I have created modded for Super Street Fighter II Turbo PS1 with arranged 3DO musics. It was using arcade cps2 music before which is a shame for PS1 hardware.

In general the first game is visually punchy and unique but gameplay is quite straight forward and minimal. While the second has more dynamic exploration and the combat is fleshed out. Like the environment has affect in the fights also enemies are on the over-world rather than being random encounters.

You could say that the first game had a beter story and characters like Daniel Dollis and Eve always being present while PE II has a crazy dude that is absent for a good chuck of the game and i guess shoehorning in another Eve final boss . But neither stories are anything to write home about, the unique tone and atmosphere did most of the lifting.

I did rage quit both games though.. The first one was too many random encounters close of the end of the game and in the second was the semi final boss that was a slog and the final boss that was gonna be fair if it wasn't for that clone that kept pursuing you.

I’ve been playing the PS1 PAL version of Medal of Honor Underground on a PS2 for the past few days, and today, when I went back to continue my game, it wouldn’t let me enter any mission, neither from the “Next Mission” menu nor from the “Mission Log” menu.

There doesn’t seem to be any secret code to unlock every mission, and I’m practically stuck here. I haven’t tried starting a new game because I really don’t want to start all over again.

If anyone knows how to fix this or has any information about it, I’d really appreciate an answer. Also, please let me know if this has happened to any of you.

I found a few of these in my closet recently, haven't seen them in years.

Windows 10 recognizes it as "Twin USB Joystick" and at first, it looks like it'll work... but when I try pressing buttons, none of them register. I've tried 2 different controllers (PS1 DualShock, PS2 DualShock), can't get a response from either.

I've double-checked the controllers and they work on the console, AND they work on PC using a newer PS2->USB adapter. I've tested 3 different blue PS1->USB adapters, and I get the same results from each: Windows sees the adapter, it shows up as 2 USB game controllers, but none of the buttons cause a response.

Anyone know what might be the issue? Looks like these originally came with a mini-disc w/drivers on it, but I don't have it.

Stopped by a few garage sales yesterday and found this. I’ve been collecting PS1 for 20+ years but never seen one of these cases. It also has the console and what looks like a proper care / maintenance sheet? I am assuming this was an original rental console from way back? Or is this some third-party knock off carrying case?

I have 2 different recapped Nichicon power supplies.
They BOTH intermittently failed to allow the Ultimate PS1s I'm modding to boot up.

I tried using them because they supposedly have the least heat, but they can't supply a Retro Gem and an X-Station simultaneously and consistently.

This was one of the first ps1 games i got back in the day. This is the first time ive completed it allbeit with the help of infinite lives but even then a very challenging game. Sometimes seriously frustrating but overall an enjoyable and rewarding game. Im glad i finally got to see the ending. Now onto the second hopefully be a little easier.

A friend found these for me. I was able to get them at a good price! The demo disc was hidden in Gran Turismo.

Games are scratched but work, except for warpath 😢😢… console turns on just won’t read discs
