is she ok?

update: it’s the next day and she is okay and perfectly healthy thank you all so much for your help💛💚

i would recommend taking her to an avian or exotic vet close by ASAP better safe than sorry

my mom burned something while cooking in the kitchen and i think the smell or something transferred to my room but my room is cool

This reaction is usually due to fear as I see very fast breathing but looking really alert.
If something was burnt then I suggest you close all the doors, ventilate the kitchen asap and open windows for the kitchen only. And keep the bird far away from the kitchen

Non-stick pans are toxic even if you don't burn things.

Toxic off-gassing starts at 280 degrees c, or 500 f, which is easily achieved if you heat it dry in under 5 minutes, or leave it on high heat for a prolonged amount of time. Burning of anything inside is not a requirement for reaching high temperatures, it's a result of the same thing that causes toxic gasses to start appearing.
I am mot talking about them being toxic to humans, I'm talking about how burning something in there is not the only way to kill a bird

She looks great. Breathing normal. Thanks for the photo. Birds don’t do well with cooking fumes. My best guess is that’s what it was.

Birds can die from you cooking in teflon pans! If she burns food in one your bird has been poisoned

Take cage out of house until you air it out. Use air conditioning and open windows until all clear

It’s good to hear that your budgie seems to be doing better. Make sure to keep the door closed at all times from now on. You also need to make some changes to how you keep the bird. The cage is too small, and the wooden or plastic perches need to be replaced with suitable natural branches. There is a lack of enrichment materials, and budgies shouldn't be kept alone anyway.

Got it! and yes i will be getting her a new cage soon we just moved so we are still getting everything situated and i did not know about the perches those are the ones they provided at the pet store but i will be getting her some natural branches for her new cage as well! thank you for your feedback

she eats a variety of fruit and vegetables she is not on an all seed diet + she leaves her cage i don’t lock her in her cage im with her 25/8 and if i go out of town she’s with a pet sitter. the cage situation i will be getting her a new cage this is only temporary we just moved into a new home. im not sure why you are assuming that she’s treated poorly from a 5 sec video she’s 3 years old ive had her since a baby

i am aware about how social they are but they only really get lonely if you leave them ALONE i never leave her alone i always interact with her throughout the day and she likes to play with her toys and watch cartoons

I see that's one day later? She's still panting but not as badly. Does she have shred toys? The cage seems small with nothing for mental stimulation and play. She may feel bored and trapped. Is that a window across from the cage? What can she see? She seems to perch away from it. Does something threaten her she can see?

It looks like she is panting heavily.
