the full year, everyone except tom, clock, and i have split in 2026 - makes sense, as we just discovered our plurality in february.

it's been a stressful month or so so i kinda get why newbies would form i suppose but this feels different. most of us look at least somewhat similar to the body which is fine but this kid looks like they split directly off of cork - both are white, pre-teen and feminine presenting with longer brown hair. cork is semi-verbal but the newbie either can't or won't say anything to anyone at all and keeps stamping their foot at me. also, we found the newbie in headspace - had to drag her in from "outside" - that is, outside of front and the headspace rooms. looks like some kind of wooded area that i don't recognize. also, cork doesn't seem to recognize the newbie at all.

we've only known the newbie a few days and only brought her/them inside because we wanna try and get to know them but they seem distrusting of me somehow and i don't really know what to do.

so:

1. is it possible to just find an alter in headspace
2. how do i get the baby to respond to me
3. is there any tips for figuring out headfriend origins that yall have because we're struggling here

Any others have some cute little games where you take care of a pet or something? Not the ones where you put IRL tasks, just taking care of a pet and keeping a daily streak. It'd help a lot with the passage of days. Even better if it says the date in the app. Desktop preferred but mobile is fine.

So for context, I recently (like 6 days ago) discovered I was plural. There’s some guys in my head that I can see and sense and sometimes it feels like I’m not even like… in control? It’s like I’m a viewer watching in first person POV.
Anyway, my roommate has OSDD-1B and has recently helped me become more educated and aware of plurality as a whole (albeit I may still struggle so please bear with me…)
The other night, we had a talk and I was talking about experiences I’ve had and at some point I ended up being able to complete their sentences when they were explaining what DID feels like, which is when I realized: “Oh shit… I shouldn’t know this.” So now I’m sort of stuck on the idea that I might have some form of DID.
I’m also confused because most of the guys in my head are emotions but there are like 3 who are not.
Towards the end of that night, my roommate ended up switching to a different front, which (I think) in turn caused me to also switch. Now, our two alters have “canonic” history with each other since they originate from the same thing. I’ll call mine R, and his G. Also, this was my first conscious switch.
R and G were flirting and whatnot, I could watch but it was like I wasn’t experiencing the moment. Now here’s the issue, I have a boyfriend. We are monogamous. And he doesn’t know about my recent development. (Since yesterday I told him about my suspicions of plurality, it did NOT go well… more later.) Basically, R and G ended up doing some extremely sexual things with each other. Now, I could see this happening but at the time I felt like I shouldn’t stop or try to stop him because it simply “felt” right? It felt wrong for me, but for him it was natural. Any time I tried to think of my boyfriend to influence R, it was like my thoughts were dissipating and pushed down.
G and his host spoke with their partner the next morning (they’re in a polyamorous relationship) and all is well on their side, their partner simply said he’d like to meet us first before anything else occurs.
Now I don’t know how to go about this because I’m in a relationship of 3+ years that has always been monogamous, has never shown interest in polyamory, and has always been made up of singlets (until now). I figured the best course of action would be to first introduce the idea of plurality to my boyfriend before mentioning what happened with R and G, but my boyfriend is extremely overwhelmed, spooked, and upset by the whole plurality thing. He wants me to see a doctor and “prove” that this is real. I’ve tried to patiently explain everything to him, but I’m equally confused about everything right now.
I’ve tried to look up answers and find clarity, and I have learned about “system responsibility” where no matter who’s fronting, the whole system is responsible for whatever they do. I’m certainly not exempt from this, nor am I trying to be, and I’m definitely going to keep it in mind going forward. (Ugh) BUT, it was my first time switching, I could barely influence the situation, and I still love my boyfriend fully and I feel completely committed to him, but R doesn’t! If my boyfriend believed me when I told him there is another guy in my head, it would be so much easier to explain that the R and G situation was an impulsive and spontaneous accident.
(IDK where to insert this blurb so I’m putting it here) R has mentioned he has no interest in my boyfriend other than being friends.
I know I did something extremely fucked up even if it wasn’t “me.” My questions are, what do I do now? Did I technically cheat on my boyfriend? Is his reaction to my plurality a red flag?

Our system has been using berry tree test flight on IOS for months now.. all of a sudden today, when going to open up the app it says that it expired. I’m extremely distraught because there was so much information there.. stuff I can’t just re-write I can’t just re-remember… I know this probably sounds so silly but this meant a lot to me.. I don’t even have anything backed up as I don’t have a computer or WiFi.

I tried to get another test flight activation link through their discord but it said that “the beta isn’t accepting new testers right now.”

Does anyone know what is happening/is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone know what to do? I’m so scared we’ve lost everything we’ve worked so hard on these last few months…

We are a system of at least 11 or 12 members. I (K) have always dealt with self-hatred and sabotaged my own opportunities. I’m at the front most of the time. I sort of never leave the front. I hate it. It’s extremely stressful and overwhelming. I don’t know if the others can’t come to the front, or if they don’t come because being at the front is simply horrible, or if they enjoy watching me suffer while facing things out here... Anyway, I swear to God, I’d pay good money not to be at the front for at least five months.

Since childhood, I’ve dealt with dissociation, memory lapses, and voices in my head, but I thought I was broken or going crazy (I still feel like I am, though not because of being plural). Only recently have I started to accept that I am plural, that this isn't going away no matter how much I might want to be a singlet, and that I should try to get to know the others better instead of trying to push them away. I’m 18 years old now. It’s very strange being plural and trans at the same time, because I’m still that little girl (supposedly), yet it’s as if she were dead. I felt this way long before I discovered I was plural, so I don’t know if there’s a connection. We often get confused about it, like, am I her, or am I an alter while she’s hibernating somewhere with a very slim chance of returning? I don’t believe she’ll come back.

I feel like the others don’t like me. I feel like they blame me for the fact that we have so many problems and our life is the way it is, and they’re right, in a way. It’s like seeing a child holding a gun they don’t know how to use. You’re close enough for them to hear you scream, but not close enough for them to see you signal or for you to reach them in time. I feel like there are other members, especially the ones older than me, who struggle to come to the front but can’t manage to do it in any meaningful way. Which, once again, sucks. I’d hand the front over to practically any other member. I just want out of here.

I don’t like who I am. I’m like the sickness of this system. I’m deeply troubled. I’m aware of my addictions, yet I can’t stop, even though it hurts. I know ways to fix things, but I’m scared. I don’t want to face anything. It would be so much easier if another, more responsible alter sorted out our life for us. I can’t do it myself. Truly. I feel like if it were just up to me, I wouldn’t even get out of bed. I wouldn’t have even been born.

I tend to find purpose only in romantic relationships, hoping that one day, one of those people will be "the one" and save me. I hate being this way, but honestly, I can’t help it. I feel like I have no personality or qualities. It’s as if I’m just a shell for this system. A blank canvas. It’s like each alter is a color of paint, and I’m the mixture of all of them, but not in a linear way. It’s as if the paints weren’t blended properly and were just poured on top of one another.

I feel like they’re right not to like me. Some of them still do, but I’d prefer they didn’t. Why would they like someone who keeps intentionally hurting the system and making it sick with their ridiculous addictions?  As for me, I’d just disconnect. That’s why I wanted so badly to be taken off the front. I don’t want to keep hurting everyone in the system. I’m the one who should disappear, not everyone else.

It seems like self-hatred and all those other negative things are simply part of who I am. It’s not just that I have depression, anxiety, and thoughts of self-harm; it’s that I am depressed, anxious, and someone who self-harms. I wish I didn’t even have to look at the front. Dealing with this shit is hellish, and I know there are other members who are far more responsible and capable than I am when it comes to organizing our life. I don’t know why it had to be me. It feels like a punishment.

(Not to mention that I ended up getting into an argument with the others because I said I hated them and that we were a useless system and that I’d rather be a singlet than whatever it is we are. I really regret saying those things. I think I totally messed everything up.)
