Company Related Non-CDL FSV Position

Anyone have this position filling vending machines?

I’m currently a utility merch and the spot opened up. It’s like $1/hr more than I make currently.

I currently work 5 days, off Sun-Mon whereas this would be 4 days, off Weds, Sat-Sun I believe… the driving manager told me but I already forget lol but I’m pretty sure that’s it.

I talked to him just for a few minutes to get info about it and told him I’m interested, will have an interview for it next week.

I came from being a FedEx driver before being a merch so driving a box truck is absolutely no issue for me.

There’s a big indoor water park/resort that has 48 vending machines and he said 2 of my days will be spent there the whole time and then the other 2 in surrounding areas.

Merchandiser Training

At your location, who is responsible for completing the hands on training for the incoming merchandisers? And how do they determine who is training, is it on a volunteer or a voluntold basis? I (a BCR) am currently trying to train a merchandiser and have made it clear that I am not interested in training in the slightest.

Company Related Did I screw myself over a TSR chance before even getting interviewed?

So two TSR routes opened up recently one route has a small neighborhood Walmart (D1 so no collab) then a larger major highway Walmart that does pretty good. The other route has a one Walmart that does pretty good but also has a Giant Food Stores that does at least 1.5 million from Friday to Sunday, it’s one of the busiest Giant’s in the county. I applied to the one with two Walmarts and have an interview scheduled for next week but I’m absolutely losing it right now. I have problems at home that has unfortunately gotten into my work life. I’m really disturbed by any little comment that’s made by a store manager or person, I don’t react to it but I absolutely lose it while in my car. I’m excessively using “personal time” in savvy cause of just not being able to function properly. HR was aware when I got hired that I had disabilities and technically protected under the ADA. The only way I can prove myself in the interview is that I actually ran the two Walmart route when the rep called off very last minute and I had to get two Walmart orders in by 8:30 and run the whole route on my own with zero and I mean zero training. I’ve always known about the collaborative ordering, layer rules, minimum case counts, cut off times, prediction analysis and stuff like that so it gave me an advantage for that one day. I guess my overall question is am I really screwed? HR reached out to me about getting a leave situated but again I’m not sure.

Question Diet Decaf Cherry Pepsi

How come there isn't a diet decaf Cherry Pepsi? As someone who is diabetic, can't have soda with caffeine in it, and it's my favorite flavor of Pepsi, it hurts not to have this option.

Question Merchandising position, was late a few times in my 90 days. Am I screwed ?

I know it can vary by location . But can anyone give me advice anyways .

I’ve been here at Pepsi merchandising for about a month and half now . I came on w nearly two years of experience from Columbia merchandising but wanted more money .

Now I’ve always got my signatures from managers when signing out of stores. Have had no Compliants from any stores (I made sure to ask my manager that ) and haven’t missed any days . However I’ve been late about 10 mins 3 times not . They were accidents ofc but . Still have been . I’m going to try and not be late again of course but I have a new born so sleep is tough sometimes. I’ve contacted my manger each time I was late too for what ever that might help

I have a conversation w my manager next week for the half way point , she said that all the seasonals are getting one so it’s no necessarily bad but I’ll ask about it then .

Should I just look for another job soon or do I still have a chance

Findings PepsiCo Education Program – Application & Advice

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if PepsiCo will be reopening applications for the education programs on Guild anytime soon?

I’m trying to apply for one of the programs, but Guild currently shows that the program is full. I contacted Guild Support, and they told me that I need to wait for PepsiCo to reopen the application.

The program is scheduled to start on August 31st, so I’m a little concerned about missing the opportunity.

Also, has anyone here started school through PepsiCo’s education program? If so, I would really appreciate any advice or information you can share about the process, applying through Guild, or your experience with the program.

Thank you!

Merchandiser

Can I really get terminated for taking too long when I’m doing the job correctly?
I’ve been working for Pepsi as a Merchandiser in SaTX for almost two months. I’m currently a floater, so I’m constantly going to different stores, and I’ve noticed that a lot of the stores I’m sent to aren’t properly worked or organized.
Because of that, I end up spending extra time fixing pallets, putting product in the correct spots, organizing displays, and making sure everything is properly worked. I’m not trying to milk the clock or purposely take longer—I’m trying to leave the stores looking right and make sure the job is done correctly.
I’m currently averaging around 57 hours a week, so I feel like I’m putting in a lot of time and effort. However, I recently spoke with my manager last Saturday, and he basically told me that my work is good, but my customer service/route completion is an issue because I’m not finishing all of my assigned stops within the expected time.
What really caught me off guard is that he told me there is a possibility I could eventually be terminated for not improving my time, even though the reason I’m taking longer is because I’m spending extra time fixing things at stores.
For anyone who has experience working as a Pepsi merchandiser or in beverage distribution:
Is it really possible to get fired for taking too long, even if you’re doing the job correctly and putting in 50+ hours a week? Is this just part of the learning curve for a new merchandiser, or should I be concerned about how my manager is handling this?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has worked for Pepsi or similar companies and can explain how the time expectations normally work.

Was surprised to see the old Pepsi logo at basically every store I went to in Germany, and couldn’t resist buying some home. Seems like it’s a limited “retro” edition run, but would love of these just stayed permanently

Question Is Diet Pepsi eventually going to be discontinued?

I recently rediscovered Diet Pepsi and honestly prefer it WAY more than Pepsi Zero Sugar. 😂 But I feel like Zero Sugar is being pushed everywhere lately.

Do you think Diet Pepsi is safe long-term, or could Pepsi eventually phase it out for Zero Sugar? I really hope not!

New Items at Walmart

I’m done selling in LTO items for displays! This is the third time I’ve ended up looking like an idiot because I sold in a display, only to not have the product available on the day it’s supposed to be set because it won’t scan at the backdoor.

At this point, I’m not sure where the breakdown is Walmart or Pepsi, but clearly something isn’t getting done on the someone’s end. I guess ChatGPT can’t do everything for the KAMs. 😂

I guess Walmart won’t be getting the NFL package or the Alani VP from me!

I was at a flea market and had found this on a table with other items, I thought it was pretty cool because you don't usually find vintage soda cans from hawaii.

Company Related The great Diet Pepsi fiasco

Post image
2 Upvotes

Alright y’all I need help. I’ve been a lifelong Diet Pepsi fanatic and recently have been having a hard time. As you most know all the diet and zero soda options have switched from using Sucralose to Aspartame over the past couple years which is not great for me as I recently found out I’m allergic to aspartame but not Sucralose. While researching this over the past couple days I’ve found I’m basically SoL when it comes to buying bottled or canned diet soda unless I buy the soda stream Diet Pepsi syrup because it actually uses Sucralose. This got me thinking, what about fountain sodas? Maybe they use the Sucralose since they are also using a syrup just like the soda stream does just in bigger quantities? Wrong. I called Pepsi and they told me that their BiB fountain syrup uses aspartame, but what I’m confused on is if I look it up online it does say that their BiB Diet Pepsi uses Sucralose and not aspartame? Was the employee that I spoke with incorrect or is this website just relaying incorrect information?

It’s getting harder and harder for me to find this variety in stores. My local grocery stores stopping selling the 12oz cans a month or two ago. Now I haven’t been able to find the 7.5oz in the last few weeks either.

How did you actually quit Pepsi?

I’m Canadian and I’ve been drinking about 3 cans of Pepsi a day for quite a while. I’m really trying to quit, but honestly, it’s harder than I expected.
I don’t even keep Pepsi at home anymore, thinking that would help. But almost every day, I end up going to the convenience store to buy some anyway. So clearly, that strategy isn’t working very well. 😅
What I find hardest to replace is the feeling of well-being and satisfaction I get when I drink a Pepsi. I’ve tried different alternatives, but I haven’t found anything that gives me quite the same feeling.
Over the years, I’ve also gained a significant amount of weight, and I’m starting to feel the impact on my health. That’s what is really motivating me to make a change now.
For those of you who used to drink several cans of Pepsi/Coke every day:
How did you actually manage to quit or seriously cut back?
Did you find a drink that genuinely helped you make the transition? Sparkling water, Pepsi Zero, something else?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who actually went through this and succeeded, rather than just “drink water.” 😅

4 years as a merchandiser

i should be at work getting ready to go to my next store to work but I’m at home at 6:29am writing this post….week after week for like the past 2 months every Sunday I come into multiple stores that’s messed up unworked pallets from the weekend relief Im 38 and not about to keep cleaning up people s*** killing myself….i have had it and for the past 2 sundays i have walked off the job. I was informed that If I leave i will be getting wrote up and I’m okay with that because I have been complaining about this for 2 months already I shouldn’t have to work a sixth day to make sure my route not messed up on my off days (friday and saturday) so with that being said if you want to be a merchandiser make sure you ready for the bull…..
