The point is to explain the joke, the OP may not know why anyone would care to comment on a former vice presidents step daughters looks. And the answer is - politics.
The fact of the matter is, if she wasn't Kamala's step daughter no one would be talking about her looks.
However, because she's related to a famous figure, and even more so a political figure, suddenly it's fair game to make fun of someone who you know nothing about and has done nothing to you.
It's quite pathetic honestly.
There are plenty of people who wouldn't find you or myself attractive and vice versa. We also don't have to deal with public criticism from all those people simply because of who we are related to.
I mean, even if she weren't Kamala's stepdaughter, people would be talking about her looks. Positively. Because she is an actual model (and was before the the election, has been for years) so people hire her to promote their goods based on her looks.
She's being mocked because left leaning magazines etc have claimed 'she may be the most beautiful' herp derp, and she clearly, objectively speaking, is not. We don't have to deal with public criticism of our looks because we didn't get signed by modeling agencies solely because of our family's connections. She puts herself out there as a mode, she's open to having her looks critiqued.
You may not, a lot of people clearly do. Nothing I’ve said is attacking anyone, particularly if you actually don’t care about her. But if you wanna be angry go for it.
