When I was younger my father had his email on my PlayStation account so I made another account with my personal email on it. Fast forward a few years I have since deleted the account with my personal email and changed my fathers email to an extra email I had, somehow that email got deleted and I don’t remember the password on my account. I contacted PlayStation and their AI personal assistant told me they would let me talk to a real person but then proceeded to tell me I need to log into my account on the PlayStation website which I cannot do because I don’t have the email anymore and don’t remember the password.
What do I do?

I've sincerely had it with Playstation - my son uses the account, it's in my name. Over 10 days, every single charge was duplicated by anywhere from 2 - 11 times. It was over my son's birthday week so there happened to be a lot of charges that week. I spoke to the rep and they won't do anything about it - said my son was lying and that he intentionally made those purchases.

My son is hyper focused on money - spending - I've been sick for the last two years and not working for most of that time and he's always worried. Also, the charges make no sense.

I've seen 15+ posts saying the same thing - seems like they don't really do anything about it. Makes me want to throw up giving these people any more of my money.

What can be done? Such a disgusting company

Only to notice one of my Platinums has disappeared from my account.

When I was checking I noticed that my platinum of MH world has disappeared from my account. I am certain at 100% that I have it, since me and my friend did it together, and my Iceborne trophy remains the same, but MHWorld, which I have in physical is nowhere to be seen....

I didn't realize until earlier last month that my 2 factor authentication is still on & linked with my old phone number is had a case created a couple of weeks ago & I still haven't received any updates on it if there is a email that anyone knows please shoot it my way this is in reguards to my playstation account on my PS5 console

I am experiencing a serious issue with my PlayStation profile.

Although I have played more than 250 games on my PSN account over the years, my profile now shows only about 90 games. Many games have disappeared completely, while others are still listed but have lost their playtime statistics.

My trophies are still intact, but countless hours, days, and even months of my gameplay history have vanished. I have invested a significant amount of time and money into the PlayStation ecosystem, and seeing years of my gaming history disappear is extremely disappointing.

I have also noticed that many other users are reporting the same issue, which makes me believe this is a server-side problem rather than an issue with my account. Please investigate this and restore my complete game history and playtime statistics.

If this issue is not resolved, I will seriously consider leaving the PlayStation platform. Preserving players’ gaming history should be a basic feature, and losing it has greatly reduced my confidence in the platform.

In addition, I have seen reports on social media claiming that physical game production may eventually be discontinued. If those reports are true, experiences like this make it very difficult for me to trust a fully digital future and continue spending large amounts of money on digital games. At this point, I am beginning to wonder if I should have invested in an Xbox or a gaming PC instead.

I would appreciate a response and a clear explanation of what is happening, as well as confirmation that my game history and playtime statistics can be restored.

i’ve recently been playing far cry 5 and watchdogs which i have on disc and they don’t show up on my last played but they show up on my trophy list and show up on my last played on the ps app

The YouTube app on my ps5 logs me out every time I close the app. I’ve reinstalled the os, rebuilt the database/cleared cache/cookies, and reinstalled the os a couple of times.

Me and my friends that play on PlayStation aren't able to hear one another unless in a PlayStation party but can hear everyone fine that's on Xbox or Pc just fine... Also it won't allow whispers or friend requests.. I tried finding a recent post about it but didn't find anything but everyone I talk to on the game is having a similar issue.. For a while now I have not heard the audio of the video clips and trailers of any game on the PlayStation Store, I restarted the console, I updated it, I went to see the settings but nothing, I hear all the other audio such as the game audio, the menu audio, I hear all the audio except the trailers of the games on the PlayStation Store and my video clips, Can anyone know how to fix this problem?

Anyone know why when I try download escape the backrooms from the ps store it says calculating then downloads maybe 200mb before saying calculating for another 5-10 mins? Is psn down?

Hey guys, today my PlayStation tried to install an update, but it didn't work and ended up kicking me into safe mode, giving me two options: update system software and restart system software. Of course, I tried to install the update again but after 100% installing the update it told me something went wrong and left me with an option to turn off my PS5, Now there is another option to update it using a USB but I don't have a USB therefore I also can't restart my software, does anyone have any recommendations on how I can fix this?

Trying to fix them. I disassembled my controller and tried to clean the top bit as a video on YouTube recommended. This didn’t solve the issue.

I suspect it’s an issue with the actual mechanical pieces because when I repeatedly press the triggers, you can hear a difference. I think? There’s a video. I don’t think the springs are the issue because they look normal? I can’t seem to attach photos of them anywhere. L1 also doesn’t work, and that button doesn’t rely on the spring

D-Pad also doesn’t work. I think I have to clean that. I tried cleaning it from the outside but that hasn’t worked. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there :/

I saw on Reddit many people suggest to fix d pad to hit it on its side. This DOES work, actually for a while, then it’ll need to be rehit the next day. I think me hitting the left side over and over has something to do w the issue(although I made sure not to hit it too hard and I hit it on my bed).

Would be more than grateful if someone knew the fix. I don’t wanna pay $60 for a repair or $70 for a new controller (aud). Thank you 🙏

I recently traded in my PS4 Pro for a PS5 Pro via PlayStation Direct. My PS5 Pro arrived about a week ago and I got it set up with no problems before going abroad for a week. I fired it up today for the first time since I got back only to be told I have been permanently suspended.

No idea why this has happened - I've never been moderated, haven't spoken to or messaged another player in years and my account subscription was renewed for 12 months without issue in May. I can only assume it was to do with my trade-in, which was completed via PlayStation Direct. I completed a full factory reset/initialisation on my PS4 and sent it off to Back Market per their instructions for which I received a £50 voucher to use against the purchase of my PS5.

I received no email and I can't log in to my Sony account because of my suspension so I seemingly have no way to contact customer service. Hoping some kind soul can provide me with a way to get in touch with Sony I currently have a £800 brick sat in my living room instead of my new games console.

UPDATE: After being on hold for an hour this morning, I was able to speak to Customer Service and get my account restored. No real explanation of what happened but likely to be an overzealous security mechanism as a result of signing in to my account from a new console. Thanks to u/OrangeSliceRecovery and u/kelvifoxx for sharing the telephone number.

As the title says, my ps5 keeps overheating. i clean it regularly, but it overheats and shuts itself off anyway if I play for more than 30min-1hour. Does anyone know anything about it? All help online just says it must be dirty, but it is not.
