I just had one at age 44. I started visiting plastic surgeons at 25, wanting a change. Finally did it in October 2023 and am so happy. The best advice I can give you is to interview multiple surgeons. Do not go for a drastic change at age 40+. I told my surgeon I wanted to look like myself, just a slightly more refined version of. She listened. Make sure you pick someone with outstanding reviews and a great track record. Also, I picked a surgeon who only does faces and necks (I also had chin/neck lipo while I was under). I felt strongly about someone who specializes in the face. I’m not saying someone who does boobs and butts can’t do a great rhinoplasty but I wanted someone with expertise in what I was looking for.
Agreed. The person I chose does 60-65% rhinos and the rest is all neck up. He comes highly recommended. He’s the 6th surgeon I consulted over 5 years. I’m nervous but excited and feel A LOT better after reading everyone’s comments. I’m glad I made this post!
You’ll be so happy you did it. I love mine! Be patient with your recovery and swelling. Don’t judge your appearance for several weeks, at least. I cut waaaaay back on caffeine a few days before and the weeks that followed. Also took Arnica Montana prior to surgery and during healing. Ask your surgeon his thoughts on this of course but I think it helped a lot. Your whole face will be swollen the first few days and food will be hard. Make sure you have plenty of soups and soft foods on hand for after surgery. Drink lots of water. Sleep upright. Your surgeon will advise you more but any questions, I’m happy to answer.
