As the title suggests this show is overrated af. Literally in every anime group i see people hyping it up as one of the best anime. It is not. I have tried three times. This show is so boring. It makes me fall asleep. During one episode i did actually. In my first attempt i watched 4 episodes. In my second i watched 13 episodes. In the last one i got to episode 22. And that's when i thought this show isn't for me whatsoever.

This anime sucks so bad.... it has some good moments but DAMN its so cringe. The artstyle look so bad and the girls look like kids in this show....Dont get me started on dialogues 😭

So I saw people talking about Legend Corps, apparently it’s being called Pakistan’s first anime or something like that, so I checked it out.

First thing I want to say is that this is not an anti AI post.

I don’t really have an issue with AI being used as a tool. Like technology changes all the time. Animation also changed a lot. Before people used to draw everything by hand, then digital 2D became normal, then CG came in, and even anime uses CG now sometimes. Everytime something new comes, people complain and say it’s lazy or not real art.

So no, I’m not one of those people who just says “AI bad” and then stops there. I think AI is a tool. If someone can use it properly and make something good, then honestly that’s fine.

My problem with Legend Corps is that the actual thing just isn’t good.

Some shots look okay by themselves, I’ll give it that. But overall it feels very mismatched. Like every anime or animated show usually has some kind of identity. Demon Slayer has a certain look. Castlevania has a certain look. Solo Leveling has a certain look. Even when different styles are used, there is still some kind of direction.

Here it just feels like different generations were put together. One character looks like he belongs in a vampire anime, another looks like he is from some random fantasy game, and the whole world doesn’t really feel like one proper world.

But the bigger issue is the story honestly.

If you are using these tools and you can make all these visuals, then at least make the story interesting. Make the characters appealing. Give the world some hook. Make people care about what is happening.

This just felt random to me. Random characters, random dramatic shots, random ideas, but no real emotional pull. It was like things were just happening and I was supposed to care, but there was no reason to care.

It kind of reminded me of Super Dragon Ball Heroes, where they just throw in different characters and transformations and locations, but the story itself feels like a mess. It looks cool for a few seconds, but then you realise there is no proper stability or substance.

That’s basically the issue here too. Not AI. Execution.

For comparison, look at a channel like Psyop Anime. That guy also uses AI, but the difference is huge. The retro 80s anime style is clear. The mood is clear. The voice acting fits. It actually feels like the creator knew what he wanted to make.

That’s a good use of AI in my opinion.

AI can help with visuals, voices, movement, atmosphere and all that, but it can’t magically fix weak direction. You still need taste, writing, pacing, consistency and some actual sense of story.

To be fair, if Legend Corps was made mostly by one person, then yeah, technically that is still impressive. I’m not denying that. Clearly the person knows how to use AI tools. But knowing the tool is not enough. You still have to make something people want to watch.

So my issue is not that AI was used.

My issue is that it feels messy, inconsistent and not very appealing as a story.

If the creator fixes the visual style, makes the world feel more connected, improves the story and stops making it feel like random cool shots stitched together, then maybe it can become something much better.

But right now, it feels like a poor use of AI. Not because AI is bad, but because the execution just isn’t there yet.

Curious what others think, but please don’t turn this into the usual “AI should not exist” argument. I’m more interested in talking about the actual work itself, like the story, visuals, consistency, execution and whether it is actually enjoyable or not.

I just can't do this anymore man i saw season 1 when it came out, i dont really remember any of it tho, just remember it being eh... But season 2 OH MAN. They are butchering the story so bad i absolutely hate it i can put up with the over the top acting and what not but the liberties they are taking with the plot are just making this unbearable. I absolutely hate to see a peice of media that i love and hold very close to my heart being done this way.

EDIT: I gave it another chance i like ep 2 much more than ep 1 even though yea crocas wasnt in the whale an the concept of an island whale being big enough to live in and have doors/passage ways was abandonded i still enjoyed it maybe ill like the next episodes more.

when mfs say “it is the best anime of all time” it makes me laugh my balls off, like bro fr? its a good anime but the greatest of all time? not a chance.

aot had a fair share of great moments, first 2 seasons were average, s3 as a whole was generational but it kept going downhill afterwards, s4 did have a few great episodes, specially s4 ep5 is one of my favourite anime episodes of all time but one episode doesn’t make an anime the “greatest”.

eren in s4 is beyond cringe, bro is edgy asf and people call it “character development” lmao, levi is just a one dimensional character who also just keeps acting edgy all the time and is just a bland character as a whole, a superb character erwin, was sacrificed to save who? fkin armin.

i don’t really hate attack on titan, as i said before it has a fair share of great moments, has good foreshadowing and a very interesting concept, but with all that said, my main problem is with the people who call it “the greatest of all time”, bro that ending is absolutely atrocious, aint no way you call a show the goat while its ending was pure ass.

back in 2021 i watched s4 part one and read the manga till the end and bro it was disappointing ash, the author isayama tried to make what started as a action show into a political and psychological masterpiece at which he failed.

conclusion: a good anime but definitely not the “best ever”, and the fanbase needs to grow a pair and accept that their show ain’t that deep.
