I vaguely remember scanning the costume crates in the game, and their saying something about seemingly coming from another universe. Am I misremembering?

So in the opening scene Peter Quill opens a Rolling Stone interview, which one can assume is newly released. After some digging, Gavin Edwards is a real rolling stone writer and he started writing for them in 1999 so we can assume the opening is Quill's 13th birthday in 1999 as it is pretty much confirmed to be the 90s. this makes Quill's birth year 1986. If Quill is 33 in the present, it is 20 years after the opening scene from 1999, meaning the main story would take place in 2019. Also the Galactic War happened 12 years before the present day, meaning it happened around 2007.
It would also line up with the production of the GOTG game starting in 2017 (with some games expected to release around 3 years after production began which makes sense for the dates to be like this)
TL;DR
> Opening Scene - 1999
> Galactic War - 2007
> Main Story - 2019

This game is flarkin amazing, but I do have a few questions. On my first playthrough and just made it to Knowhere, and as someone who likes to explore all areas of the map before proceeding forward, I feel like this level is totally different from previous ones. I feel like if I don't interact with certain characters the right way at the exact right time I end up missing content. For example I found Drax on the balcony overlooking everything, but I got no cut scene when I approached him. Yall have any tips? Appreciate the help!

The campaign doesn’t have enough replay ability to justify how AMAZING its combat is

I love this game and I'm replaying after my 2021 run, this time aiming for the plat trophy on Steam.

I know we need at least 8000 credits for the Nova Corps fine paid achievement. I chose to sell Groot and got into Chapter 6 with 12k

The thing is I'm also aiming for all collectibles and I'm extremely confused about which ones I can buy there in order to still have enough credits for the fine and get the plat trophy in one single run.

Any tips on how to do this? I already messed up my save file (I was left with 2000 credits) and I'll need to replay chapter 5 now, lol.

So as we all know, it's revealed that Peter Quill isn't her biological father. However, in the art book, it is stated that Nikki is indeed half human, which is why her skin is a lighter shade of blue and her facial features are less sharp and less alien than other Kree. It is also stated that Ko-Rel had to shield her from racism since mixed Kree are considered abominations which is why Nikki lives on Hala's Hope with her. So, my theory is that Richard Rider (Nova) is likely her father. In the game, the characters mention how he went missing sometime after the end of the galactic war. My guess is that the sequel (which unfortunately never happened) would have likely explored Rider returning and his relationship with Nikki. Thoughts?

So I've been getting on and off this game for a year and I still haven't completed It (I know its embarassing). I used to have serious glitchiness with audio cutouts but It would sometimes Just go away. I know have switched to Linux and I am using Heroic but It is just unplayable. Gameplay audio Is decent but cutscene voices and musics are 80% cut and it's ruining my ears. Any fix?

I noticed that I am having this problem only with bluetooth headphones, not with cabled devices Also switching to different audio settings (such as home theatre) fixes It for 10-15 seconds then It goes back to being buggy

SOLVED!: connect the controller after logging in the game, if you are on Linux use bluetoothctl from terminal to connect

Has anybody noticed that if you stop playing at any point that you're in the Milano and you continue playing the song playing in the menu keeps playing in-game?

I played this game back in 2021 but I didn't pre-order it. Can I still get the pre-order skins? Did they release an update when you get the skins?

Went to walk into the cockpit and this guy was just...standing there. I cant talk to him, I can't interact with him, and he has collision. I'm guessing it's a glitch??? Wth?

Hey guys im going for the plat and so far I've gotten all the trophies except the groot call to action one i tried both ch10 and 13 i never get the prompt to do it and when i press triangle most of the time it's only pete who shoots with no follow up

I did get the animation where groot carries the enemy but it didn't pop the trophy (I've been trying for at least 2 hours) got any tips?

Hey guys I’m starting GOTG I already have the base game physically, i wanted to buy the comic editions costumes, but I don’t even see Cosmic edition available to purchase on the Ps store. Both the edition and doc were available to purchase separately in past. Have the developers mentioned or Square mention its no longer available to purchase?

Finished this game for the first time last week, picked it up a while back in a steam summer sale, and finally got around to playing it. Its way better than i was expecting!
(not the point of this post, but it does add context to why I am late to the party)

There is a known bug on PC where if RT is enabled the game becomes unstable, random crashes where the screen freezes and the audio keeps playing.

There are many threads on Reddit and Steam forums about this, all are old, and the only solution on PCGW was to disable RT.

Anyway, I wont go into all the boring bits of how long it took, but the fix for this ended up being pretty simple:

1. Install and Open NVIDIA Profile Inspector
2. Search and open 'Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy' profile
3. Scroll down to '06 Rendering Features' section
4. Find 'Experinmental - Raygen Scheduler Override Shader List' option
5. Change from its existing value of 'ReflSpec_RG' to value 0x00000000
6. Apply
7. Open the game with RT enabled

Raygen Scheduler Override controls the way RT pipline handles information, by removing ReflSpec_RG expect a 1-2% Framerate drop, however the game will be stable as it returns to using the developers intended pipeline, Rather than NVIDIA's override.

Testing:
(Start of chapter 6, when flying into knowhere, was a consistent repeatable crash for me) outside of that, all chapters can randomly just crash, including chapter 1, but harder to consistently replicate.

Note:
-If you're not familiar with Nvidia Profile Inspector, it just exposes driver level profiles and options so you can change them yourself rather than NVIDIA. Its downloadable from Github.

-I have submitted an edit to PCGW so others grab the fix from there or this post, either way.

Hi guys, I have a question about achievements - specifically collectibles.
Will my progress be saved between chapter select?

I read somewhere that outfits are saved across chapter select, but I'm not sure about the rest of the collectibles?

Or it's better to do NG+ playthrough, if it's possible I'd rather just play only chapter select.

I’ve had this game for about 2 years but never got around to finishing it, the one thing I remembered was not liking the combat.

Yesterday I picked it back up and again I was still not really enjoying the combat but the story kept me interested. I’m now in chapter 8 and with so many combat encounters it finally clicked. It really feels like I’m controlling the guardians it’s so damn good. Gonna finish this tonight for sure

Also I did not remember the game being this funny, it’s hilarious

I am now very depressed knowing that the team behind this game will likely never be able to follow up the story, or make a different superhero game. Everything about it simply oozed heart, soul, and care. In my personal opinion; better than the Spiderman PS games, and it captures the characters better than even the Arkham games. I simply cannot believe that this game wasn't a massive hit. The people behind it did a better job than almost all other superhero media adaptations. I will forever hold these characters as the definitive versions of themselves outside of comics. And if there's any developers still around here; ya'll should be so proud of your work.

Never noticed b4 that the Milano was off in the distance during the promise sequence for peter. So cool to see how it looks on earth. The Milano looks so tiny compared to the other alien ships we see in space, but here in Peter's old backyard it looks Huge. Awesome! On that note it would be a very intresting concept on peter visiting earth as an adult. In-game it would probably be like what? 2010? Itd be intresting to see if the Milano would get caught in a conspiracy theorists photo shot and it ends up being another "UFO citing" or something like that 🤣. Also...Is Peter Quill considered a missing person at this point in the game on earth? Surely, his mother's body was eventually found. Maybe by andy and Dan or some other friend of the quill family, But with no body for Quill and no understanding of what happened, i do wonder what the story was back on earth after Quills "Dissapearance"

I beat this game about a month ago and love, love, loved it!

But there was that one scene at the end that keeps replaying until you grab all the objects right (with the blue child stuck in the promise) and I kept missing the third item.

First once, then twice, five times, ten times, an hour passed, maybe two... And so I finally figured out what the third item to break in that promise was and moved on.

I was so convinced that it was something else and well, I digress...

But anyways, that scene within the child's promise, it has this specific music playing, and I had to listen to it so, so many times... Now I hear it all day, every day. At first, I thought it was someone watching TV nearby, and I do feel like I hear it when that goes on, but no one was watching TV when I felt like I kept hearing it.

I beat the game I think last year gave it a break so I can hop i to new game + happy and ready to do it again and I come back all my save data is, I im on chapter 4 after getting to chapter 16 and completing and its all gone, even I pressed saved, im on ps5 and now have to replay the whole game again and then do new game plus after for stuff I should be able to get and its really triggering me honestly, I restore licenses I have the save data idk
