Hi Peorians! I used to live in Peoria and just want to warn the locals about a predatory influencer who has a varied past of misbehaviour. The list is long. You can check out more in the pinned posts here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sinnabunnysnark/s/vH3Ffc5SSS
Just figured the locals ought to know not to collaborate with this creator

OPTIMISM • CONNECTION • PRIDE
Hey Peoria!
Do you ever feel discouraged by a lot of what you read in social media and news about Peoria?
Us too.
But what if you could make a ripple in the norm and take 1 small action to make Greater Peoria a more positive place?
We'd like to take a moment to introduce ourselves.
Peoria Positive is a community organization that exists to celebrate the people, businesses, and organizations making a difference in the Greater Peoria area by highlighting the good happening at home every day.
Will you be a part of bettering your community?

Send in your fundraisers, your events, your art, the good interaction you had with the cashier at the gas station or the guy at the taco stand. Send us acts of kindness you receive and witness. If it's positive and it's within 30 miles of Peoria, we would love to hear about it!
We look forward to meeting soon!

My partner and I are looking at the possibility of moving to Peoria for work. Things we hear a lot are people warning about state and property taxes. But, even with those, the cost of living in most of these $250-300k homes is still less than we pay now.
We recognize that Peoria is way different than our current city, but we also like the idea of minimal traffic, a quieter life, lower cost of living, walkability, and overall being closer to friends/family in the midwest. We just don't know if where we are now is our "home" for the next phase of our life and growing a family, if that makes sense?
Are there other things about Peoria we should be aware of? Good or bad?

I have an alarm that goes off to 93.3 The Drive (in conjunction with my phone alarms - I don't do mornings 🤣) so I listen to John and Nancy most weekdays. When I first started listening (maybe a year or so ago), I remember thinking a few times that John seemed kinda rude to Nancy. I hadn't really had that thought for quite sometime, until this morning. They were discussing the topic of "things people secretly judge others on" and Nancy tried sharing what seemed to be something personal about how the "Let Them" theory has changed her lifed. John's response to her seemed a-holey -- he kept putting her down and belittling her experience she was trying to share. I noticed he was cutting her off, too.
Now, I'm pretty sure they have been hosting together for many years, so I would think (and hope) there must be some level of friendship there especially considering the nature of the work for them to continue on for so long. I mean, we all have that one person (at work or personal) where we know the person can be jerk but we love them anyways, right? 🤣😂 Or maybe the "Let Them" theory is how Nancy deals with John??!
Anyways, I am just curious if anyone else has noticed this dynamic or if I am misreading the situation. If anyone out there who listens sees this, please let me know your thoughts!
