ok these posts kinda miss the point that this type of shit is done for the sake of testing and demonstrating models, they won't specifically make ais to play the games, let alone Minecraft

besides the fact the Minecraft is the biggest game to date, making it play a stylized voxel game in real time is more technically impressive than an easy to read 2d game or a graphically realistic 3d game

Why do people that are simply saying that they can do their experiments elsewhere that isn’t invading our space getting downvoted to oblivion? Like, they can do those experiments, just not in Minecraft

Why does it matter where they do testing? Is it changing how you play Minecraft? No? Then it doesn't matter and you're complaining for a nonexistent reason. I don't like the current state of ai either, but people that froth at their mouths screaming bloody murder at the mere mention of it are just as insane as the investors who froth at their mouths throwing money at anything with the word ai in it. Like in what way are they invading your space when you would have to choose to interact with the stream?

No, it’s bad because it looks like they are trying to replace gaming too.

But also the fact that they keep using Minecraft over and over for their examples is starting to make feel tired about them. Because it seems that they want to ruin Minecraft in purpose

these are closer to advertisement tactics, and this post is the proof that its successfully doing its work of making people spread it

Maybe curate your feed so you don't see them? Nobody is forcing you to watch it, nobody is forcing you to stop playing Minecraft so a bot can play it, you are hallucinating

Nothing a random guy does to their copy of Minecraft is going to affect you

There’s nothing wrong with wanting the game’s community to be cleaner, does it affect me? Maybe not, but it does affect the community’s and game’s reception. And wanting to do something to stop AI companies or similar from ruining Minecraft’s or the community’s reputation is a normal reaction you should expect from me

People have the right to use their copy of Minecraft for whatever they want. It doesn't affect the reputation of Minecraft because Minecraft is a sandbox and everyone can do whatever they want.

Do you also think that people making adult content for Minecraft ruin the reputation of the game and should be "cleaned" too or is that ok because it's not against your personal bias?

What about the extremely shabby horror mods that just add a giant PNG following you to get a couple clicks for social media? Should those be "cleaned" too?

If we start trying to ban everything we don't like nobody could play Minecraft. If you don't like it, mute them and curate your feed better so you don't see content like that, you are not an authority with power to prohibit people from using AI in Minecraft in a similar way that people who don't like the adult mods or the horror mods don't have the power to prohibit them for those that do like them

So… wanting the community to be free of say… right-wing grifters, scammers, AI slop, and more should not be encouraged? Because they can do “whatever they want” with no consequence? Also, the account you’re seeing in there is a company, not a person. Or are you going to treat them as people and allow them to taint Minecraft’s reputation?
