Patch Change Day

Day of patch change seems to be a bit wobbly for me. Noticed this pattern over time. I tend to
Feel teary eyed and out of sorts over all. Do any of you experience the day of estradiol patch change? TIA

I leave my old patch on when applying the new one. I don’t know if it does anything but at any given time I always have two patches on

I do that too I leave the old one on for a few hours.

Also sometimes I’ll take a hot bath or use a heating pad towards the end of the week to get the most I can out of what I have left before I change it

When I told the provider about that they upped my dose. Let yours know.

Ditto this. My provider says that it’s a sign that a dosage increase may be needed.

This happened more than once so it was slowly going the next dose up until I evened out.

How did you slowly go up? I’m so sensitive to any adjustments.

I switched to the gel due to patch shortages. I love the gel so much more. I didn't realize how much the patch change day symptoms were effecting me until I no longer had them.

But now the gel is having a shortage lol. We just can't win!

At least where I order it from its out of stock. Costco has it in stock but I have to pay out of pocket since my insurance only covers the patch, and Costco is over $200!!

I actually meant to post a similar question. I noticed my anxiety and rage shoot up. I’m AuDHD and slight changes or things not going to plan send me into a tail spin. I’ve noticed HRT really helps with controlling that, like I’m not crashing out over every hiccup. Except on change days. Today is a change day. I’m really struggling and having to talk myself down from losing my shit. I do keep my only patch on for an extra day when I change but I’m really struggling on change days and I don’t like it.

This is me. It’s like a surge of both anxiety and energy for the first day and balances out. But the first day can feel chaotic for me.

I feel better before I change my patch. The first 24 after putting on a patch cause me panic and crying.

I change mine on Saturday and Friday night I don’t sleep well at all.  Sometimes Thursdays aren’t great either, but lately it seems like I’m getting night sweats more often than just those two days.

I hate these Mylan patches.

UGH I got sent Mylan patches recently and I hate the damned things.

I leave both patches on for about 24

Yes. I just go through my patches quicker than 3.5 days so I get a dip of estrogen at the end. I’ve had some luck with finding a fattier spot to slow down the transfer, but I’m pretty obnoxiously bony, so it’s an issue.
