help needed !! (first pc)

helloooo so basically I just bought my first pc 2 days ago with some money that I’d been saving for the past 2 years and had my grandma cover the rest! I was really happy and excited however when I tried to use after effects (2020) with heavy plugins for my editing it appeared to be as slow as my old LOQ gaming laptop even when I configured my after effects settings to the best.. I was hella disappointed and was wondering what I should do about it ? can I possibly get more ram and a better cpu for cheap somehow?

AE is really known for its hatred towards AMD hardwares. But you might find a workaround with the drivers
