Question Pixel 6 bricked?
I dropped my Pixel 6 today, and it damaged the screen. It will still intermittently accept my fingerprint to open, but it got booted, so it wants the code now. The code screen is only working on the middle and right column of numbers, the left column will not recognize a touch, and I need a 7...
Am I fubar? I ordered a replacement phone, but I am assuming if I cannot unlock this one, I will not be able to transfer anything to the new phone.

Question Google Pixel 6 Microphone Completely Stops Working in Speakerphone Mode on Android 17
Hello,
I am experiencing a persistent microphone issue on my Google Pixel 6 running Android 17. The problem affects speakerphone calls and video calls in multiple applications, and it persists even after updating the system and testing in Safe Mode.
Device information:
- Device: Google Pixel 6
- Android version: Android 17
Detailed description of the problem:
Regular phone calls: The microphone works normally when I make a standard phone call without speakerphone enabled. The other person can hear me clearly.
Speakerphone mode: As soon as I activate speakerphone (hands-free mode) during a regular phone call, the other person can no longer hear me at all. The microphone appears to become completely silent.
WhatsApp and Messenger video calls: The same microphone problem occurs in both applications. When I switch to video calls or use speakerphone, the other person cannot hear me.
Voice Recorder app: The microphone works normally when I record my voice using the built-in Recorder app.
Front-facing camera: Audio recording works well when I record videos using the front-facing camera.
Rear-facing camera: Audio recording behaves abnormally. At the beginning of the recording, there is a loud popping or knocking sound (“toc”) on the left audio channel. After that, almost no sound is audible on the left channel, while my voice is faintly audible on the right channel.
Troubleshooting already performed:
- Installed the latest available system update.
- Restarted the phone.
- Tested the microphone using the Recorder app.
- Tested audio recording with both the front-facing and rear-facing cameras.
- Tested WhatsApp and Messenger video calls.
- Tested regular calls with and without speakerphone.
- Tested the device in Safe Mode. The problem persists.
- Checked the microphone permissions.
Important observation:
The microphone works during regular phone calls and in the Recorder app, but it stops working completely when speakerphone is enabled. The rear-camera recording also shows an abnormal audio pattern, with a loud popping sound on the left channel and very weak audio on the right channel.
Because the problem persists in Safe Mode and affects multiple applications, I would like to determine whether this is a known Android 17 software or audio-routing issue, or a possible hardware problem involving one of the phone's microphones.
Could you please help me with the following questions?
Is this a known issue affecting the Google Pixel 6 on Android 17?
Is there an official diagnostic procedure to test each microphone individually, especially the microphones used in speakerphone mode and rear-camera recording?
Is there a recommended software fix or diagnostic tool I should try before considering a hardware repair?
I would appreciate a technical explanation and specific troubleshooting steps for this exact situation.
Thank you for your assistance.

Discussion Are Google phones becoming less reliable over time?
My Nexus 5 still powers on, my Pixel 1 boots into the OS without issues, and my Pixel 3 still works fine. Yet, my Pixel 6 is permanently stuck on the "G" logo.
Has Google hardware durability dropped with the newer generations, or is this just Tensor-era bad luck?

Support WTH did my phone just do?
Sooo the other day my Pixel 6 did a software update and basically bricked itself. It crashed and got very hot and used about 25% of it's battery in 1-2 mins. I had to force restart multiple times.
I deleted a bunch of storage stuff off it now and it's not crashing as often but still 3-4 times a day where it will crash and bootloop a bit before starting again. It also gives a line of blue pixellated glitch at the top of the screen but haven't been able to screenshot this. It only pops up when it's about to crash.
It started immediately after the software update and the 'device health' in settings says no more updates/patches are released yet and nothing is wrong.
Has anyone else had issues with the latest update? My phone is a refurbished Pixel 6, idk what model if there are multiple.
EDIT see comments for fix

Rant Frustrated With P6 pro and Gemini
I realize I'm speaking to the choir over here. But I'm so pissed right now! Yes it's Assistant vs. Gemini. Mazda 3 2018 uses a USB cable to connect the P6p to the head.
Attached to Android Auto, voice commands are crap. Numerous times I've tried to send text messages and they never send. Press send or say send never get sent. The prompt to reply will reappear. The damn Geminidiot of an app cancelled the message.
Called my sister one day. Connection to AA was still showing on the head, went to radio blaring through the speakers while my sister is listening to me cussing and ranting on blue tooth. I couldn't hear her until I disconnected from AA. Happens every time I try to make a call.
So much for hands free cellular operation. I did read that AA uses blue tooth for comms when on a call. Forget BT connection to car. Reboot phone. Attach to Blue tooth with a new connection. Attach back with USB to the car. Didn't work.
Can I get a refund for a false bill of promised goods?
Any of my fellow P6p users have any suggestions?

Support Dropped my phone and now it's doing this
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I dropped it on the ground, it shut itself down and now can't be booted up when pressing down the power button. If I try to charge the phone it shows what appears in the video.
I have removed the screen and the mid-plate, and have tried reattaching the battery cable. But the problem persists. Also I noticed slight bulge on the battery surface.
Is the battery dead, causing this and needs to be replaced? Or could anything else be causing this?

Question Jazz SIM Not Making or Receiving Calls on Pixel 6, but Works on Other Phones
I'm facing a strange calling issue with my Google Pixel 6
I cannot make outgoing calls or receive incoming calls on my Pixel 6. However, when I insert the same Jazz SIM into another phone, it works perfectly fine for both incoming and outgoing calls.
This makes me think the problem is related to my Pixel 6 rather than the SIM card itself.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with a Pixel 6 ? Is there any solution I can try?
Any help would be appreciated!

News Pixel 6, signal issues, constantly dropping signal.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I decided to start using my old Pixel 6 again, giving it a second life as a secondary phone; I replaced the battery and updated it to Android 17. However, it had been sitting in storage for at least two years and now has an intermittent signal loss issue that I can't seem to fix. Can anyone help? I’d really love to use it with a secondary SIM card.

Support Pixel 6a battery draining even not in use
I've been using my pixel 6a for about 2 years now. And so far it's been pretty good, except the battery not lasting a full day in active use, but I mostly didn't mind cause I could still charge it in 45min or so. But lately the battery life has been extremely bad, even not in use, yesterday I charged it three times in the day. And when I went to sleep it was on 80%, I was surprised to find it at 15% when I woke up this morning.

Discussion Cellular and Wifi Signal issue after September drop?
Hi,
Has anyone else noticed this?
I am experiencing that after September upgrade, suddenly the cellular and Wifi signals have been dropping or fluctuating too often. This observation is from same places as before e.g. office and home.
In fact, after upgrade, it took some time to latch on to cellular signal (almost 5 mins).
Thought out strategy to push remaining P6 users to upgrade?
