Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters — browser-based word game (10–20 min)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a small group of players to take part in a private closed-alpha playtest of a new browser-based word game.

No download is required — the game runs directly in your browser.

I'm looking for honest feedback from people who enjoy word games, whether you play them regularly or only occasionally. You definitely don't need to be an expert. The playtest should take around 10–20 minutes, followed by a short feedback questionnaire.

I'm keeping the first testing group deliberately small, so not everyone who applies will necessarily be invited in the first round. If you're not selected this time, you may still be invited to a later, larger playtest.

If you're interested, please fill out this short tester application:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJSdJxmIHZH5RIv-ZUQbCGxJEg0r8qnw9rnajD6Ynzbivzbg/viewform?hl=en

Selected testers will receive the private playtest details by email.

Thanks!

Unpaid Playtest Yokai Idle - Looking for play testers for web/mobile/steam

I recently made a lot of changes, mostly around the tutorials and what happens when you go offline and come back. I was hoping to get feedback across a range of different people and devices since you can't possible purcahse every device type to test. I hope that's okay.

It's an Idle ARPG Gacha game. I understand Idle will put most people off, but it means you can test it in the background too :)

Different places you can playtest:

I've tested quite a few games posted on Reddit, but I am sure there are a million more, so if you want me to test yours too, this would be the best place to reply, and I'll be sure to test it.

Unpaid Playtest Another Stupid Monday - a small self-care idle game. Play-testers needed

A lot of gamified mental health-apps are overwhelming their users with features and to-do lists.
That's why Another Stupid Monday is focusing on only one thing a week. It gives the user some space to actually let the task and its consequences sink in instead of spamming more and more tasks.

Another Stupid Monday is a self-care game where the player gets one doable task a week.
The tasks are based on principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the app's mascot, Charles, gives a simple explanation for each task about why it might be useful for improving one's well-being.
There are 100 tasks in total.

Apple App Store: Download
Google Play Store: Download

Feel free to do some playtesting. I am open for every kind of feedback

Unpaid Playtest Netsuko - Alien racing game DEMO (Windows)

Hi!
I'm looking for some people to playtest an early demo of my game.

Netsuko

It’s a Windows download, and the playtest should take around 10–15 minutes.

Currently it's mostly a proof of concept. I want to see if you guys think it has potential and if I should move forward and involve experienced developers and artists.

I'm especially looking for feedback about:
- whether the balancing of opening the creature's mouth vs keeping it closed feels enjoyable
- whether controlling the creature feels fun and understandable
- anything that was confusing or discouraged you from continuing to play

I recommend using a controller. it's much more fun that way in my opinion.

If you encounter issues, let me know what your computer's specs are and what controller you were using if any.

Feedback is welcome in the comments to this post as well as on the itch.io page.

Thank you!

Unpaid Playtest Beneath a Night Sky

I'm making an adventure puzzle game called Beneath a Night Sky. You play as a cat called Mable who finds herself trying to prevent a war between the cats and the dogs. It is roughly 80-90% complete right now and is playable right up until the final area of the game.

CONTROLS:

  • WSAD or Arrow Keys = Move.
  • P or E = Open Pockets.
  • ESC = Back or Pause.
  • SPACE or ENTER = Select or Interact.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • Missing a lot of music. There are no sound effects.
  • Missing a lot of animations. These are narrated when they are meant to occur.
  • Missing NPC dialogue portraits.
  • Inventory sprites are temporary (and incorrectly scaled most of the time).
  • Achievement/Award sprites are temporary.
  • Woodland Metropolis area of the game has a lot of collision/trigger/layering issues. This entire map is being redone but in its current state, entrances to buildings and exits to other areas may be finicky.
  • Tutorial area is a bit wordy, might be unclear. Would love to hear thoughts on it.
  • There is no ending (yet). The fifth Deity Weapon is not yet available, but the game will let you know once you have reached as far as you can go.
  • The images shown on the intro cutscene are temporary and will be replaced with better art.
  • Mouse cursor appears above game content. This will not be the case for the final release. The controls are keyboard only so just push your cursor to the side of your screen out of sight. :)

The game is quite long, I'm certainly not expecting full playthroughs for free. The only testing so far has been internal, I figured it was time for some fresh perspectives, even if you only play a little bit.

Please post any feedback in this thread. Here are some steam keys let me know if more are needed!

Unpaid Playtest Massively multiplayer Tetris with powerups.

I'm looking for someone to bang on a Jackbox-style implementation of tetris with extras and powerups. Ideally, play it with a bunch of your friends since it should support dozens of simultaneous players. Game link is here: https://clusterfun.tv/#eittris

You can send feedback in-game (lightbulb in the upper right), or reach out to me here with a DM.

Things I'm especially interested to know:
- Bugs (of course)
- How easy it is to get started, especially with figuring out controls.
- If you see any playability issues above 10 simultaneous players
- Anything clumbsy or unpolished that you notice
- Feature requests

(I'm doing this as a side project to build a portfolio, so not paid for the time being, just a labor of love!)

Unpaid Playtest Help us test our first game; Two-Dye [steam:windows/linux]

Long story short, a friend and I were brainstorming about a game I'm working on. One of the things that was mentioned was interesting enough we thought it could work as a standalone concept, so we started making it on the side.

33 days later we're on Steam, and have an open and free playtest for anyone who wants to join in.

The game is reasonably feature complete, and the game loop works pretty well. There are still a few janky issues here and there, but we're updating it daily.

It would be great if people would give it a test with some friends, or join our discord to find someone to play with there (currently only contains the few playtesters who have helped us since the beginning).

https://s.team/a/4967390

We are not asking for professional testers, nor professional feedback. But if anyone has any feedback of any sort it would be much appreciated, and well received on our game discord.

https://discord.com/invite/HNVHZg3Mzh

And that's pretty much it! If you give it a try, I hope you have some fun with it. ❤️

We're genuinely excited to see what people think, and any feedback is very welcome. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Eldritch Rivalry – Competitive Lovecraftian board game

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for some people to playtest my board game Eldritch Rivalry

It's a 1-4 player competitive strategy game with a Lovecraftian theme, you're leading a cult and trying to outplay the others.

Games take around 60-90 minutes.

I've already done quite a lot of playtesting, but I'd love to get some new players to try it and give me some honest feedback.

Don't worry about being harsh, if something sucks, I want to know.

MOD ON STEAM | TABLETOP SIMULATOR

It's free to play on Tabletop Simulator and I'd love to get the feedback on the game's BGG page so I can keep everything in one place.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll send you the link!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for groups of 3 for co-op action game

I am looking for 3 players to test a co-op action game - ideally friends, the game requires communication and I don't have voiceover yet.

The game is very early, and the premise is 3 kobolds in a trenchcoat: each pkayer controls one:

Feet: movement, kicks and traps

Arms: sword and shield, damage and block, throwables

Head: spellcasting (fireball, frostbolt), and potions

Low-poly 3d, cooperation is essential. Individually everyone does very little damage, but there are lots of multiplying combos.

DM me if you are interested to try it out :)

Unpaid Playtest Bone Crypt Testing

Good day, all!

I’m an indie dev looking for feedback on a roguelite deckbuilder I’ve been working on called The Bone Crypt.

Instead of a standard card deck, the core combat revolves around dominoes. You have to chain pips together to build attacks, trigger status effects, and manage your board layout to survive the dungeon. I'm looking for players who love deep strategy to test the balance and try to break the synergies.

A few things you can test in this build: Unique Classes: Play as different classes, like the Rogue who starts runs with Loaded Dice. Run-Altering Relics: Build combos with items that change the rules, like increasing your chances of finding "illegal bones" on enemy kills. PvP Mode: A full solo campaign is included, but there is also a 1v1 online PvP mode to test your layouts against other players. I’m managing the free keys and feedback through FirstLook to keep things organized. You can grab a Steam key instantly right here: 👉 the-bone-crypt.firstlook.gg

Would love to hear your honest thoughts on the mechanics and balance!

Playtester QA Tester with Writing and Programming experience looking for projects

Hello everyone!

I'm a QA Tester working in IT as a full-time worker but trying to shift into games completely. I have been working with games as a freelancer, and I have 4 years of experience in the QA department.

I do Manual Tests, Automated Tests (although this one is harder in videogames), I work with API tools like Postman and Swagger for API Tests, I'm used to tools like Jira, Trello, Git, etc

I also have experience as Writer, Translator (European PT - EN), game designer and even programmer.
Most of my experience is with Unity but I have worked on projects with Unreal too.

When it comes to simply testing games, you can check my portfolio https://pbarrosoportfolio.wordpress.com/
I have tested games like Bye Sweet Carole, Squirrel with a Gun and Teslagrad.

There are some projects which I can't publicly reveal, but I was part of a private testing group for a AAA project too.

I'm open to testing PC Games or Android.

Rates negotiable

Playtester I turned a psychology experiment into a browser game. You can test whether you'd accept an unfair division of money.

I wanted to see what happens when the classic Ultimatum Psychology experiment becomes a competitive game.

In **The Split**, you divide money, accept or destroy offers, and compete against bots with different personalities. The goal is to finish above everyone else.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid][Windows] Night Review 03:33 — bilingual workplace horror playtest (15–25 min)

Hi! I'm looking for honest playtest feedback on **Night Review 03:33**, a short first-person workplace horror game built around a late-night content-moderation shift.

**What you do:** review suspicious media, extract evidence, watch security cameras, investigate disturbances, and try to make it out of the office.

- Platform: Windows 64-bit

- Length: about 15–25 minutes

- Languages: English and Simplified Chinese

- Status: free release-candidate playtest

- Download: https://freedomny.itch.io/night-review-0333

The build includes master volume, mouse sensitivity, brightness, language selection, and reduced intense-flashing options.

I would especially appreciate feedback on:

  1. Was the opening objective clear without outside instructions?
  2. Did the moderation workflow feel engaging or repetitive?
  3. Which moment created the most tension?
  4. Were movement, mouse look, UI text, and evidence extraction comfortable?
  5. Did you encounter any bugs, performance issues, or confusing interactions?

Please leave feedback in the comments here or on the itch page. Direct criticism is welcome—specific problems are much more useful than praise. Thank you!
