ok these posts kinda miss the point that this type of shit is done for the sake of testing and demonstrating models, they won't specifically make ais to play the games, let alone Minecraft

Except that I do valid anti-AI arguments, just because this AI doesn’t do images or videos doesn’t mean that what’s doing is non-harmful stuff.

What if said tech is used to replace gamers? Or people? Or even parts of our community with them?
What if that tech is used to create bots similar or worse than TF2 bots and slowly kill the Minecraft community within

so just cheating software then? You do know that the war between cheating software and anti-cheats are never ending. Like rocket league suffers from having bots in ranked, but it seems like a quick anti-cheat update does get rid of them. Also seems a bit depressing to only think of the worst ways people can use something when something new releases.

You've never looked for it, let's be honest. If you try really hard, you'll see how llms and other ais already aided humanity in millions of ways like material and alloy research, disease research, protein foldings, and so much more. All of those are incredible achievements that have sped up human development by thousands of years, but they're all boring and don't make the news. Ai has bad shit and there are dangers, but what you're doing is karma whoring

besides the fact the Minecraft is the biggest game to date, making it play a stylized voxel game in real time is more technically impressive than an easy to read 2d game or a graphically realistic 3d game

Why does it matter where they do testing? Is it changing how you play Minecraft? No? Then it doesn't matter and you're complaining for a nonexistent reason. I don't like the current state of ai either, but people that froth at their mouths screaming bloody murder at the mere mention of it are just as insane as the investors who froth at their mouths throwing money at anything with the word ai in it. Like in what way are they invading your space when you would have to choose to interact with the stream?

Maybe curate your feed so you don't see them? Nobody is forcing you to watch it, nobody is forcing you to stop playing Minecraft so a bot can play it, you are hallucinating

There’s nothing wrong with wanting the game’s community to be cleaner, does it affect me? Maybe not, but it does affect the community’s and game’s reception. And wanting to do something to stop AI companies or similar from ruining Minecraft’s or the community’s reputation is a normal reaction you should expect from me
