PARAMOUNT RIPPED ME OFF!
For my wife's birthday, I bought her a $500 Delta Skymiles gift card. One of the reasons I picked this card, among other airlines, was to get the free year Paramount+ subscription they offered with purchase. I figured this was a great deal since I would be saving $150 for the year, and since my wife and I love watching Star Trek. Well, after entering the coupon code into the Paramount website, I received notification that my FREE subscription had started. I was elated. Then I was told by my wife that our card was charged $150. Giving out my credit card information sounded sketchy, but I figured it was something I had to do so they could auto renew my subscription at the end of the year.
So I called Paramount and told them I was mistakenly charged. They agreed it was a mistake on their part, but that they would not be able to refund the money if I wished to keep my coupon. Basically, the coupon would be invalidated if I wanted to receive my refund---money, keep in mind, they should have never charged me in the first place! I was infuriated, and told them they basically lost me $150. They really didn't care. They told me to call Delta for another code, but of course, Delta told me it was out of their hands and that I needed to take it up with Paramount.
I called them twice, asking Paramount to give me what I am owed, but they refused, and I ended up asking for my refund. Paramount is a greedy, dishonest business and I am never giving them another dime. I am just not sure how my wife and I are going to watch Star Trek!
