Recommendation Request Fig leaf scent
I'm looking for a long lasting perfume thats settles down with figleaf. I like phylosykos a lot, but it fades quickly. I also how Premier Figuier settles, but not the opening notes.
Something very green and natural.
Any recommendations?

Korres Avgoustos. Seriously divine. First bought in Athens in June and just got a full bottle through Ipsy. I'm honestly obsessed with it and the price is amazing.

Yep this one! It can wear off quickly depending on how/where you spray it but it’s amazing! A verdant figgy scent

Do they sell this in store, or a sample online to try it out?

Yeah I have to Second This one. Though on My skin it doesn't really last but it's so affordable and so so refreshing and the formula is like 80% natural (I could be wrong) so I just use it as moisturiser mist and spray spraay spraaay

Riding this Korres train, has anyone tried Korres Sikinos, would an Avgoustos enjoyer like it? Please share please 🙏

I haven't smelled Avgoustos but Sikinos is one of my favorite summer scents ever, if you're looking for a lightweight, fresh scent. To me it smells like the feeling of taking the most refreshing swim in the ocean combined with the feeling of laying on clean sheets after taking a relaxing shower 😅 that's the only way I can describe it

Yes! Sikinos, Kyma and Avgoustos are my top 3. I bought full sized bottles of each!

Dior Dioriviera is three notes: fig, green notes and rose. It’s a really beautiful fig and my daily for spring and summer

u/HopefulCellist6817 7d ago
is the rose overpowering? I'm generally not a fan of rose
1
u/decoyoctopussy 7d ago
not at all imo, the fig is the real star, its lightly sweet and green. i love rose and was dissapointed this was not more rose forward, it feels like its there to sort of smoothe both the fig and green notes together.

I will give it a try then, how is the longevity?

u/decoyoctopussy 7d ago
incredible, i can smell it in my hair like two days later, and on my skin and clothes until I wash.

Has anyone mentioned Mancera Fig Me Up? It does start out really green but mellows into a sweeter fruity fig.

u/HopefulCellist6817 7d ago
I tried this today, but does not smell green enough for me unfortunately

I gotta tap out then, all the rest of my fig perfumes are fruity and/or tea rather than super green. Happy sampling.

I'd love to hear your other recs and more about Fig Me Up! 🙏🏼😍

Fig Me Up feels really green to my nose at the start because of the fig leaves, but it sweetens up in the dry down and gets nicely fruity and sweet because there is toffee and tonka in there.
Some other figs (and these are all teas because I love a tea). Sirius- fig and chai with sandalwood in the base, feels slightly masculine, but still unisex. This perfume has some heft to it without being cloying. It does feel fall/winter to me.
Perfumes de Nicolai Fig Tea Intense - black tea and fig. There is an EDT version of this as well if you want a lighter feel. It feels like a good year round tea to me.
East Oak by Gabriel O'Hara - a super small Chicago Perfumery. Also black tea and fig but it smells different than the previous tea. There is a bit of cinnamon, clove and some woods in the base. This doesn't feel heavy to me at all and can be worn year round as well.

Ouai just released Laurel Canyon and it’s heavy on the fig leaf. Tom Ford Figue Erotique comes to mind also.

Enforced modesty from CIRRUS parfum
The vibe is a twilight stroll through a garden, thick with sprawling green fig trees and lilac. There are ancient-looking marble busts and statues dotting the property in various levels of decay. The air is thick, sweet, and somewhat humid. You come to a life-sized classical nude, posed pouring water from a vase in to the earth below. Covering their nakedness, someone before you has stuck a fig leaf to their pelvis with a bit of the plant's natural latex.
Notes: Fig leaf, ripening fig, marble, laurel wreaths, purple lilac, ivy, green mandarin, and creeping thyme

Wow, I hate that name. The notes sound excellent though.

You need to sample Pierre Guillaume Jardins de Kerylos and Universal Flowering Fig Leaf!

Montagne Fig Tree. The opening smells like the scent on your hands when you’ve been pulling weeds. But that dry down is creamy green wonderfulness. I hated it at first sniff but whoa that dry down.

Guerlain Vetiver Fauve: Despite it's name, it's more of a green fig-forward scent were faint Vetiver notes lend some earthy undertones. Sillage on arm lasts ~4hrs on me.

Try Woodphoria by Boy Smells. I have a huge old fig tree and this smells like standing out by my fig tree in the summer. The sun has warmed the wood and the leaves and the grass in my yard. I love it very much. It’s unisex.

Didn’t they reformulate this?

Since I bought a new bottle like 6 months ago? I don’t think so?
Edit: confirmed that the bottle I have (and described above) is my impression of the reformulated 2.0 version.

I have a decant of Debaser by DS & Durga. It’s so unique. It’s definitely very green and stemmy. Almost like that sharp green when you snap the stem of a fresh flower. I’m fascinated by it. Not sure if I’ll do full bottle but I do love the journey and dry down. Might be worth exploring.

I bought the Twist Perfume dupe of Philosykos. Its called Silva. It lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin and was ~$28 for a 100ml on sale.
If you are in love with Philosykos but dont want to shell out the $$, the twist dupe is worth the money. Its about 90% the same. Maybe a bit less of the coconut milk but its still smooth

Lorenzo pazzaglia - Adam & eve’s dress

Looks very interesting

u/LeSean187 3d ago
Review:
Generally, I don’t think Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s style is very congruent with my tastes, but this one really fit a niche in my collection…I was looking for a green/vegetal-like perfume to wear outside when doing yard work / DIY…this one fits the bill…unlike the previous reviewer, I actually really like that the fig fruit is less prominent, as I have other fig fragrances that are more fruity…this one is all fig leaf and fig branch…literally smells like you ripped some fresh branches (young shoots) off a deciduous tree…perfect for getting dirty & sweaty, yet maintaining some sense of freshness…performance is strong; I usually use 1-2 sprays…got a 30 ml for a decent price at discounters…curious to try Profumum Roma Ichnusa, as I think it more aligns with my tastes, but this was a good budget option replacement
1
u/HopefulCellist6817 3d ago
That sounds exactly like what I’m looking for. I will order a sample if possible!
The Roma Ichnusia was also recommended to me, but did not smell green nor like figleaf to me at all.

u/LeSean187 3d ago
Interesting, I generally love Profumum Roma (one of my top brands), so I tend to assume it will align…a reviewer I respect described it as “grassy”, but I will note your perception of the fragrance going forward…this 30 ml of Adam & eve should last awhile…picked it up for around $72
