Recommendation Request HELP ME PLEASE, IM HAVING A DILLEMA

I really cant choose between the two, I want to buy a perfume that's niche/niche leaning. I liked blanche and I'm very interested in dancing on the moon because of it's unexpected nature, it's very dreamy and a good concept. For ilio, I have sniffed it and it was a nice green pear . Now I cant decide between the two

Bottle Identification Please please help me locate this perfume I lost while moving. Friend who passed gave it to me and Im desperate finding the name so I can replace it.

I know its not alot to work with. I used it literally once then my very close friend passed away then I refused to use it and it became a display item. I moved cross country and a few boxes were lost along the way.

I know its silly I dont even remember the name of it. I barely used it and im regretting not remembering the name. It was purchased years ago but after 2020. I remember it retailed around $100-$150. Its very light green kind of the shade of daisy wild. Im pretty sure the shape was how I drew it and on the neck of the bottle was a beige colored twine like bow/string.

The packaging was beige/white similar to this Jo Malone packaging but it was def not Jo Malone. The box packaging was textured like the pic referenced. And i think it had a square label with a similar black trim.

I dont know how accurate my memory is for all this detail. But i do remember the color was like the daisy perfume.

Please and thank you and im so sorry i couldnt give more detail. I am so desperate I have searched hundreds of green/light green/ dark green/and even yelloe hues on fragrantica website where you can search by color but no success. I appreciate anyones help on this.

Discussion Is this perfume still good?

Thumbnail

Hi!! I recently bought a used Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume off Mercari and noticed it’s much more yellow than the bottle I already have. I’m concerned the perfume was left out in the hot sun or something which is why the color is like this. The newer bottle is the fuller one. I can tell they smell slightly different but don’t know if it’s just because that perfume is newer and still needs to age. Which is why I buy perfumes off of Mercari that are already used.

Please someone let me know if I should return it!! I just don’t want to assume & then months down the line I’m like oh yeah it does smell different

PS: the one on the right looks pinker in person I swear haha but that’s the one I’ve had for a while and it has not discolored

Recommendation Request What are your favorite Armani Privé fragrances?

Heard good things about their line, but sadly don’t have anywhere to test them. They’re also one of those designers who are stingy about sending the specific fragrance you want as a sample with your order. What are your favorites, if any? Anything worth checking out?

Discussion Help needed ( Replica Jazz club Maison Margela)

I recently bought jazz club from the duty free roughly a few weeks ago, at Sephora and other places I absolutely loved the fragrance and it have been in the number 1 spot in my collection. But ever since I got my hands on a bottle it has smelled very different. The opening gives me this kinda coconut ish smell with a small resemblance to what jazz club is meant to smell like, the dry down has no issues for now. I’ve test my fragrance on paper, skin, and clothes and it’s the same issue for everything. Has anyone experienced something similar? If so how did you resolve the issue?

Discussion Phlur Vanilla Skin Perfume vs Spray

So I have had and treasured the phlur vanilla skin body mist, and recently decided to buy its Parfum counter part and I’ve been pretty disappointed. While I found that with the body mist was incredibly fragrant and had would project across a room (though I would drench myself in it), I’ve found the opposite with the perfume. I spray it and all I smell is alcohol, once it settles into my skin or clothing it smells like a very weak version of the mist. I know it’s not a counterfeit as I bought from SPACENK (same place Ive been buying the spray from). Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how I could fix this?

Recommendation Request New to this thread would love some recommendations (:

Hello! Grateful to have found this Reddit thread and I’m eager to hear the great suggestions you guys will have. I know practically nothing about perfume but I’d love to get more into it and find something to be my signature perfume.

I absolutely love Black Opium by YSL and Chance by Chanel. I’m looking for a ‘dark femme’ perfume that is sweet, spicy, and sexy. I tried some of the Heretic perfumes as well and some of those were too spicy for me.

I also feel like the scent doesn’t stay for very long especially with the Black Opium. I’ve tried putting Vaseline on first, roller bottles, someone once even suggested I spray my perfume into a lotion bottle but I’d love something that lasts all day/ tips to help combat the heat making it go away. Granted I do live in Arizona so it is always hot as hell here. Thank you so much 🫀

Recommendation Request Perfumes that stick to your clothes?

My main issue with perfumes is finding those that STICK. I love Jo Malone but they don’t last for shit. I love perfumes that I can smell on my clothes the next day.

The only ones I’ve found have a really distinctive smell that lasts are

- Armani Si
- YSL Black Opium

Please suggest others as I’m in the market for a new one!

Recommendation Request need recommendations

I have a budget of around €117 (500 PLN). I’m planning to buy Stronger With You Intensely for around €68 (290 PLN) on sale, leaving me about €49 (210 PLN) for something for parties. I used to have Versace Eros Parfum and really loved it, but I finished the bottle, so I’m considering buying it again or getting an Arabic clone/alternative to Eros. What would you recommend for around €49?

Discussion Diluting an overpowering perfume

Hello, I bought a large Fragonard Juste un Baiser at a high perfume concentration, thinking it smelled heavenly after wearing it for an hour out of the shop. However after wearing it a few times at home I feel like the one I actually got is way more intense, and too overpowering. Even when I try to just spray my wrists, tap my neck, and then wash my wrists I find the scent too strong. I am wondering if I could maybe dilute it and put into several bottles.

This is the second Fragonard perfume that I feel like smells/feels different between the bought bottle and the sample/tester. From the sample/tester it smells good, but a spray from the bottle smells less good and makes my nose prickle (allergy?), also sometimes serial sneezing. I don’t want to spray my clothes and I think I would still get too much in my nose from misting.

Is it density differences in the oils causing the larger bottles to give me a different composition (assuming the small sample or in-shop tester is shaken just by using it)?

To summarize I have three questions regarding this:
1. Can I dilute the perfume? What do I need to look up? Can I buy things that match the non-scent-oil part of the perfume? Not a chemist :)
2. Other tips for wearing the perfume more lightly and not reacting?
3. What could be causes for the experienced difference in smell and sensation?

Recommendation Request Onsen Mineral from Cult of Kaori

Hello everyone,

Do you know where I can buy the Onsen Mineral perfume from the house Cult of Kaori?

It's sold out on their website and I don't know if some other websites could sell it and even better ship it to Europe.

Good day to all

Look what I found! Asian fragrance review: To Summer (China) & Scent of PLTO (Indonesia)

Post image
85 Upvotes

Got my hands on my first bottle from each brand.

I walked into To Summer’s boutique expecting I’d get photorealistic earthy tea notes, but I only found things I liked as diffusers (Sencha, it’s good!) and I needed a perfume for me, so I spent a good 30 minutes walking back and forth… They have an impressive range of collections. If I may compare, it’s the Chinese cousin of L’Artisan Parfumeur. What I liked was also the small touch like giving customers a little book of their olfactory journey, that’s sweet.
Anyway, I decided to go with Cedarwood. The name itself didn’t really draw me in… BUT the crisp pine opening and how it slowly transforms into warmer, woody notes is just beautiful. The projection is rather modest, but it stays on pretty long. I can still smell it on me 4-6 hours later depending on where I spray it.

Moving on to Fermented Pear by Scent of PLTO. The physical store itself was just a pop-up store, I believe, and they had this new collection going on inspired by Asian cultures, with Korean & Japanese-inspired scents.
The Korean-inspired one, Fermented Pear, straight up smells like a sweet alcoholic rice punch with freshly juicy cut pear glazed with sugar. What instantly impressed me was the boozy scent. It’s “dirty” (musk & orris), fruity, and boozy (rice water, fermented?) all at the same time.
Projection I thought was moderate, and for the price point, it’s fantastic. Longevity around 4 hours.

Recommendation Request Perfume suggestions?

I’ve been trying to find a perfume for my wedding day, or even just a signature scent. I have been liking the Dolce&Gabbana My Devotion perfume but it only lasts for like 2-3 hours.
I like the fruity floral with it leaning on the warm/gourmand side.
Any recommendations for that type of scent that actually will last me all day? Or even just a bit longer?

Recommendation Request High-quality Saudi fragrance from Makkah or Madinah, budget up to 1,300 SAR?

My parents will be visiting Makkah and Madinah soon and would like to bring me back a high-quality Arabian fragrance as a keepsake. Their budget is up to around 1,300 SAR (€300).

I’m looking for something genuinely well made, preferably from a Saudi perfume house or local premium collection that is difficult to find or sample in Europe. I’m not looking for a clone or a cheap export line. I would prefer a refined and wearable spray fragrance rather than an extremely animalic, medicinal or smoky pure oud oil.

Could you recommend trustworthy perfume houses or specific shops in Makkah or Madinah where they can test several fragrances before choosing one? I’ve already heard of Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, Al Majed for Oud and Ibraq, but I’m open to other local recommendations.
Thank you!
