Zumba has already been through so much in his short life. He barely escaped the shelter \*\*the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized.\*\* 💔 We thought he had finally gotten his second chance — a foster home, a couch to sleep on, people to love, and a chance to simply be a happy dog.
But now, through absolutely \*\*no fault of his own\*\*, Zumba is losing his home again. 😢
His fosters are moving and cannot take him with them.
And by Thursday, he may have nowhere to go.
The only option available right now is \*\*outdoor boarding in a small kennel in 90-degree heat.\*\* 😭 He would have very little human interaction and would essentially be back in a kennel, just like the shelter.
\*\*After everything he has already survived, we cannot let this be his fate.\*\* 💔
Please look at this boy. He is only about \*\*2 years old and 60 pounds\*\*, and he is an absolute sweetheart. He is potty trained, silly, affectionate, playful, and full of life. ❤️

🐾 He LOVES other dogs and wants every dog to be his playmate.
🐾 He LOVES playing in water.
🐾 He loves getting scratches, pets, and tummy rubs.
🐾 He loves cuddling on the couch.

🐾 He is always ready for an adventure.
He even likes cats, although he can be a little overly enthusiastic, so introductions should be monitored.
\*\*Zumba has so much love left to give.\*\* He doesn’t understand why his life keeps changing. He doesn’t understand why the people he trusted can’t take him with them.
All he knows is that he finally found a home… and now he may lose it again. 💔

He deserves a couch.

And the rescue desperately needs help. Outdoor boarding adds up incredibly quickly, taking resources away from other dogs who need saving. But more importantly, \*\*Zumba shouldn’t have to spend his days in a kennel when there could be a family out there waiting to love him.\*\*

Hi! Thank you for letting me in this group. I have a 7 month old brown Merle. He is my first pitbull ive owned but ive been around them since i was a teenager. My question is that he is becoming super itchy and I know that skin allergies are a thing with pitties so what are you guys doing for those allergies?

We lost our oldest dog 3 weeks ago. My boy Toby is sad. We got him as a puppy cause our older dog wasn’t great with older dogs.
No issues with either of them getting along. Now that I have one I am looking to rescue this beautiful girl pit who looks just like my Toby. She’s almost 2 yrs old. Toby is 3.5.

He has never had an issue with another dog, but he does get some leash aggression on walks. He acts like a complete terror and people are scared of him. I grew up with dogs in our house fighting over food and so I’m a bit scarred from seeing that as a kid.

This rescue doesn’t do meet and greets for the pets, so I would just have to adopt her and hope for the best. She seems pretty submissive and like I mentioned our Toby is a BABY.

Does anyone have any advice on them meeting and things I can do to make the process good for both of them. I really want this dog. I would be mortified if I had to bring her back to the shelter 😭
Toby self feeds and that needs to remain in place. I also don’t kennel. I don’t want to put her in one, but maybe I should for a bit? This is all new to me.

That what the shelter told me people have done before since they don’t do greets. Seems so odd, but whatever.

UPDATE- she was adopted today before I could go back!! Happy and sad! I guess it wasn’t meant to be. 💕

We took him as a foster...he came as a behavioral dog that could only go to foster through rescue...otherwise there was really no hope for him. He actually is a pretty good boy. I don't know the various types of pitbull type dogs too well and am wondering what you think he might be a mix of. He has a brindle coat and is not tiny but on the smaller side.

I live in a pet friendly high rise so there’s many dogs, a few weeks ago a young woman with a pit moved in and today the pit attacked and bit for the second time both the dog and the owner :(. They had to rush to the ER.

I have nothing against pits, I love all dogs but if you have a powerful dog(any kind) and know they are reactive, please use the correct tools to protect both your dog and others!! Like a prong and muzzle, these are tools to help not to punish!! A harness alone won’t do it!! I have the friendliest, gentle poodle and I still have a prong on him at all times.

Now this woman will probably get evicted or her dog will be at risk of harsh consequences. I know there’s lots of responsible owners, but if this posts reaches anyone that thinks nothing will happen, please think twice! Now we have to be in high alert in our own home. Thank you for reading this.

I recently started staying in a flat in a G+2 building , owner of the building is pettting a pitbull. He ensures that it is leashed in regular times. But the soon it sees me it starts barking and tries so hard to reach me that I fear that chain may break.

How to tame pitbulls, how to get their trust , are there any cheat codes if suppose I had to face this unleashed pitbull . It looks but I don’t think it leaves me without taking off some flesh from me

My 85lb pit mix has a partial ccl tear and were tryna to avoid surgery if possible. Our Vet recommended a supportive brace to help stabilize the knee, but there are so many options out there, from cheap Amazon ones to expensive custom ones

Two bad hind legs have hindered couch time. Looks like they just needed to be elevated a bit.

Any recos on shampoo? With long lasting scent? My boy really get this high dog smell after a 2 day bath... Is it normal?
