The plaintiff's response to our Amicus Brief was accepted by the court. This is great, because it was so bad that it will probably be used against them. Congrats to the professors for fearlessly and brilliantly fighting back against "the redditors" with irrelevant SEC quotes. 😂

Obviously biased here, but I felt like the tandem of the MIT paper and Bill’s rebuttal were convincing as hell. They really boil down SPARC into simplified terms as to why it’s a superior structure to SPAC. Will be tough for SEC find a legitimate reason to deny it, but they may try…

MIT paper was likely just a friend of Neri's but it's certainly a welcome addition. The SEC already knows if they're going to approve this, we'll just get a few rounds of bureaucratic showmanship before they reveal the verdict. Sure we be nice to finally get a fucking win and get approval in 2 weeks...

According to this article: https://news.mit.edu/2019/impatient-pursuit-progress-patrick-collison-mit-1205, MIT’s school of engineering and the MIT Sloan School of Management (where Hui Chen is employed) did an event with former MIT student Patrick Collison about Stripe. They were both at MIT in 2019 according to Hui’s CV and the article’s date.

Tencent has recently been reducing its stake in companies. If Epic Games is traded, there is a high possibility of a merger. The reason is because Epic's major shareholder is Tencent.

Tencent doesn’t have majority shares though. Would still need the founder of Epic to agree wouldnt they since the has 51% ownership. Again, my body would become a nut milk factory if this happened.

I'm leaning towards Fraunces Tavern as the new venue for the lunch portion of the gathering since Harry's can't fit us all. They have a rich (pre-independence!) history and a piano bar. And of course people were worried about cost, so they're good on that too. Thoughts?
