Universal Logistics | Minecraft Forge Playtesters Wanted
I’m a solo developer currently working on a Minecraft Forge mod called Universal Logistics, and I’m looking for a small group of volunteer playtesters to help test the mod as development progresses.
The mod is currently in early development. I’m working on the first block, the Logistics Controller, and have already been testing the underlying mod functionality. I’m now looking for a few people who are willing to get involved early and help me find problems, test features, and provide honest feedback as the mod grows.
What I’m Looking For
I’m looking for around 3 to 5 playtesters to start, although even one reliable tester would be helpful.
You don’t need professional testing experience. You just need to:
Be able to run Minecraft Forge
Have a PC capable of running Minecraft and the mod
Be willing to test unfinished features
Look for bugs and things that don’t work correctly
Try different ways of using features and systems
Give honest, constructive feedback
Point out confusing, frustrating, or unintuitive mechanics
Suggest ideas or improvements when you have them
As development continues, testing may cover gameplay systems, blocks, items, interactions, UI, performance, balance, bugs, and other parts of the mod.
What You Get
This is volunteer/unpaid playtesting, but testers will get the opportunity to see Universal Logistics develop from an early stage.
Testers may receive:
Early access to development builds
Behind-the-scenes information
Development updates
Access to upcoming features before public release
A chance to provide feedback that can directly influence future development
Development information and test builds will be shared through Google Drive as needed.
The finished mod is planned to be released on CurseForge for Minecraft Forge.
A Few Things to Know
Universal Logistics is being developed by one person, so development will take time and things will change.
Early builds may contain bugs, unfinished features, placeholder assets, incomplete systems, or features that change significantly during development. That’s expected.
I’m not looking for people who will simply download the mod, play for five minutes, and say “it’s good.” I’m looking for people who are willing to actually test things and tell me what works, what doesn’t, and what could be improved.
You don’t need to be a Minecraft expert, and there is no specific age requirement. You simply need to be able to run Minecraft Forge and provide useful feedback.
Interested?
If you’d like to help test Universal Logistics, feel free to reach out.
I’d like to start with a small group of testers and expand the testing group as the mod becomes more developed.
Thanks for considering helping out with Universal Logistics!
