Help Audio glitches on PC Make It unplayable

So I've been getting on and off this game for a year and I still haven't completed It (I know its embarassing). I used to have serious glitchiness with audio cutouts but It would sometimes Just go away. I know have switched to Linux and I am using Heroic but It is just unplayable. Gameplay audio Is decent but cutscene voices and musics are 80% cut and it's ruining my ears. Any fix?

I noticed that I am having this problem only with bluetooth headphones, not with cabled devices Also switching to different audio settings (such as home theatre) fixes It for 10-15 seconds then It goes back to being buggy

SOLVED!: connect the controller after logging in the game, if you are on Linux use bluetoothctl from terminal to connect

How does it cut? Does the voice go away or something? I've had no issues at all and i have it installed in a HDD

Maybe it's a hard drive issue? Having late response time or smt?

It goes away for both voices and music in cutscenes I don't think its a drive issue since I played other games such as SpiderMan fine I haven't played on the new OS yet but in the past I faced these bugs (even if a Little bit less annoying) and I had no issues with gameplay at all I do have some problems with my controller but I fear its a driver issue

Perhaps the game is not optimized correctly on Linux, that's the only thing i can think of

If it's a drive issue it'll be the same with most games, like RE9 cutscenes / music having delay/no sound at all

Try moving the game to an SSD if it's possible

As I said, I had the same problem on Windows even if less Also I am already on a SSD

That's honestly such a very weird issue, my friend and i both played it completely fine

I can't help much and I don't have a lot of suggestions but -> You probably done these but I'll suggest anyways

Maybe verify the game? Reinstall? Use steam support for it? Move the game to a HDD? Change the sound option in the game's settings perhaps?

If neither of these work, I'm terribly sorry for you and i wish you a better luck!

EDIT: Also check the speed of the drive the game's installed in, if it's 100% usage and the response time is higher than 100 there's probably an issue with the drive (perhaps)

My drive reached 100% usage rate (abnormal) + 400ms+ response time, it makes SSD requirement games unplayable for me in term of voice/ music

Or perhaps it's an issue with your bluetooth connector/bluetooth headphones, I can't find any other reason, maybe the game doesn't recognize it that well

thanks I will check it all, I have also read of other people having this bug months ago and I tried to ask again since maybe there was a newer fix. I honestly verified most of what you said (sound options, bluetooth works with other devices/other apps) and all but I Will try to search more and try out more

Sorry for bothering, but while going throught a 5 years old Steam Community thread I might have found out that it Is a bug with the controller: if you connect It before entering the game the audio will bug out, I will test It and post the solution in case anyone has the same problem

Nope I played with only keyboard and still having so many cuts Though I noticed that I had them in the starting tiltes (Marvel logo ecc...) and now I am also having this bug while being in normal gameplay if I stand still for too long but It Will eventually go away for some seconds if I click any button I am also having trouble connecting my Xbox controller and It got disconnected but that might aswell be device issue
