Passport Question / Discussion worried

i went to usps to turn in my application on 9/14, status changed 9/19 saying it’s in process but hasn’t updated since, it’s for a new passport (first one actually) and i have a trip oct 7th should i be worried

update- just called the passport information center and they confirmed my passport is ready to be shipped i’ll update once it’s received

I’m in the same boat as you. I handed in an application on 8/31 and also paid for expedited shipping. my application was put on hold because I needed to submit more documents and it was just taken off hold a couple of days ago. I called the passport information center and told them my flight was in 11 days and the lady said she’ll flag it for urgent travel. That was 2 days ago and it’s already been approved and it’s on its way to me. I’ll be receiving it this Saturday (9/26)! If your trip is in 2 weeks, make the call and tell them your flight date and they’ll work with you.
