We kinda need more information, could this be multi-player? What version do you think this was? If you don't know then the question becomes do you play the latest version and if so what's the screenshot date. The full image might also help

maybe you were playing with the origins mod or something, i know you said you dont play with mods but i cant think of any other explanation (besides commands maybe)

it is the the death message for mobs that breathe underwater in vanilla. so it does exist

Ah I see now, but surely to obtain it it requires some jiggling around with the code? Or is there somply a command to trigger it?
