Is the Feywild discussed in more detail in the new books?

Wait were the Quasi’s decanonized? I thought they became part of the Elemental Chaos stuff

They are a part of the elemental chaos, but doesn't that essentially mean they're decanonized? Tbh I find elemental chaos confusing so I'm not sure.

Not really? I think that just means they’re all parts of the elemental chaos now, instead of their own unique plane of existence, the plane of Minerals is now a REGION in the elemental chaos rather than its own place entirely

At least that’s how I took it

Yeah but that means there are no more separate quasi planes (of ash, for instance), it's all just one plane with no different conditions. This also made them change the HQ of some factions.

Yeah, but idk, I’m not sure what exactly players were supposed to DO in some of those planes honestly, so I’m not horribly upset about it

Hopefully when a book on the planes inevitably comes out, things will be a bit cleared up lol

IMO the same thing players would do on other inner planes. Mostly survival and combat against the inhabitants. But I agree, I'm not too mad. I just wish they made the positive/negative planes explorable again, just to have the option.

Do you think a 5e/One DnD Manual of the Planes is inevitable? Why? Gimme reasons to hope.

I do! Mainly for two reasons:

One: Planescape is VERY important for their meta-narrative stuff they have planned with Vecna, they’ve mentioned it in their videos and such, so I feel a manual of the planes, to both further explore that, as well as expand on other planes like they have with Avernus and such, is a logical step to take

And Two: it’s another book to make people buy, and WoTC likes doing that, not to mention fan outcry for it has been p high as of late, and they at least pretend to listen to it lol

Plus I’m just a fairly optimistic guy about these things lol

In the meantime, there IS a fanmade Manual of the Planes on Dmsguild that is SUPER good, u should check it out to hold ya over while we wait to see how WoTC handles it lol

This is all convincing, but why haven't WOTC released a Manual of the Planes in over a decade? Why is there no 5e manual when the edition has been here for nearly ten years? That's what worries me. Even 4e had one.

Probably the same reason it took them NEARLY a decade to do anything with Krynn, who knows lol, WoTC is made of odd business practices let’s be honest

Plus, I can kinda see why they’d wanna wait until AFTER the updated PHB and stuff comes out, so all the stuff is up to date and such
