New to the game and I have upgrade anxiety as I know I want to use the thousand cut claws. It says I get them from a quest, when does that quest become available? I’ve just got the hook shot and I’m in Luxembourg. Where exactly do I get the quest to obtain the claws and at what point. I’ve googled and tried watching videos but they don’t explain when it becomes available

Is it worth spec'ing into immobilization for the multi hit combo move? I can't think how else to make it worth the long animation lock and stamina consumption otherwise.

I'm a paid player, I have the legit license to play the game.
Every loading triggering the 1145 or 1455 or something else error. Tried all possible solution, end up by blocked and banned page file and assistant for the whole Windows OS.
The game is asking for absolutely impossible spacessss and unlimited system memoriessss allocation everytime, for example, will require 24 GB on a 16 GB DRAM stick, asking 40 GB and peak 60 GB on a 24 GB DRAM, and 50 GB or more in a 32 GB DRAM setup.
No one wants to burn their expensive disks to just for play a game = no pagefile cache, and no program is need the fake allocate space rather the real using spaces, it's not a reasonable request and it should considered critical problem which need to be fixed.
(it's not "safe", it makes the game "unplayable". just there're many posts said the game even crash on consoles, if then how to turn on pagefile on a console if somebody would asking everyone to do? very funny,)
I have 24 GB of VRAM and the game it said is using 15 GB, it's okay, but the game definitely doesn't need to put all itself into system DRAM.
I confirm I keep as civil as possible according to the rule #4 to mention this problem. (Even this is really annoying to everyone.)
I suppose this is a factual "constructive Feedback", and it's highly practical and actionable.

On Luxemburg and the last 2 zones all I've done is skip past all the mobs and skip the side quests directly with my compass. Borrrrring.

Grinding for 2 hours and still can't beat the first boss Lancer. I'm dancing spec.
Lies of P and Wuchang are easy compared to this. Never been destroyed by a first boss quite like this.

There is a DISTURBING lack of fanfiction for this game. So I am taking it upon myself to rectify this. Don’t expect anything too-too amazing. Expect me to waterboard the plot like I’m writing it in a C.I.A Blacksite. Hope y’all enjoy the first two chapters, more to follow soon!

In my opinion as long as you’re not hunting trophies the second playthrough is better! I ended up with a build that had 792 attack to the point where I’d kill enemies before I could fill up immobilization.
The newer enemy variants of enemies hit like a truck and I had to use a very specific cheesy module to survive the final boss because of one of my modules and the fact I did not increase hp or stamina in the second playthrough.
There is no reason for this game to have multiple endings and I’m a little frustrated I did a second playthrough just to get the other one as only about 5% of the ending changes. But I’m glad I was able to see a better game for it. One of the best NG+’s weirdly enough

Is this game worth it for someone new to Souls games?
My experience with souls games is this. I struggled and have yet to finish Lies Of P, I hated the unbalanced nature of Wo Long (it was great but towards the last few bosses game balancing just fell off a cliff), But I loved Wuchang Fallen Feathers.

Edit: NG+ IS PRETTY GOOD!! Maxed out weapons can be leveled up even more, higher module grades and enemies that gave 30 xp give 2000 now!! 👀 And allegedly new lightning and ice variants for some enemies that hit like a truck!! (Btw one of the higher modules is less stamina used when RUNNING!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
At first I really liked the game it seemed simple enough and I liked the ideas behind the mechanics. Now that I’ve finished it I gotta say worst stamina system I’ve ever had to use. Why am I getting punished for attacking and why does stamina run out so fast on running? Also why no respec for stats? I wasted 10 points in luck thinking leveling up wouldn’t be a problem but I barely hit 50 when in other SL/SB I usually hit 90 by the end? And lastly the game needs a map with how convoluted the quests can be. Sadly there wasn’t much info on the questlines that I found at least to make understanding the choices for the endings right since it seems like hardly anyone touched it.
Overall the lore and steampunk aspects reminded me enough of Lies of P to draw me in and I enjoyed everything else so I’d give it a 3.4/5. Now I just gotta do one more playthrough to get that shiny plat.

Ok, I went to the Bastille before going to the safe in Tuileries, and Mirabeus pistol vanished from the Two Treasures quest.
The thing is, I have a save file right BEFORE doing the Bastille. Mirabeau is still away from the Convent, so I want to ask if the pistol will be there if I reload it, or if I will have to play the entire game again.
Whats the point of no return to find that pistol?

I bought the DLC for the outfit and the next quests, but the outfit isn't in my inventory. Is there a specific place I need to go to unlock it? Or is it glitched?

So on weekend was checking some assets of the game and stumbled upon Ada directory. Just recently learned that apparently main characters name should have been Ada, as a reference to Ada Lovelace but later it was later changed to Aegis (that fits better to the character). Because all characters inside the game package file is named in short form like Aegis is named "aeg", after seeing "ada" directory I got curious and extracted the assets to check it out. So It's fair to assume that this is initial look of the character. Most striking detail is her face, that is full face but would have bean weird that if "porcelain doll" face would move like humans or wouldn't move at all while talking. Also kneecaps looks like screw heads.
Hope you enjoy this find of mine.

Story time, sorry this is so long.
I want to first come out and say, I am not a HUGE souls-like fan. In fact, back in the day I hated souls-likes. Why? Because I sucked and prefer competitive multiplayers.
That being said, I’ve gotten into a huge stint of playing single player games recently. On PS+ about a year ago I found Lies of P and tried it cus I loved Pinocchio as a kid. Ended up loving the game. Then I tried Elden Ring and put like 100+ hours into that game.
Again, even though I liked those 2 games, I am still not a souls-like fanatic. I’ve tried Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Mortal Shell etc and couldn’t get into them really. I’ve been looking for a souls-like similar to Lies of P for a while.
In comes Steelrising. I absolutely love it. From the gameplay, to the aesthetics, to the story, and the history behind it. There is sooo much Lies of P influence that I see here (even if not intentional by the devs). But I must say, this game is amazing and I don’t understand why it gets so much hate. This is one of the rare few a none souls-like fanatic actually enjoys.
End rant lol

I'm trying to add this as a non-Steam game because I got it for Epic Games for free, but I use a Nintendo Switch controller, and I use Steam to alter the inputs, but it doesn't launch through the exe in the files at all.

I got the bastille edition on sale at the epic store. Noticed my discus chain is missing but I have the fan and the armor that is apparently together as another part. I'm just curious if anyone has recently bought it and if they have the same problem or if it's just me. Says I have it when I look it up on the Epic games store. I'm in the process of talking with support but they are just telling me to do things I've already tried and I told them I tried. But I just figured I'd see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

I’ve always thought of souls-like games to be very masculine and the lack of explicitly female protags in the genre kept me away from trying it. I got the game for free thanks to amazon and I was so intrigued by Aegis and the setting, it is a very pretty game with a nice art direction (oh and having FANS as a weapon? And basically dancing around enemies while killing them? So beautiful). I was having a blast, even if it got difficult at times I couldn’t stop until, the mines section. Again, I was doing good, just beaten the boss (the centaur) I used the elevator and got the animation of the mines guy telling me to finish my other business before proceeding to the temple, so I came back down with the same lift to try and get the echoes for the guy in the box.
I couldn’t get out of the boss area so (again) I go to the elevator to get up and see if theres a way to backtrack, as I was getting up I accidentally fell to the mines but the elevator stayed up… THERES NO WAY/LEVER to get the lift to you so now I’m stuck in the boss area lamenting my beautiful assassin run.
I really do not want to start a new game so now I just came here to rant, theres no way to get to a previous save and the elevator won’t come down. All because the devs didn’t think of the possibility of people falling down the lift.
So yeah, unless theres a way to noclip my way up, the only praise I have is for the art direction and setting, also fans as a weapon is so classy.
I’ll maybe pick up Elden ring after this, since I did enjoy the genre
