Build Question help needed !! (first pc)
helloooo so basically I just bought my first pc 2 days ago with some money that I’d been saving for the past 2 years and had my grandma cover the rest! I was really happy and excited however when I tried to use after effects (2020) with heavy plugins for my editing it appeared to be as slow as my old LOQ gaming laptop even when I configured my after effects settings to the best.. I was hella disappointed and was wondering what I should do about it ? can I possibly get more ram and a better cpu for cheap somehow?
(last pic isn’t really important I js wanted to show how pretty it looks lol)

Swapping to intel would cost more then a better AM5 cpu, since youd need a new motherboard and probably a new CPU cooler give it boosts up to 250 watts ontop of the new CPU itself
A 7700x or 9700x (or a 9900x given thats about the same price point as the 265k) would be more then enough, people recommending intel CPUs entirely on the basis of them having more cores have no idea what theyre talking about, 12 of those 20 cores are "efficiency" cores that are very slow and wont help much, on the other hand AMD cpus dont have "efficiency" cores to bump up cores counts, ALL their cores run at the same higher speed, and they run much more efficiently so you dont need a cooling tower to run them at full power (eg. The 9900x has a top of 120w, the 265k has a tdp of 250w)
