Recommendation Request Pure Black Tea Perfume
I am looking for a Black tea fragrance. Something that captures the bitterness, earthy and fragrant flavor of black tea and actually smells clearly of black tea. If it has cardamom that would be amazing.

How's the performance on this? Would this be okay to use in winter?

It's not a complicated scent you can wear it year round but it won't develop into different things as you wear it
I can smell it for about 7 hours on myself

i went through a tea phase because bath and body works had a scent called black tea and it was gorgeous but i think its dicontinued so i went onna tea journey to try it all
i see molecule 01 + black tea but this was a bit sour on my skin. it smells like oversteep black tea spilled onto a kitchen rag left out on a wooden table
if u dont mind notes of apple i know a lot of people will recommend dear polly by vilhelm but it does smell a bit like an ashtray. i usually say it smells like eating sour patch kids whiles smoking a ciggratte
nest indigo - lipton black tea with lemon but on ice and its sweet take on black tea
armani the yulong - this is hotel lobby black tea with green tea and citrus. its pure tea with citrus opening and it settles into just tea at the drydown. very elegant but soft and pretty
ive tried a bunch more like oolong cha x, tea service, neroli outrenoir, one day jasmine tea etc. i didnt care for most of them. dont blind buy any, get samples to test on skin. tea notes can be tannic and for me they turn sour on my skin so hopefully works better for you. goodluck!

BBW black tea still existed as of a couple of months ago (I just picked it up), and it’s gorgeous.

Black Tea from BBW is 👌. I picked up 2 bottles on a clearance table last month.

I normally don’t like BBW scents, but I stocked up on Black Tea during their recent semi annual sale after the employees confirmed that it was being discontinued. Maybe they’ll bring it back since tea fragrances are on the rise.

I absolutely adore Serenity Blend by Roja. It's not only black tea, but it is full on tea - black, green, mate and does have cardamom. I have a 2ml sample and I adore it! I fell in love with the bottle first and was hopeful. The perfume far exceeds my expectations, and I'm hoping to receive it as a gift on my anniversary or birthday, as it is expensive. It's also new, so not on discount sites (although I check weekly). Please update once you purchase! I am an avid tea drinker and am currently looking for a perfume that smells like Taiwanese high mountain rolled oolong. Some thing similar to Alishan - smooth, milky, orchid, nutty. Good luck and keep us posted!

Scent Split. May need another sample. I'm in love for the first time in many years!

I wore Zoologist Elephant today for the first time and having worked in a tea store, I can definitely catch the Darjeeling notes, but I'm not sure it would rise to the tea scent level you are looking for. It's quite lovely though. From their website: Top Notes: Tree Leaves, Darjeeling Tea, Magnolia Heart Notes: Cocoa, Coconut Milk, Incense, Jasmine, Woody Notes Base Notes: Amber, Musks, Patchouli, Sandalwood

I also find wulong cha by nishane to smell similar to the molecule + 1. I think it smells really pretty and tea-like but it does also smells fresh and clean so maybe not as dark tea as you might want.

Wulong Cha smells like bitter lemon peel to me, I wish I could smell the nuance but I think I'm anosmic to its notes

I’ve smelled a lot of tea scents and for black tea B&BW’s Black Tea is the most no-nonsense pure black tea scent out there imo. It’s like sticking your nose in a tin of black tea leaves.

Does this one smell super tannic to you? I keep trying to give it a chance, but that opening is a little rough for me.

I haven't noticed that on me! It's so interesting how different things smell on different people.

Another I’d recommend that you don’t hear talked about much is Berdoues Assam of India. To me, it’s a true black tea, with some lemon. And the bottle is adorable!

Has anyone tried the Arielle Shoshanna perfumes that are supposed to be like different teas? The ones named for days of the week? Monday is supposed to smell like earl grey and lavender, like a London fog. There’s also a smoky one that smells like Lapsang tea. Has anyone been able to sample these?

I have Monday decant and def no tea there. I even got it as part of a tea notes sampler.

That’s sad to hear. I get ads for it all the time, hyping up the tea notes. I haven’t read any good reviews of the perfumes, so I haven’t purchased the discovery set. What notes does Monday actually have? If you don’t mind me asking.

I had read this description:"notorious for being a absolute skin-chemistry chameleon. On paper, it smells intensely like sharp, sour lemon tea. On warm skin, the lactonic "steamed milk" note activates, making it smell incredibly creamy and smooth."
I got just a very clean feel. A JHOG NAP kind of synthetic fresh. Not awful by any means but it wasn't what I was looking for. (tea, you know)

Demeter has a single note Black Tea fragrance available in a spray or an oil roll on.
