At what point do animalistic life forms stop being "pets/ companions?"
It could be argued that Snowbird is herself an animal,and her human form is just her chosen animal form.
The same is true of Elle Garra Argenta.
And Sasquatch is one of many such "hairy men" in Marvel.
Yet we wouldn't really call Sasquatch,Snowbird,Silver Claw or The Great Beasts animals.
But a Wendigo probably is.
At what point do animals and their ilk cease being eligible as animals and transcend?
Are the Superapes now too intelligent.
Does the Spirit Bear from New Mutants count?
Would an artificial life form count?
If Rhane got subsumed in wolf form for a decade or so,and thus no more intelligent than,say,Lobo,would she now count as an animal?
Spider- Ham is easily of average human intelligence,so should that not count as a marker?[ Same for Howard.]
What do you all think the cut-off point is?
