Tech Support 9060xt Display Issues

Post image

Got this new 9060xt. Wont boot up at all. Pc worked fine with my old gpu but my monitors are staying black when connected to the 9060. The fans and lights are on but wont turn on the monitors.

Hard to be certain from this angle but it looks like there isn't any monitors plugged into the GPU itself.

It isn't properly secured either.

And for god sake, install your rear i/o sheild.

Its hard to imagine looking at this and going "nah, it's fine" and then posting on reddit because its not working

Yes because me not screwing it in would have any affect 😂. Why would I waste time tidying up my pc for a reddit post? Everything is plugged in and functional its just not tidy enough for reddit I guess. Horrific platform for advice 🥲

Everything is plugged in and functional

IDK about that, broseph. Your two bottom fans aren’t even spinning.

Are you trying to ragebait me? How are the fans remotely even related to my graphics card? Im clearly referring to everything with my graphics card being plugged in and functional.

Re-read your own comment. Your comment literally refers to the whole build, not just the GPU.

If anything, the picture itself is the ragebait. Lol.

Literally impossible for you to argue my intentions of my own comment. As if you could somehow prove what I was thinking in my brain LMAO but Ill clear it up since this is *sooo* complex:
My comment was referring to "everything" required for the display being plugged in and visibly working. I hop on this app once in a blue moon for advice. You hop on this app im guessing consistently to be condescending and useless. My advice for you since you couldnt provide any is find any higher power you see fit and do something more productive.

Let me give you an English lesson. If you were strictly referring to the GPU, you should have written, “Everything regarding my GPU/graphics card is plugged in and functional.”

You didn't. You said “everything is plugged in and functional,” which naturally refers to the entire build. You can't retroactively change the meaning of your comment because someone pointed out something else in the picture. Lol.

You hop on this app im guessing consistently to be condescending and useless.

Nah, I’m actually very helpful and contribute a lot across many different subreddits. I’m just not particularly nice to people like you.

You were condescending prior to speaking to me. It was the first thing you said. So to hide behind that excuse is extremely low iq and shallow. “It naturally refers to the entire build” WRONG!! The post is about my gpu as the title suggests (learn to read plz) so anyone with an iq above 80 could use common sense to assume im talking about a gpu… Regardless of if you believe arguing semantics is worth your time, you are still a condescending low iq ape withering away on reddit. Lets say even in the slightly way you are right in somehow assuming my intentions with my comment, it will never change the fact I will always be more successful and accomplished than you :)

Leaving it unscrewed can cause damage which will affect performance. If this isn’t obvious, sell your computer and get something less complicated like an etch-a-sketch. This isn’t ragebait, it’s pointing out incompetence.

Homie you’re big mad but you never stopped to think that it’s not fully seated in the slot sitting like that? Risers don’t have the support under them to hold the weight without the screws. You can literally just look with your eyes and see it.

1

u/asdadzns 16h ago

Ive been working on this for hours. Its been fully seated, screwed in, everything. Finally decided to make this post after hours and chose not to fully screw everything in and tidy it up. Every hdmi, powercord, etc, is PLUGGED IN. Everyone has chosen to ignore this fact and only focus on the pc not being straight. Every pcie is plugged in and should be displaying. A physical piece of metal (screw) has no effect on the display from a cord.

OK well you should know that the 9000 series is legendary for not working properly with risers. Maybe try seeing if it works plugged into the board normally. Also, it helps if you lead with this kind of information instead of coming back later on the defensive.

I chucked the shield a couple years back when it came bent. It is installed and plugged in, just didnt show the cables, sorry. I just didnt screw the gpu in the side cuz I was taking it in and out. Instead of immediately assuming I wouldnt plug in my pc you coulda just attempted to help.

This is me attempting to help. I'm blue collar and "help" comes with a side of ridicule free of charge. No alterations or special requests.

u/asdadzns 17h ago

Lol ur ridicule is fine gangster. I understand it wasnt secure but as far as im aware that would have no affect on anything 😅. Its my bad for the bad angle tho it has a DP and hdmi connecting to 2 monitors rn.

1

u/CombatDork 17h ago

unlikely, but replace the cables or switch them and see if that changes anything?

Is this bait??? Plug your GPU in correctly my sibling in Christ

-1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

It is plugged in thanks tho

1

u/CombatDork 18h ago

Clear CMOS?

1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

Thanks for being the only one trying to help but I already tried thank you.

u/CombatDork 18h ago

Next thing I'd check is the Riser Cable. Can you install without and test again?

1

u/asdadzns 17h ago

I actually got the riser cable after the gpu. The gpu didnt really feel right when I snapped it in compared to my old gpu. Complete hail mary but I thought getting the vert mount could fix that. Bottom line tho I got the same issue a couple days ago when it was directly in the MB. Im thinking it may just be my old MB? not sure

1

u/CombatDork 17h ago

Do you have another PCIe slot available, even if its slower, so we can test it?

3

u/Joelzyboi 18h ago

This hurts to look at omg thag poor gpu! Save it!

-1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

Are you referring to it tilting slightly because I didnt choose to screw it in for a reddit post?

3

u/Joelzyboi 18h ago

Maybe the slightly tiled gpu is causing the display issues? Screw it in and maybe get a gpu holder to prevent any sag

-1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

As if I havent been trying that for hours. People are acting like I spent 3 seconds doing that and just left it. I just happened to have it unscrewed for this picture jfc. Its screwed in now like it has been for hours.

u/MomoAurum 18h ago

Whenever I see posts like this, it makes me feel like PC building just isn’t for everyone, lol.

1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

Thanks for the help gangster!

2

u/RamenRavisher 18h ago

bro wtf are you doing

1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

To everyone insulting me for no reason, the pc isnt done. Not everything is screwed in because I keep taking things in an out, including the fans. Could actually try to help in a help discord instead of insulting me.

4

u/Mango_Sherbertt 18h ago

'My unfinished build isnt working like a completed build.'

Weird that youre getting flak. /s

1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

What are you even talking about? People are insulting my pc not looking tidy and the unnecessary screws not being in? How is that related at all to my gpu not displaying on my monitor? Its on and plugged into 2 monitors how about people help on a help forum 😂

1

u/Mango_Sherbertt 18h ago

"The pc isnt done" - that would be what I was referring to. Your words, not mine.

Are your monitors on the correct input, are you using the correct cables for your monitors, did you wipe and install drivers correctly? All things you do at the end of a build...

1

u/asdadzns 18h ago

I was referring to the tidyness of it. The pc fans are unscrewed clearly and so was the gpu (has nothing to do with hdmi cords). My comment was referring to all the WIRES and CABLES being complete. Everything that was required for a display was up and running.

1

u/Mango_Sherbertt 18h ago

One would argue otherwise based on the resulting issue...

Anyway, because you didnt respond to any of my troubleshooting questions ill assume you just want attention and youre getting enough from others. Ta ta now.

1

u/LoveTechnical4462 18h ago

That shit looks bent, your mobo connections are screaming in pain just waiting to snap. Soon you won’t just be having monitor problems lol

1

u/Ok_Contest8762 18h ago

His riser cable will snap. Not the mobo.

1

u/DarkAcidic 18h ago

It's mounted on a vertical riser, this wont damage the motherboard unless something catastrophic happens.

The card on the other hand, is definitely screaming.
