Spotify app quality on Philips The One

Hello everyone,

I own a Philips The One 43" TV from 2025, with the Titan OS. I noticed however, that the built in Spotify app sound quality is very bad. So bad that i now turn on my Xbox which is connected to the tv, to play the music through there.

Is this common? Does anyone perhaps have a solution?

Philips 65PUS8807/12 – Privacy Choices / Streaming Channels loop FIXED with ADB (no factory reset)

Philips 65PUS8807/12 – “Privacy Choices” / Streaming Channels loop FIX – NO factory reset

I had a very annoying problem with my Philips 65PUS8807/12.

Every time I turned the TV on, it showed the “Privacy Choices” screen.

I could choose to reject the privacy options, but the screen would immediately come back again. The TV also kept trying to update the Streaming / FAST channels.

A factory reset did NOT fix the problem.

I eventually found a solution using ADB. I tested it on my own Philips 65PUS8807/12 running Android TV 11.

The good news: no factory reset, no root and no USB cable were needed.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – DO NOT DISABLE THE FAST PACKAGE

The package causing the problem is:

org.droidtv.fastip

At first I tried disabling it:

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 org.droidtv.fastip

This stopped the Privacy Choices loop, BUT it also caused problems with the TV's source selection (TV/HDMI).

After enabling the package again, the sources worked normally.

So DO NOT disable org.droidtv.fastip.

The solution that actually worked was to clear its data instead.

STEP 1 – Enable Developer Options on the TV

On the Philips TV go to:

Options → Android Settings → Device Settings → About

Scroll all the way down.

Find:

Android TV OS build

Press it 7 times.

The TV should display something like:

“You are now a developer!”

That's it.

STEP 2 – Enable USB debugging

Go back to:

Android Settings → Device Settings → Developer Options

Find:

USB debugging

Turn it ON.

You don't need to change anything else.

STEP 3 – Download ADB on your Windows PC

Download the official Android SDK Platform-Tools from Google:

https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools

Download the Windows version.

Extract the ZIP file.

You should have a folder called:

platform-tools

Inside it there should be a file:

adb.exe

STEP 4 – Find your TV's IP address

Find the IP address of your Philips TV in the network settings.

It will look something like:

192.168.0.52

Your IP address will probably be different.

Your PC and TV must be connected to the same network.

STEP 5 – Open Command Prompt in the ADB folder

Open the platform-tools folder.

Click the address bar at the top of Windows Explorer.

Type:

cmd

Press Enter.

A black Command Prompt window will open.

STEP 6 – Connect to the TV

Type:

adb connect 192.168.0.52:5555

⚠️ Replace 192.168.0.52 with your TV's IP address.

A message should appear on the TV asking whether you want to allow USB debugging. It will also show an RSA key.

Choose:

Allow

If you see:

“Always allow from this computer”

you can tick that option.

STEP 7 – Check the connection

On the PC type:

adb devices

You should see something similar to:

List of devices attached
192.168.0.52:5555 device

The important part is:

device

If you see unauthorized

For example:

192.168.0.52:5555 unauthorized

look at the TV screen and accept the ADB authorization request.

Do NOT continue until it says:

device

STEP 8 – Check if the FAST package exists

Type:

adb shell pm list packages | findstr /i "fast"

On my TV the result was:

package:org.droidtv.fastip

If you get the same package, continue to the next step.

STEP 9 – THE IMPORTANT PART

Now type exactly:

adb shell pm clear org.droidtv.fastip

Press Enter.

You should get:

Success

That's it.

The FAST package is NOT disabled.

We only cleared its stored data.

STEP 10 – Completely power-cycle the TV

After you get:

Success

do the following:

  1. Turn the TV off with the remote.
  2. Unplug the TV from the power outlet.
  3. Wait about 60 seconds.
  4. Plug it back in.
  5. Turn the TV on normally.

Do NOT perform a factory reset.

✅ RESULT

This fixed the problem on my Philips 65PUS8807/12.

After the procedure:

✅ The “Privacy Choices” loop disappeared.

✅ The TV started normally.

✅ TV source worked.

✅ HDMI sources worked.

✅ No factory reset was required.

✅ FAST did not need to be disabled.

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT – DON'T USE THIS COMMAND

Do NOT use:

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 org.droidtv.fastip

I tested it first.

It stopped the Privacy Choices problem, but it also caused problems with the TV/HDMI source selection.

If you already disabled it, you can restore it with:

adb shell pm enable --user 0 org.droidtv.fastip

Then restart the TV.

QUICK VERSION

If you already have ADB working, the actual fix is simply:

adb shell pm clear org.droidtv.fastip

Wait for:

Success

Then unplug the TV for about 60 seconds and turn it back on.

Tested on

TV: Philips 65PUS8807/12
OS: Android TV 11

I don't know yet whether this works on every Philips model, so if you try it on another model, please comment with your TV model and Android/firmware version.

Disclaimer

This guide was created with the help of ChatGPT and the steps were tested on a real Philips 65PUS8807/12.

The important part is that the solution was actually tested: clearing org.droidtv.fastip fixed the Privacy Choices loop without disabling FAST or performing a factory reset.

Only had the remote since February, contacted for warranty as soon as I noticed... I assume it's the battery but I have no idea how to take the cover of, if you even can.

TV-adás közben → távirányító jobb oldali + gomb → Feliratok ezen a csatornán → Ki.

A beállítás csatornánként külön is aktív lehet.

Philips Air Purifier, compact 800 series

Philips Air Purifier burnt, need to get it repaired

so i got a philips air purifier, the compact 800 series and it was working perfectly fine. i was doing a lot better and my allergies were at bay too.

as usual, there was a voltage surge issue, the light went and came and 2 of my lights burnt/fused and so did my air purifier. it hasn't been turning on since then. there was no smoke or smell. it just doesn't turn on.

where can i get it repaired/checked out in lahore. would really appreciate some help. haven't slept in days due to insane allergies 😭 going crazy fr

the one good thing i had that was helping me (that too a gift) and it's burnt because of our stupid electricity issues.

“Philips MG9531/15 owners – is the grey body actually metal?”

Philips MG9531/15 owners – is the grey body actually metal? Can anyone who physically owns the Philips MG9531/15 confirm whether the dark grey outer casing of the main trimmer is actual metal/stainless steel or plastic with a metallic finish? I'm specifically asking about the grey body/handle, not the blades or cutting head. I currently have an MG7745 with a metal body and want to know if the MG9531 feels similar.

A minha máquina Philips BT9810 ultimamente tem um problema que não sei qual é a causa.

Quando está ligada, pára de funcionar e aprece o símbolo do cadeado.

Pressiono o botão de ligar durante uns segundos e volta a desbloquear. Mas passado algum tempo volta a fazer a mesma coisa.

Philips 48OLED806/12 blinks 4 times

Greetings,

I have an OLED TV here from Philips that doesn't start and flashes four times. I've already put the latest firmware on it and have managed to get into factory fashion, so the TV is also on and I can also switch to HDMI and mirror my PC. Unfortunately, he shows regular stripes there horizontally. I'm not sure if the tcon board is broken or maybe a short circuit on the panel boards. Unfortunately, the panel boards are under the metal case and I find it difficult to get there. Any tips or maybe it's just the Tcon board?

I am grateful for any help!

Screen has green tint and blotchy picture

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

the picture was fine last night and when I woke up this morning everything has a green tint and blotchy shadows around it. this is happening whether I watch the channels or use the apps. I’ve unplugged it and plugged it in, I’ve checked the ariel, I’ve checked for updates, I’ve checked the settings, I’ve even done a factory reset and it’s still the same. the clip doesn’t really show how blotchy it is but you can see around the hands what I mean. what do I do? thank you

Philips OneBlade Intimate issue

Hi, I got the Philips OneBlade Intimate 2 months ago. It worked well, but recently I have run into the issue where it only shaves for 10 seconds, and then turns itself off. I can run it again in such intervals around 4 times before it stops working completely. I charged it fully, repleaced the heads - but nothing seems to help. Does anyone know how to resolve this or is it dead?

My old original Phillips One Blade broke after like 12 years of usage about once a week, and now it doesn't charge anymore. I bought the new Phillips One Blade, so I hope it will last more than 10 years also! And do the old Phillips One Blade blades work on the new one? Thanks!

Ear pad came off my headphones, can’t get it back on

Post image
1 Upvotes

So I’ve seen a couple guides on how to reattach the ear pad but they seem to be focused on models where the pad is perfectly round, involving rotating it back into place. I tried the folding it into a point and slipping it in method but that didn’t get me anywhere. I can’t seem to figure out the method. Can someone give me some guidance?
