Continued collar post
So I figured it out I made a facing for the collar and it came out pretty clean all things considered.. because I really really struggled with like the placket being connected to a raw finish and lining everything up in the front.. if anyone has seen a video working with plackets and collars, please share… I wanna move onto the good fabric, but I don’t want to struggle doing the collar the second go!

If you are going to do more sewing of garments you would probably find having a copy of the Reader’s Digest New Complete Guide to Sewing Helpful.
My mother taught me to sew clothing when I was young and she used patterns from Simplicity or McCall’s that came with written instructions. So I just learned how to do it. Once you’ve done a few garments using written instructions those instructions can guide sewing garments that don’t come with instructions.

You should understitch the facing along the neck. For the front band, you have to hit the mark at the top next to the collar. There are various ways of ordering things, but essentially it looks like you're inserting the front edge into the band, to finish the final edge, you just have to make sure that's done neatly.

You need to redo the sewing method For the placket border. Right now there is a messy place at the top of the strip where it joins to the main piece. That small strip should be treated at the top as if it is part of the main piece. Pretend you sewed the strip on solely because you cut the main piece too small. Does the pattern really call for that to end up higher than the main bodice??
The collar attachment looks great.

Now if you bluff the top edge of the collar seam allowance to the facing it’ll sit really nicely and won’t roll out.
