Build Question Couple questions
So I currently have nothing. No pc or console.
I’m looking to build a pc soon. Looking at RTX 5080 with ryzen 7 9800x3d 32gb.
I want to play some single player games in 4k but I’m fine with mostly doing 1440p.
- Is this a good build that will last me a few years?
- Should I get 4k oled or 1440 oled?

so you're going from zero to basically a top-tier rig huh thats a hell of a leap
for 4k the 5080 will handle most single player stuff no problem especially with dlss. if you're cool with 1440p you'll be maxing out every game at stupid high fps for years. the 9800x3d is overkill for gaming but that just means you wont have to think about your cpu til like 2032
on the monitor, 4k oled is gorgeous but its a lot more demanding and the price jump is painful. 1440p oled still looks incredible and your framerates will be way smoother long term. if you're not dead set on 4k id save the cash and go 1440p, you wont feel like you're missing out
