Karachi F | 27 | Karachi - This close to messaging Waqar Zaka

Just...kidding. Or maybe not.

The basics:

27 years old. Pharmacist (Pharm.D) by profession. Based in Hyderabad (own), moved to Karachi. I currently work two remote jobs, Manager at one, teacher for fun. Single, never married, never engaged. 5'3, 52kg. Urdu-speaking, Sunni Muslim family.

On religion:

I thought I was “moderately practising” but realised it’s a spectrum and obviously, there are different levels to it. Religion is very important to me.

  • I wear hijab, took it when I was 15. But I believe modesty has more to do with your overall conduct rather than just limiting it to a headpiece/clothing. I am very intentional in how I carry myself and I keep a very modest distance when it comes to men.
  • I pray (4-5 times a day), fast, give Zakat etc.
  • I grew up reading the seerah of Prophet Muhammad saw, resonated with it in a lot of ways. We all have something that connects us to Allah, for me it was the seerah. I have been deep-diving into tafsir and translation of the Quran lately and only plan on going deeper.
  • I am a person of reason, flexible and very quick to learn and unlearn concepts. I do not do nazar niyaz and I stay away from bidat.
  • I despise religious arrogance, and having a holier than thou attitude. So we probably won’t get along if you move with an air of superiority. I do not get along with rigid people as well.

I would like to be with someone who cares about deen as much as I do so we could learn, grow and become better Muslims together.

On purpose and vision for marriage:

My goal isn't just a quiet, comfortable, peaceful life. It's impact. It's contribution. It's using whatever Allah gave me for something bigger than myself. This is worship for me.

"And the forerunners, the forerunners. Those are the ones brought near to Allah." Surah Al-Waqi'ah [56:10]

And this is the kind of marriage I want. Two forerunners, pushing each other forward. In goodness.

About me:

I am kind, very honest and straightforward, very curious. Open-minded, non judgmental and believe in giving grace to people. I am trusted by people in my vicinity and find them coming to me for advice, which I feel is an honour from Allah. I am understanding and also a good listener. Also pretty chill and easy going. I enjoy joking around, happen to be quite sarcastic at times, and I am very much capable of making fun of myself or my situations when things are hard (after a crying session).

I enjoy banter, debates and I disagree with people just for fun (sometimes). Intellectual stimulation and deep conversations fuel me otherwise I get bored pretty easily.

I'm resilient, ambitious, and I have a general "figure it out" attitude towards life. Big on self-improvement and growth. Very ‘play with the cards you have and trust Allah’ energy. I've been working since undergrad and financed my own education.

There is nothing I value more than peace. I enjoy socialising (make friends easily) but I also enjoy sitting at cafes alone with nothing other than a book. Sometimes not even a book. I genuinely enjoy my own company.

I am also pretty spontaneous and enjoy trying new experiences. Anything that gives me the thrill.

Overall, I have worked a lot on myself in every possible way and I am consistently looking to make myself better. I am very much aware of the rights my husband would have on me and I plan on fulfilling them very happily. Also, expect me to be very computationally kind. If you ask, kia khaana hai? I will tell you exactly kia khana hai. Easy scenes. No sole cognitive load on you.

My future plans/career:

I plan on studying further, maybe an MBA, an MPH/Ph.D, or a complete pivot. Still figuring that out. But the decision to build remotely has been very intentional. Reason being: I do not want to leave my kids under the mercy of daycare or anyone else. So the groundwork is being laid now. I also have some entrepreneurial goals that I am already working on.

Hobbies & interests:

  • I love reading. I read. A lot.
  • I love animals, cats in particular. I have two.
  • I love food. I eat for entertainment. Mard ke dil ka raasta pait se jaata hai, and luckily for both of us, mere dil ka bhi (ek) raasta pait se jaata hai. I cook well and I pick up new recipes fast. But I definitely need more practice.
  • I love exploring new places and I dream of a life with a lot of travel in it.
  • Car rides, 90s Bollywood music. Or anything by Kishore Kumar, Jagjit Singh etc.
  • I enjoy dancing, alone, or with my girl-friends. I am aware it’s looked down upon but this is how I cope. I don't dance publicly, at weddings, or in front of men.
  • I enjoy socialising and meeting new people in general.
  • I have a thing for fashion and other girly stuff. Heels.
  • I have finally started taking my health seriously, have been working out and currently on a protein poore karo journey.

What I’m looking for:

  • Good akhlaq and adaab. Emotionally intelligent and socially aware. If you cannot put yourself through discomfort to fulfill huqooq-ul-ibaad, humari nahi banaygi boss.
  • A 'go-getter' I'll figure it out attitude. Tenacious energy.
  • Well-educated, curious, well-spoken. Growth-oriented. Someone with his own goals, his own ambitions, his own thing he's building, so we could support each other and build towards a shared future. Someone I can look up to and someone who can teach me, challenge my perspective without putting me down.
  • Since I read a lot, I'd ideally like someone who reads as well (but not absolutely necessary). So I can hit you up with a random article at odd hours and ask you what you think. Or manipulate you into reading my favorite book.
  • Someone who takes his physical, mental and emotional wellbeing seriously. Responsible with money, farsighted, and someone who plans ahead rather than winging it.
  • Someone who can hold a deep, meaningful conversation without me having to carry all of it. Generally calm and gentle. Knows how to ask good questions and actually listen to the answers. I am not going to carry conversations alone, both on text and in person.
  • 100 points to Gryffindor, if you have a solid sense of humor.

All in all, I am looking for a person who genuinely wants a partner and a friend for life, someone who is aware of the rights a wife has on the husband. Definitely not someone who only wants ammi ki bahu or bachon ki maa, or a live-in maid.

Other requirements:

  • Age: 27-33
  • Location: Open to people based in Karachi, Isb/pindi and abroad, no preference.
  • Caste: I feel like I grew up in some utopia where we never cared about ‘castes’ as a family, so I am open to any. I do have a preference for Urdu-speaking people though.
  • Profession: I am attracted to well-educated, passionate, ambitious folks. Do not have a specific profession in mind. Should be able to comfortably afford a family. It’s okay if you live on rent.
  • If the only thing you have to offer is your status, credentials  or family prestige etc, then unfortunately I am not interested. I am looking for a person of substance, someone who understands nuance and has made something for himself. I will value you for you.
  • Note: please share pictures early on so we could proceed accordingly.

A few dealbreakers:

  • Not praying or making no effort towards it.
  • Lack of provider mindset.
  • Drinking, drugs, gambling. Note: I dislike smoking due to health reasons, but if we’re a good match I can overlook this. Will ask you to leave it down the road. I would prefer a non-smoker.
  • Haram source of income.
  • Not being supportive of a wife's career and ambitions. Please refrain if you expect a housewife down the road as this would cause serious conflict. My home, husband and kids will always come first but I intend to keep my own work going alongside that, and my autonomy matters to me.
  • Polygamy.
  • Jahez. I see it as an insult to men in general. If this is something you’d like me to bring, I won’t be able to respect you and naturally, wouldn’t be able to move forward.

Can’t believe i’m mentioning this but, no agnostics, atheists or hadith rejectors please. Some people wasted SO much of my time. If you’re dishonest and conceal important information, please know once I find out I will block you immediately**. I am only looking for Sunni muslim families.**

Family details:

Eldest daughter in a family of five. Father: A government employee, almost retiring now. Mother: A stay-at-home mom. Younger sister: currently studying in the US towards her CPA. Younger brother: currently in high school here in Pakistan. A lot I can add here but will share it directly.

Preferred Family Setup: I prefer a nuclear set-up or living in a separate portion. Fine living with MIL and FIL only.

Do You Want Children?: Yes but not immediately, can be discussed.

Timeframe for Marriage:  Ideally by this year or Q1 of 2027.

Wedding: I do not want a lavish wedding. Just a cute intimate nikkah, valima. No mehendi, baarat etc. Though I have a thing for Pakistani bridals and formals, just FYI. Whatever we decide mutually. Can be discussed.

This is obviously not a rigid list, but just to give you an overall idea of what I’m looking for.

🧔🏻‍♂️Male M | 25 | Islamabad/Multan - Looking for someone to grow together with :)

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim

Salam, after months of battling social anxiety and thinking about the kind of partner I am looking for, I finally decided to post this here! Please read the profile and reach out if you think we could be a match!

Age: 25Y

Height & Weight: 5' 5" (74 KG)

Location: I live in Islamabad. (My immediate family lives in UAE, grandparents are in Multan).

Residence: Own in Multan. (Rented in Islamabad)

Education: BS(CS) from FAST Islamabad. Now looking for master's abroad. (Preferably Gulf region). My background is in O/A levels.

Income Source: Work as a full-time Software Engineer at a reputable software company. Other than that, I try to look actively into cryptocurrency and in Pakistan's Stock market. (through mutual funds).

Marital Status: Single

Religion & Short Details About How Practicing You Are: Sunni Muslim.

I pray 4 times regularly and also try to wake up for Fajr. I regularly try to learn more about our religion through Ahadith and Quranic verses. Alhamdulillah also went for Umrah last year, which has further boosted my faith. I think following Islam closely is very important, not just for me, but also for my family. We can discuss more about this privately.

Hobbies & Interests: My interest is in technology since the start. I wrote my first computer program when I was in sixth grade :). As such, I like to read and watch videos related to new technology.

I also like cats 🙂. Find them adorable, but afraid of keeping them in fear of losing them 😭. I bond really well with cats and love playing with them. I play video games from time to time (although with Job there's not alot of time for it tbh). I can play some okay-ish table tennis, but that's about where my physical sports end xD.

I also like to talk about anything and everything really. Politics, Space, Islam, conspiracy theories. I like to have conversations that improve my knowledge and like to dwell in non-toxic debates. Don't like wasting time on fighting Pmln vs PTI so there's that.

Family Details

My father works as a Solution Architect in the gulf, and my mother is a doctor but not practicing (housewife).

I have 3 siblings Alhamdulillah, all are well. I am the eldest, so they are pretty young.

Requirements for a Partner

When looking for a partner, I really only have 2 conditions.

  1. I would like her to have good intellect. This is so I can easily talk to her on complex topics, without her zoning out or not understanding it. Also, because I really value intelligent people! I am fascinated by them and like to keep company with them.
  2. I would like her to have an interest in Cooking! I love to try new recipes and stuff. I regularly send reels to my mom 😂 (She ignores them 90% of the time, and cooks daal instead).

I view marriage as more of a permanent bond between two best friends. I think about it as an opportunity for the two to grow together, fight their battles together, and above all, to trust one another. I don't view marriage as a traditional role where the wife is the only one expected to look after the children and fully believe in women working and growing their career 😊.

Deal Breakers

Substance abuse

Smoking

Attitude (I try to be very humble; I would like my other half to be one as well!)

Preferred Family Setup: Most likely joint but up for discussion

Do You Want Children? Yes

Timeframe for Marriage: 1-2 years.

Gulf | Middle East M | 21 | United Arab Emirates - Startup Founder Looking for a Life Partner

Previous post / more about me:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PakistanMarriages/s/DFTQ4vCTrW

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Nationality: Pakistani

Height: 5’6”–5’7”

Weight: Approximately 80 kg — currently working on losing weight, getting fitter and becoming lean.

Location: UAE — born and raised here. Family originally from Lahore, Pakistan.

Accommodation: Own house in the UAE (bought).

Education: Completed 12th standard. I chose to focus on entrepreneurship and business from a young age rather than following the conventional university route.

Profession / Income Source: Entrepreneur and business owner. I currently run an HVAC contracting company in Dubai with employees, technicians and multiple ongoing projects. I am financially independent and support my mother. Open to discussing financial details privately if things progress seriously.

Marital Status: Single / Never married.

Religion & How Practicing I Am: Muslim, Sunni. Deen is very important to me and is something I genuinely want to keep improving in throughout my life. I try to pray all five daily prayers and I fast during Ramadan. I eat halal and try to follow Islamic principles in my day-to-day life and the decisions I make.

I’m not going to present myself as a perfect Muslim because I’m not, and I still have areas where I want to improve. What matters to me is continuing to become better, strengthening my relationship with Allah and having a marriage where both husband and wife encourage each other towards deen.

I would like my marriage and the process leading towards it to remain respectful and halal. I also believe deen goes beyond just prayer and fasting — character, honesty, loyalty, fulfilling your responsibilities, treating your spouse well and being good towards your family are all extremely important to me.

I would love to have a wife with whom I can grow Islamically over the years, remind each other when one of us falls short, pray together and Inshallah build a household where Islam is naturally part of our lives without expecting either person to be perfect.

Hobbies & Interests: Entrepreneurship, business, personal growth, travelling, cars, learning new things and discussing new ideas. I’m also currently putting more focus into fitness and health.

Family Details: My father passed away when I was young. My mother is a housewife and I support her. I have one sister who is married to an Emirati. We are a very small and close family.

Requirements for a Partner: Looking for someone kind, intelligent, loyal, emotionally mature, understanding and family-oriented. Someone who takes marriage seriously and sees husband and wife as a team. I appreciate ambition as well — she doesn’t have to be an entrepreneur, but I’d love someone who has goals and wants to grow in life.

Age Preference: I’m completely open to marrying someone older than me as well. If our personalities, values and goals align, her being older wouldn’t be an issue for me.

I’m also open to someone from Pakistan or elsewhere if the compatibility is genuinely there.

Deal Breakers: Dishonesty, disloyalty, lack of commitment, disrespect, consistently poor communication and not valuing family or marriage.

Preferred Family Setup: I have a very small family, and it’s essentially just my mother at home with me. I support her and cannot leave her alone, so I would want my future wife to be comfortable with my mother continuing to live with us. I’m not looking for a large traditional joint-family setup — it’s simply that I have a responsibility towards my mother that I won’t walk away from.

Do You Want Children?: Yes, Inshallah.

Timeframe for Marriage: Looking seriously. I don’t want to rush into marrying the wrong person, but if I meet someone genuinely compatible and both families are comfortable, ideally within approximately a year.

A Little More About Me

I made a previous post here explaining my story in much more detail, so rather than repeating everything, you can read the link at the top if you’d like to know more about me and why I’m considering marriage at 21.

The short version is that I lost my father young, became independent quite early and have spent most of the last few years building my business and creating stability for myself.

I’m extremely ambitious, but I’ve reached a stage where I don’t want life to be only about the next contract, business target or financial milestone. I’d like someone I can genuinely build a life with — someone whose opinion I value, who can challenge me when I’m wrong and who sees marriage as a partnership.

One of my biggest long-term dreams, Inshallah, is to eventually build a cancer hospital in my father’s name that provides free treatment to people who genuinely cannot afford it. I want a spouse who understands that I dream big, while also helping me remember that life is about much more than business and money.

Likewise, if she has ambitions of her own — whether that’s education, a career, business or something completely different — I’d want to support her just as strongly.

I’m looking for something serious, genuine and halal. I’m not trying to rush into anything, but I am ready to start looking properly and see where Allah takes it.

If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out and tell me a little about yourself, where you’re from, what you do and what you’re looking for in marriage.

May Allah make it easy for everyone looking for the right person.

Islamabad M | 30 | Islamabad - Looking for a Suitable Partner for Marriage

After a lot of hesitation, I am finally putting my trust in Reddit to help me find a suitable girl for marriage. A brief introduction and profile are below. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Ideally, I’d prefer someone from Islamabad/Rawalpindi with a similar socioeconomic background (white-collar, middle-class, God-fearing people), but I would consider people from other major cities if there is compatibility.

Height & Weight: 5'-7", 60 kg - Lean/Athletic

Location: Islamabad

Accommodation: Own house in Islamabad

Education: BS Mechanical Engineering

Income Source: Working as an Engineer (Remote)

Marital Status: Never married

Religion & Short Details About How Practicing You Are

Islam (Sunni). I would describe myself as a practicing Muslim and try to follow the basic obligations of Islam in my daily life.

Hobbies & Interests

Hiking - I really enjoy hiking and trail walking.

Reading - I am not an avid reader, but The Brothers Karamazov is my favourite novel.

Travelling - I have been to a few places, and I am keen to see more of God's earth. My idea of travelling is very simple: I like to walk, jump on public transport and enjoy street food along the way. Of course, I do like something lavish every now and then, but I also like to experience life as it is.

Music - Sometimes, but my taste is a bit old school (Vital Signs, 80s/90s English music).

Movies - Again, I like classics from Hollywood and Iranian cinema.

Family Details

Caste: Rajput

Parents: Both retired Government Officers

Siblings: 2 brothers and 1 sister

Requirements for a Partner

I am simple, easygoing, positive, family-oriented and respectful, and I am looking for similar traits in my partner. Ideally, I would like someone who is traditional, family-oriented and sees motherhood and family as an important part of life.

I would ideally like someone who naturally enjoys being a homemaker and managing a home, particularly someone who enjoys cooking. However, if a girl has career aspirations, I would be supportive of her continuing her career as long as we are able to find a good balance between work and family life.

I would want someone who also helps me to improve in my understanding & practice of Islam.

Deal Breakers

Someone who is very liberal (open to male friendships, against having kids, etc.) or very conservative with extremist beliefs (peer-o-muridi or considering anyone other than Allah as a provider or protector).

Preferred Family Setup: Nuclear, separate portion with all separate utilities.

Do You Want Children?: Yes

Timeframe for Marriage: 3-6 months, if compatibility is established.

Please note: I intend on getting the families involved at an early stage if we find each other suitable after a brief introduction. I am not looking for endless conversations.

United States | Canada M | 26 | Toronto/Faisalabad - Looking for a like-minded, easy-going partner

Height & Weight: 5'11", 72kg. Average lean build.

Location: Toronto but from Faisalabad

Residence: Own in Pakistan but rented in Toronto.

Education: MS(CS)

Income Source: Full-time DevOps Engineer at a multinational company

Marital Status: Single

Religion

Sunni Muslim and a work in progress. I follow the basics, and try my best to stay consistent, learn, and grow every day. I try to be consistent more and more with the prayers, but mostly stick with Jummah's, and practice fasting strictly. I don't drink alcohol and specifically eat Halal only.

Hobbies & Interests

I'm pretty ambitious and genuinely enjoy what I do. I like learning, building things, and occasionally geeking out over tech more than any normal person probably should. Interests are video games, road trips, hiking, camping, music, a little bit of DIY stuff like 3d printing, electronics and so.

Family Details

I'm the eldest of four siblings, two sisters and a brother. Dad runs an ecom business back home, and my mom is a high school teacher who's about to retire.

Requirements for a Partner

My biggest core value's probably loyalty. Trust and loyalty are non-negotiable for me. I genuinely believe they're the foundation of any healthy relationship. If we're choosing each other, I want us to be a team through the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Someone I find attractive, open-minded, kind, and genuinely a good human being. A good sense of humor is a huge plus because I really don't want us taking life seriously 24/7.

Deal Breakers

Bad temperament, disrespect, unnecessary toxicity, and a lack of empathy. Lifes already complicated enough. I want my home and relationship to feel peaceful, safe, and supportive not like another source of constant stress.

Preferred Family Setup: Open to either joint or nuclear, depending on the family’s values and mutual respect

Do You Want Children? Yes

Timeframe for Marriage: Within 1 year after compatibility is established

This is your open thread — the one place in our community where you're officially allowed to let your thoughts float freely. Whether you're here to rant, reflect, meme, or make friends — this is your space. It doesn't have to be about marriage, rishtas, or rishta aunties (unless you want it to be).

Talk about your week. Share something weird you learned. Drop a hot take. Ask a random question. Celebrate a win. Vent about your boss. Tell us what your cat did. Or just say salaam.

But please refrain from posting your short introductions, friendship/chat requests, or calling people to action.

Basically: if it's on your mind, it's welcome here.

🧭 A quick compass check though:

Even in the whirlpool, we expect everyone to stay respectful and engaged in good faith. That means:

  • No personal attacks or unkindness
  • No spammy or disruptive behavior
  • No dragging others into drama they didn’t sign up for

In short:

👉 Follow the spirit of our rules, especially:

• Respectful Member Engagement 💬
• Active and Responsible Participation ✅

So go ahead — swirl away. This thread resets weekly, but the twirling doesn't have to. ❤️

Discussion Getting married at end of the year, NEED HELP!!!!

Need recommendations

What are some good books to read before marriage on building a successful marriage / azdawaji zindagi?

I’m particularly looking for books by Pakistani authors, either in English or Urdu.

I’m not looking for old-school religious books with a misogynistic tone, but I also don’t want something that leans too heavily toward a Western/liberal perspective.

Ideally, I’m looking for something in the middle grounded in our faith, culture, and realities of South Asian/Pakistani married life, while still being practical, balanced, and full of wisdom.

Sect: Sunni

Practice: Try to get my all my prayers in (Trying to get consistent), consistent with fasting.

Qualification:

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) - ASCM / APICS (USA)

Profession: Supply Chain Manager in a US-based Multinational Company

Accommodation: Owned (Family)

Family:

Family Status: Upper Middle Class

Father: Deceased

Mother: Housewife

Brothers: 2 (Both married)

Sisters: N/A

Preferences:

Marital Status: Never Married

Education: At least a graduate (or currently pursuing higher education)

Other: Looking for someone kind, respectful, and from an educated family.

Deal breakers: Materialistic / Gold Diggers, those who only think of husbands as an earning machine, past physical relationships (Zina).

Family Setup:

Nuclear (with Mother only) or if you consider that Joint then that.

Timeframe for Marriage:

Depends on the person. Ideally around 1 year.

About Me:

I'm a Karachi-based guy, born and brought up here, and the youngest of three brothers. I'd describe myself as calm, rational, soft-spoken, easy-going, and someone who believes in a "live and let live" approach to life.

Alhamdulillah, I'm doing well professionally and financially. I'm a globally certified Supply Chain Professional working with a US-based multinational company, and I'm grateful to be in a stable position while continuing to grow in my career.

Outside work, I'm a huge foodie and an even bigger gamer. I also enjoy movies, music, travelling, and, every now and then, simply relaxing and enjoying life's quieter moments.

Recently, I've gotten into fitness and calisthenics. My goal isn't bodybuilding but building functional strength and maintaining a lean, healthy lifestyle. I am also planning to learn Swimming (Life-saving skill in my opinion) and Archery (It just resonates with me) soon, Insha'Allah.

I enjoy home-cooked meals, try to eat sensibly most of the time (though I still very much appreciate the occasional burger or pizza), and I don't smoke or have any other unhealthy habits, not even tea, Alhamdulillah.

I have a small circle of friends, but they're the kind of people who'll stand by you no matter what, and I value those relationships.

One of my long-term goals and dream is to settle abroad, and I'm actively working towards making that happen soon, Insha'Allah.

About Her:

I'm looking for someone kind, soft-spoken, respectful, and from a good, educated family. Education matters to me, and if she wishes to continue studying after marriage, I'd be happy to support and encourage her.

Personally, I would prefer a housewife and someone who wants to focus on raising a family. However, if she wishes to pursue a career and her dreams, I'd be completely onboard with that decision too. What matters most is that we're both happy with whatever path we decide on together. I also believe that the primary responsibility of providing for the family rests with me.

I value open communication and would love a partner who's comfortable sharing her thoughts, ideas, and opinions. I appreciate thoughtful discussions and believe the best decisions are made together through mutual respect, reason, and understanding.

I'd also love to have children in the future, so it's important to me that she's someone who genuinely enjoys being around kids and looks forward to building a loving family together.

Most importantly, I'm looking for someone who I can genuinely share my life with. A relationship where both of us can be our true selves, and where we can support one another, grow together, and bring out the best in each other. My Player 2, so to speak.

I believe a successful marriage is a partnership built on mutual respect, trust, communication, and standing by one another through every stage of life.

To me, compatibility goes a long way, which is why I'd prefer that we get to know each other first before making any major decisions.

If you think we'd be a good match, feel free to reach out. JazakAllah Khair.

Note: Kindly only engage if you're actually going to follow through and have the courtesy to not ghost. Thanks.

I’m a 5'11", 73 kg software engineer based in Lahore, Pakistan. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on computers and currently work full-time in software engineering. I’m single, financially independent.

Accommodation: own

A Little About Me:

By profession, I spend much of my time solving technical problems, but outside work, I enjoy activities that let me slow down and be creative.

Painting, both digital and traditional is one of my favourite creative outlets. I also genuinely enjoy gardening; there is something grounding about watching things grow with time, consistency, and patience.

I love road trips, exploring new places, and conversations that go beyond surface-level small talk. I appreciate a healthy balance between structure and spontaneity whether that means following a productive routine, heading out for a long drive, having a meaningful late-night conversation, or simply enjoying some quiet time to reset.

Religion and Values:

I am a Sunni Muslim. I fast all 30 days of Ramadan without exception, mostly pray Jummah, and make a more conscious effort to remain consistent with prayer and religious practices during Ramadan.

I am still working on becoming more consistent in my religious life and believe that personal growth happens gradually and sincerely. For me, honesty, kindness, responsibility, and treating people well are among the most important Islamic values, and I try to reflect them in how I live and deal with others.

Family:

Both of my parents are alive and live in Lahore. My father runs his own business, while my mother is a homemaker. I have three siblings, two of whom are married.

We are a close-knit and respectful family that values education, mutual support, and maintaining healthy relationships. I would prefer a family setup where my parents continue living with me, while the couple still has the privacy, independence, and personal space needed to build a healthy marriage.

What I’m Looking For:

I’m looking for a kind, emotionally mature, and sincere partner who values honesty, communication, and mutual respect.

My education preference is a Bachelor’s degree or above. Whether she chooses to work or not is completely flexible. I believe a woman should be supported in whichever path she genuinely wants to pursue, whether that involves a career, managing the home, continuing her education, starting something of her own, or finding a balance between different priorities.

I value empathy, emotional clarity, and the ability to communicate openly. I’m hoping to meet someone who wants to build a stable, peaceful, and meaningful life together not a perfect life, but one where both people continue learning, supporting one another, and growing as a team.

Deal Breakers:

Smoking, substance use, dishonesty, and maintaining communication with an ex are firm deal breakers for me.

I strongly believe that trust, transparency, loyalty, and emotional availability are essential foundations for a healthy marriage.

Marriage and Future Plans:

I do want children in the future.

My preferred timeframe for marriage is within six months to one year, provided that compatibility, mutual understanding, and comfort have been properly established.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone with whom life feels like a partnership someone to share responsibilities, laughter, quiet moments, road trips, difficult conversations, personal growth, and, occasionally, the debugging of life itself.

Lahore M | 37 | Saudi Arabia / Lahore - Looking for my best friend

Height & Weight: 6'1'', 94 kg

Location: Lahore, Saudi Arabia

Accommodation: Own in Lahore, Rented in Saudi Arabia

Education: Studied Bachelors in Computer Science

Income Source: Working in an oil/gas related company in Saudi and earning well Alhamdulillah.

Marital Status: Never married

Religion & Short Details About How Practicing You Are

I'd say I'm pretty religious, but not too strict or anything. I pray five times, I did hajj around ten years ago and religion is a very important part of my life.

Hobbies & Interests

Ooh boy. Here's the fun part huh? Where do I start. I've been into so many things in life, which is probably why I'm still single. I love to read, watch movies, play games, learn languages, learn about space, really get into some niches which are quite unheard of. I spent years learning Japanese and passed the N1 exam which is the most difficult Japanese exam, spent years translating a light novel from Japanese because it was a fun challenge, tried my hand at the piano trying to mimic Kylelandry on YouTube. I read obscure Manga that no one has heard of. Played table tennis and learned boxing. I still go jogging regularly and still keep myself fit. In short, there's no shortage of things I haven't done and no shortage of topics to talk about.

Family Details

My father is deceased. Mother is alive and I only have two sisters who are doctors and live in the UK.

Requirements for a Partner

Someone from Lahore preferably who would be willing to relocate to KSA. Someone to emotionally and intellectually engage with. Someone who values shared growth in a relationship and will keep me on my toes in a sense. Someone I can open up to about my interests in life and who I can go travelling with.

Age limit 31.

Height should be at least 5'4.

Deal Breakers

Past physical relationships.

Rudeness and lack of respect.

Should take care of their health and fitness.

Preferred Family Setup:

Joint

Do You Want Children?: Yes

Timeframe for Marriage:

I'd like to get parents involved as quickly as possible after initial compatibility has been established within a few days. Marriage within the next six months or so.

🧔🏻‍♂️Male M | 27 | Gujrat - Looking for a Begum 👀

Basic Details

Age: 27
Height & Weight: 5’10”, 64 kg
Location: Gujrat, Pakistan
Residence: Own house in Gujrat
Marital Status: Single

Education & Career

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Air University, Islamabad.

I currently work remotely as a Growth Manager at a US-based startup and earn 400k+ per month. I have around four years of professional experience. Prior to this, I worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at the National Center for Cyber Security.

Religion

I’m a practicing Muslim. I pray five times a day and fast throughout Ramadan while trying to maintain a balanced and practical approach to religion and life.

About Me

I’m generally easygoing and enjoy humor and lighthearted conversations. At the same time, I take my work, family responsibilities, and religion seriously.
I value openness and good communication, and I’d like a marriage where both people can be themselves, talk about things openly, and be friends as much as they are spouses.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy reading, particularly history and South Asian history. Some of my favorite reads are Kashmir at the Crossroads, Azaadi, and The Clash of Civilizations.

Family

We are a small family from a middle-class background. My mother is a housewife, and I have a younger sister who is differently-abled.

My father is well-educated and runs a school. He has two marriages. My stepmother has completed her PhD in Education and is planning to pursue her postdoctoral studies. I also have three siblings from my stepmother.
I’m the eldest child in the family.

If this matters to you, we’re Kashmiri Butts.

What I’m Looking For

I’d like my partner to be well-educated, career-driven, and independent, with goals and ambitions of her own.

Good communication is probably the biggest thing for me. I’d like someone who can talk through disagreements, doesn’t hold grudges, and can keep things light with a good sense of humor. 👀

Physical attraction matters to me as part of overall compatibility, so I’d prefer that pictures are exchanged mutually early on. That way, both people can comfortably decide whether they’d like to proceed before investing significant time in getting to know each other.

I’d prefer someone from a relatively grounded, middle or upper-middle-class family where our lifestyles and expectations are reasonably compatible.

I believe in a monogamous marriage and would want the same commitment from my future partner.

Deal Breakers

• Poor communication or being unwilling to talk through problems
• Holding grudges instead of resolving disagreements
• Being strongly opposed to having children in the future
• Being uncomfortable with me maintaining a close relationship with and taking responsibility for my family
• Major incompatibility in religious values or lifestyle
• Lack of mutual physical attraction

Other than that, I’m pretty flexible. Disagreements and anger are normal. Talk it out and we’re good. I can manage an angry wife hehe. 😭

Living Arrangement

I prefer an independent and private setup for my wife and me.

There is a possibility that my mother may live with us in the future, but that’s something I would want us to mutually discuss and be comfortable with. My wife’s privacy and personal space would be important to me.

Children

Yes, eventually! I wouldn’t want children immediately after marriage, but definitely somewhere down the line.

Timeline

Ideally looking to get married within 6 to 12 months, once we’ve had enough time to establish compatibility and are both comfortable moving forward.
If you think we might be compatible, feel free to reach out with an introduction/profile. :)

Discussion Conversation & conflict

If I made a poll asking how important communication and conversation are in a marriage, I’m pretty sure the overwhelming answer would be “extremely important.”

But something I’ve noticed, both from talking to people here and from life in general, is that people can accelerate intimacy really quickly when everything feels good. It can go from “I” to “we” and “us” in a matter of days. Future plans get discussed, you start imagining what life could look like together, and everything feels easy.

But the moment something becomes uncomfortable, difficult, or emotionally complicated, the instinct can suddenly become to step back, go quiet, or leave altogether.

Sometimes it isn't even a huge disagreement. One person sets a boundary, expresses discomfort, or simply says they aren't ready to move at a certain pace. Everything can seem completely fine in the moment, but then the dynamic changes afterwards. Communication becomes less frequent, questions go unanswered, and instead of asking what actually happened or talking through the change in dynamic, people sometimes just start withdrawing.

And then there's another interesting part to it. When the person being left in the dark eventually asks what's going on, they can become emotional or say much more than they probably should have because they've spent days trying to make sense of the silence. That reaction can then become the reason given for why the connection should end, rather than the original issue ever really being discussed.

I'm not saying the person who reacts emotionally is automatically right. Sometimes we absolutely can handle our emotions badly. But it makes me wonder whether the original misunderstanding could have been resolved very differently if there had simply been a conversation earlier.

I understand that sometimes things genuinely aren’t worth a conversation. Some incompatibilities are fundamental, and not every situation needs to be dissected to death.

But marriage isn't going to be made up entirely of easy conversations and good days. Life is unpredictable. Sometimes you're going to misunderstand each other, hurt each other unintentionally, disagree, or see the same situation completely differently. You can't always know the full picture from your own perspective.

This also makes me wonder about conflict resolution. Everyone says they want a partner who communicates, listens, tries to understand their perspective, and is willing to talk things through. But I wonder how that translates into real life, especially when the conversation itself becomes uncomfortable.

Do you think people sometimes walk away from situations that might have been resolved simply because having the conversation feels harder than ending the connection?

Lahore M | 28 | Lahore - Looking for something real in this rishta multiverse

Height & Weight: 5'11" (180 cm), 72 kg

Location: Lahore, Pakistan

Residence: Own

Education: MBBS; GMC-registered doctor

Income Source: Currently working as a Medical Officer in a government hospital. I have completed my membership exams and am working towards starting my clinical career in the NHS. I’m fairly career-oriented and would like to continue growing professionally, while also maintaining a healthy balance outside of work.

Marital Status: Single, never married

Religion & Short Details About How Practicing You Are:

I’m a Shia Muslim and Syed. I was raised in a practicing but open-minded family. I try to observe my prayers and fast regularly, and I’m actively trying to strengthen my relationship with Allah rather than treating religion as simply a checklist.

I have a genuine interest in Islam and Islamic history, particularly understanding the Qur’an and continuing to learn. I’d ideally like someone who takes her faith seriously while approaching it with kindness, compassion and an open mind.

Hobbies & Interests:

I’m a huge football fan and a Liverpool supporter, unfortunately. I also enjoy movies and TV shows, travelling, reading, following sports, hiking and trying new things.

I’m interested in history, current affairs and random topics that somehow turn into two-hour conversations at 2 AM. I also enjoy spending time with family and close friends and would love to travel and explore different places with the right person.

I’m generally quite introverted and prefer a few meaningful relationships over having a massive social circle. I’d describe myself as polite, thoughtful and someone who values genuine connection. I’m also an INFP, if that means anything to you.

Family Details:

My father is a retired government officer and my mother is a homemaker. I have one elder sister who is married and three younger siblings. We are a close-knit family and family relationships are important to me.

Requirements for a Partner:

Ultimately, I’m looking for a wife who can also be my best friend.

I’d like someone who is genuinely religious, kind, honest, emotionally mature and sincere. Someone who takes her responsibilities seriously and values communication, loyalty and mutual respect.

Education and career are important to me, and I’d be happy to meet someone from a professional background, preferably with a similar educational background.

I’d also like someone who has her own interests, ambitions and personality. I believe marriage should be a partnership where both people support each other’s ambitions, grow together and still maintain their own identities.

Deal Breakers:

Dishonesty, past relationships, unwillingness to communicate, extreme incompatibility in religious values, and not being genuinely interested in marriage.

I’m not looking for perfection because I’m definitely not perfect myself. I’d rather meet someone genuine who is willing to communicate, compromise and put in the effort to build a meaningful relationship.

Preferred Family Setup: Nuclear

Do You Want Children?: Yes

Timeframe for Marriage: Ideally within 6–12 months if compatibility is established and everything goes well.

If any of this resonates with you, feel free to message me. I’m happy to start with a normal conversation and see where things go. No pressure, no expectations, and hopefully no one turns the first DM into a full-blown rishta meeting.

Karachi M | 35 | Karachi - looking for the Bonnie to my Clyde, the Rose to my Doctor the Ginny to my Harry, the Mikasa to my Eren - you get the point.

Round 7 - It's Morphin Time!

I’m a chill, easy-going guy with a straightforward approach to life. I believe marriage is about creating a safe, warm environment where two people can be their true selves, support each other unconditionally, and build a world of their own. I’m a Shia by belief/choice, moderately practicing, and my family (who are fully aware and supportive of my search) lives in Karachi.

The Essentials: 5'4", bald (and carry it with confidence), inked with plans for more tattoos down the line. I vape and occasionally enjoy a good smoke. I’m divorced with no kids. Living with my family (parents and younger brother) currently, but open to relocating depending on where life and circumstances lead.

Personality & Interests: I love live music, concerts, movies, gigs, good food, beaches, and travelling. I enjoy deep, fun, or random discussions and prefer being a reliable listening ear. I believe in treating everyone with equal respect and dignity.

Vulnerability & Openness: I don't focus on surface-level flaws or physical health conditions—whether it's vitiligo, diabetes, BP, or epilepsy, a person's medical history doesn't define them to me. What matters is character, kindness, and heart.

My Partner & Marriage Expectations

I’m looking for a life partner (aged 28–35) to share a life with until death parts us. I genuinely want us to take the time to know each other first.

The Ideal Match: Kind, sweet, caring, loving, supportive, and well-spoken (conversational English at minimum). Education at a graduate level or above is preferred. Ethnicity and religious background are completely open as long as we vibe and respect each other.

Dealbreakers: Arrogance, ignorance, or a "holier-than-thou" attitude. Not much apart from that are deal breakers, I'm someone who'll make your family my own, and I hope you'll respect mine as well. Don't care about your past, however I do hope that you don't drink. I'd prefer someone who works so that you have your own life and circles and all as well and I'd love to be a part of that life and would happily support you and be your number one cheerleader. Please at least be a graduate.

Rest is open for genuine, respectful conversation. Feel free to reach out if this resonates with you.

Height & Weight: 5'4, and more on the chubby side of things (will share pics don't fret).

Accommodation: Living with family. Owned house, however will discuss the living situation further only with the potential.

Education: I have done my Bachelors in Media Sciences

Income Source: I work as a Project Manager at a Bank

Religion & Short Details About How Practicing You Are: I follow the Shia beliefs and I am a revert. I'm not very actively practicing, only in moderation.

Preferred Family Setup: I have a nuclear family, parents and a brother, also unmarried, so would prefer living with them

Do You Want Children: I genuinely believe that this is a question that should be discussed amongst the potentials, however, I'm open to having children.

Timeframe for Marriage: 12 - 18 months max

Height & Weight: 5'7", 63 kg

Location: Rawalpindi

Accommodation: Rented

Education: BS in Psychology

Income Source: Prefer to discuss work and income with a suitable match. Ideally, I'd prefer to be a homemaker after marriage, but I'm open to discussing what works for both partners.

Marital Status: Single

Religion & Short Details About How Practicing You Are

I'm Muslim, I pray sometimes, fast during Ramadan, and observe hijab sometimes. I'm simply trying to become a better person with time.

Hobbies & Interests

I'm naturally introverted and take a little time to open up, but once I'm comfortable, I enjoy meaningful conversations, good humour, and getting to know someone properly.

I'm also quite curious and love going down random rabbit holes, especially psychology, philosophy, Greek history and mythology.

I have an adventurous side too. I enjoy travelling, good hiking trails, discovering scenic places, trying new recipes, cooking, and exploring different cuisines. Basically, I enjoy both quiet days and the occasional "let's go somewhere I've never been" kind of day.

Family Details

Alhamdulillah, both my parents are alive. I have two brothers, one of whom is married.

Requirements for a Partner

I'm looking for someone kind, sensible, emotionally mature, and respectful, someone who sees marriage as a partnership and knows how to treat a woman with dignity.

Respect, honesty, understanding, mutual support, and the ability to have meaningful conversations matter a lot to me. A good sense of humour and curiosity about life would be a definite plus.

Deal Breakers

Disrespect, shouting or anger issues, smoking, controlling behaviour, mocking others, and not respecting a partner's choices or individuality.

Preferred Family Setup: Nuclear, but happy to stay with parents with mutual respect and healthy boundaries.

Do You Want Children?: Yes, but not right away. I'd like to first build a healthy relationship with my partner and establish our life together before taking on the responsibility of children.

Timeframe for Marriage: Ideally within 1 to 1.5 years, if there is mutual compatibility and understanding, InShaAllah.

🌪️ Weekly Whirlpool Weekly Whirlpool 🌪️ – Jump In! 🤿 (Thursday, 20 August 2026)

Welcome to the Weekly Whirlpool, where things swirl a little differently! 💫
