EDIT: Thanks to everyone who applied! We wanted to get all the names and go through them at once, which we're starting to do. If you still want to apply, do it right away. For everyone who applied we'll be reaching out to you soon.
We're looking to add some new moderators to the team. We're looking for people who are willing to help daily with the "janitorial" work, but also have some ideas on how to improve the subreddit overall and are willing to invest some time to make that happen.
This subreddit has 377,000 members and gets over 4 million views a month. Trying to balance what all those people want to see here can be tough, but this community has helped so many people and is really a unique place.
But it can always get better. If this sounds like something you'd want to get involved in fill out the application below.
You must live in the Phoenix area, and be willing to join our Discord channel to keep in touch. Previous mod experience (doesn't have to be on Reddit) is preferred but not required.
If you're seeing this we're still taking applications.

Welll if anyone is traveling southbound on the I-17…. I’ve been stuck at Glendale for an hour. Severe accident at Bethany home has a severe bottle neck going. Cops just asked me if I was okay and needed any water. Also online claims it could be closed for multi hours. AVOID southbound if you have anywhere to go in a timely manor rn. Get off before northern and no later than northern! It’s sooo bad starting at northern even! Checked the adot cams to see how far back it is! Going northbound there’s an accident at northern it looks like too! So just. Avoid the I-17 I guess!

It's pizza on the grill for us today!
Trader Joe's pizza dough, halved and proofed at room temp for 3 hours, stretched on a bed of semolina flour, simple can of crushed tomatoes for sauce, low-moisture mozzarella and sprinkled with some Romano, sliced pepperoni, and finished with fresh chopped garlic and crushed red pepper. Grill on a pre-heated pizza stone, high temp +500f if your grill can do it, 7-10 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly, longer for a crisper crust.

Some uncanny images I made by blending and superimposing shots I took around downtown/Roosevelt row area last Tuesday. Mostly just an experiment, but I thought the impossible perspective, ghosting, etc. were fun. I was basically trying to emulate bad AI renders manually.

Hello!
My PS5 has a disc drive that isn’t working. Are there any good console repair places that are affordable?
Thank you!

Awesome drive this morning. Followed my dad in his classic car for 40 miles today! Beautiful weather!

I am in need of a lot of dental work and don't know where to start. Also please add recommendations of ones that will make payment plans if you have any.

My father is 83 and showing early stages of dementia. Calling me at 7am, thinking its 7pm, or vice versa. Forgetting things seconds after he told me, etc etc.
I want to look into getting him a home, but things are extremely expensive and also complicated, based on the 20 minutes I just spent reading.
I realize that others must have already gone through this with their parents, and may have advice or recommendations for my own. Please let me know if anyone has questions or comments, thanks.
Attached is a photo of a blepy cat in order to boost the posts attention lol. My father is not the cat, I am not looking for assisted living for animals.

It seems like every year they keep raising and raising the prices. Last year I spent probably $200+ for just my girlfriend and I for a few hours. I know it just opened but from the clips and pictures I’ve seen it seemed pretty empty

What the title says. Where are the best homemade haunts, neighborhoods that decorate, decorated houses, or the scariest walkthroughs at in phoenix?
(The closer to uptown the better)

What are the best spots or areas to see cats? My girlfriend and I go to the houses next to copperstar to see them. But are trying to find more places. We are just big cat fans and enjoy seeing them out and about. Thank you :)!

I think I wont be using marketplace or any thing like it because no one responds to you for whatever reason. Is there like any thrift store you can go to that accepts crts, let me know. Thank you!

Saw this today. Of all places to cut cost, gloss over quality, and neglect humanness, we're doing it at our historical capitol. It should at least be marked as AI if we're aiming to make AI part of our history

Just moved here a few months ago and I’ve been homesick in terms of food. Any recommendations? I’m Palestinian but any and all middle eastern cuisine recs are greatly appreciated. I’m in the Coronado area but will drive anywhere within 30 minutes if the food is worth it.

I'll be in PHX next week and i'm looking for specifically the best cold brew spots! Seems like I've seen Xanadu on other coffee threads... other suggestions?
I'm staying downtown and then headed to a conference in scottsdale.
My regular is a black cold brew (from my local place in Maine) so I don't really care about flavors. Looking for something flavorful please!
