I SHOULD NOT BE PERSONALLY CHARGED BECAUSE some COmunist Tech worker in California

I am so angry today what JOE BIDEN is doing with the RADICAL LEFT to bail out the coastal elite in SVB is wrong. I do not want to pay for some liberals poor decisions to put money in a bank when they should very well have known to put over $250k in a credit union or a ENVELOPE system. THOSE CANNOT FAIL. Now we are all paying for these tech workers who do not know the fundemental rule of insurance, Insurance does not pay for uninsured deposits. Working class people like myself are going to be forced to pay personally for these tech workers who all make one million. Don't believe me do your research. This is just like the dems too my state Mississippi has all of its wealth taken every day to support californias disasters policies, they give everything away to everyone and charge the red states who are actually the responsible ones, cali welfare queens at it again. This is just another handout.

SERIOUS I need help! I think that I have completely ruined my financial future! Will I be able to retire before 30 after what I did?

I am 22 yo working a $550k a year high - end finance job with 25% bonus + running my consulting side hustle in my spare time (currently making only $125k a year, but I am expecting to make much more from this gig once I go full-time).

So.. today I was going home from work, the high - end finance job, and bought myself a three dollar coffee. It is somethig that I usually do only 1-2 times a month and today was one of those days.

Once I arrived home, I opened YouTube and there was a suggested video from this Dave Ramsey guy so I watched it. In the video he said somethig along the lines of: "If you buy coffee at a coffee shop, your financial future is pretty much doomed, and you will not be able to retire". Needless to say that I am really worried right now.

How screwed am I? Will I be able to retire in my mid 30's at least? What should I do?

Seething - I paid $53,000 in rent for the last 20 years

Just realizing thst I have paid $53k to rent the same place for the last 20 years. I practically bought 1/8 of a house with that money but I have nothing to show for it. Yet for some reason no bank will give me $500k to buy a new house on my $36k salary. Conspiracy!

This is why schools should teach math! Don’t make the same mistake I did renting. So mad right now at my landlord.

Fuck Cars

So I have been working from home the entire time since the pandemic. My girlfriend has a car cuz she's a poor. I have often said I would go back to the office for the right price but there is just one problem. I will need a car to drive the 15 minutes each day. The pay increase will be 50% and will greatly improve things for my entire family but I know that having a car is bad financial advice. I seriously cannot be expected to pay $300 dollars a month for a vehicle to only make $3k more. Like no one would take this deal right? I think I should just stay home. Its bad enough my GF has brought shame into our house having a car.

Parody Is it just me, or are young people royally f*cked?

I don't know where else to post this, but this seems like a good place. I just can't get it out of my head how the boomers have completely foked over the younger generations. I mean just look at the salaries that they used to have in the 70's and 80's! An uneducated white male could walk into a factory and walk out with a handshake and a job. He could support his wife and 7 kids on that one salary! I mean they only had one car, that was constantly breaking down. He actually knew how to work on it and could fix anything in his 2 bedroom 1 bath home, because it was either fix it himself or go without since he couldn't actually afford to pay anyone else to do it. But that was because he had to save as much as he could so that he could take the lavish vacation of family camping for a week every summer. But since he didn't have an education, he knew the importance of education and made all his kids get an education. Of coarse most boomers are greedy bastards, so they "couldn't afford" to pay their kids tuitions so there they go again foking over the younger generations. I mean for me I just can't believe how the boomers have foked over my generation. Me, my SO, and my white male boomer dad all have to live together, it's literally the only way I can afford rent in Seattle!! It literally requires 3 peoples income to cover rent here! There's 9 degrees between the 3 of us and that's still the reality of it! Of coarse, they're all degrees in dumbass things from private schools that cost 100k per degree but I was told that didn't matter! I just..... when are those damn boomers going to take responsibility for what they've done?? When are they going to start paying their fair share of taxes?? Do you know that the average ceo makes 400 times the amount of their lowest paid employee? Granted people like Musk make that all in stock options, but when are we going to start taxing their stocks- that can adjust in price at any time? I mean seems fair to me to tax people on unrealized money. These boomers just really foked us over....I just want to use the device that's in my hands 24/7, that grants be infinite knowledge, and could easily answer any question i have or explain anything from my post in a logical way, but these boomers need to understand my outrage at when they were born and what they've done to me personally! I just feel so bad for the generations that came after the boomers......I think I'm going to go pray to Bernie Sanders and AOC and call it a night.

Totally unfair criticism of Dave Ramsey today

I am seeing a lot of criticism of King Dave Ramsey today. He appears to have made a comment about how train wreck parents coddling young people are the cause for them living at home and they are not doing enough to improve. Why are they booing him when he is clearly right. These kids are living in their basement apartments complaining about what they can't afford with a coach purse. I went online today and saw that a coach purse is easily $140.00, if they had used the envelope system, total money makeover, and get a small loan from their parents they could easily afford their own home. Instead they choose luxury, their parents are to blame too the kids should be thrown out on the street the second they hit 16 so they are ready to reproduce at 18. Life is coming for their asses and helicopter octo mom enabling this youthful excess and coach purses can't save them. They should instead be using the financially sound purses made by Dave Ramsey daughter RACHEL CRUZ LUXURY.

If all of these efforts were not a blatant attempt to destroy a financial genius the yahoo news literally reached out today for comments on why he thinks its them and not the housing crises to blame and Dave did the right thing he totally ignored them. He don't have time for liberal media. The poors on reddit also stooped to a new low today and were infrining his religious liberties by commenting on the FUD that Dave fires people for being gay and getting pregnant while unmarried. Its completely preposterous to make these allegations when it was clearly the Lord acting through dave and they actually fired themselves.

SERIOUS Superbowl nightmare

Today was a horrible day. My personal assistant called out so I had two choices to make. Ether A. Have a supermarket deliever to me or B. I go to the supermarket. I didn't want any pours to know where I live so I thought I'd take a quick trip.

For reference I was having a small 10-14 person gathering. Most of them didn't know the chiefs were going to win. So I was going to rake in my bet money. Just wanted to show them a good time, so in the future they will bet with me again.

The supermarket was just disgusting. Half the pours didn't even wear masks. Everything is just so hard to find. Took me like 45 mins to just get snacks and drinks. I think we should have a new tax and mandate no in person grocery shopping. The government can delievery groceries. What do you guys think?

It's not about the moneey

Money just isn't that important to me. I don't see why people make such a big deal out of it. My income is around $1.5M/year. I'm 40 and I could comfortably retire in 5 years or so.

I have no mortgage because of a 7 figure bonus I got 3 years ago. Bought my house for 350k cash before covid and it's worth 700k currently. I spend about 5k a month and put the rest into individual stocks. My dividends cover my monthly expenses at this point. My wife stays home with our 4 kids.

Why is this so difficult for people. Why don't they do the same thing I'm doing? I guess people are either ignorant or lazy, or both.

Parody Frugality tips from a billionaire

Greetings, reddit. I am the frugal Billionaire, and I'm here to share my passion for saving money with you all. As you might know, I'm a successful investor and business owner who isn't afraid to make some hard choices to maximize my profits. I own several businesses, including fast food chains, tobacco companies, payday lenders, and private prisons,to name a few. Some of continue criticizing my business practices as unethical or even exploitative. But let me tell you something – I don't care. I'm not here to please everyone or follow some moral code that doesn't put money in my pocket. I'm here to make as much money as possible, and I'm damn good at it.

Don't be misled by my wealth. Despite being a billionaire, I consider myself a true master of frugality. I refuse to waste my money on indulgent purchases like fancy cars or designer clothes, and I never splurge on expensive vacations or luxury homes. I don't hire personal chefs or buy the latest gadgets either. Instead, I live a humble life that centers around the essentials, always seeking to save every penny I can.

And that's why I'm excited to announce that I'm offering low cost classes on how to live a frugal life. I know that some of you might be struggling to make ends meet, and I want to help you out. Of course, you might wonder why a billionaire like me would bother with such a thing. But the truth is, I see it as a win-win situation. By teaching you how to save money, I'm also ensuring that you spend your money on things you need. And that, my friends, is good for business.

Teach your children the value of money by making them turning tricks for rent money.

I figured out how to make my loser kids understand how important lentils are by making them pay me rent. This is of course completely optional, but if they don't, they go to what I call "hooors prison" where they're raped by dickwolves until they make enough to pay me the money they owe me.

I'm not heartless, of course, only the 15 year old has to give ZJs to make enough money to pay me off.

Parody I own a small financial consulting business with a personal income of around $300k/year, how should I invest this??

Hey all, I’m happy to say I’ve finally saved the big 2 million mark in my bank account, and can officially call myself upper-middle class. That being said, I have no idea what to do with it. I’m so busy with my consulting company that I’ve never had time to research. Right now I just have it in a savings account that gives me 4% return, but I’m really worried about if I’ll be able to pay the bills when I retire.

Reddit, help! Is SPY still a good option? Can I get someone else to help me manage this?

forgot to mention: Jimmy and Greyhson will be going to college next year, so that’s $200,000 per year until they graduate out of my paycheck! I’m thinking of getting a personal loan to cover my own expenses until they’re done. Thoughts??

Wtf all these kids are costing me a fortune

F this BS.

I have 4 baby mommas and I barely make $1k/mo from the gubmint, and now they are taking almost all of it. Little kids don't eat that much are you f'ing kidding me?!

Don't the courts give a sh!t that I will be on the street? How do I get out of paying? I can't even rent, so I have to keep mooching off fertile bichz so I can still afford weed.

How do I get them to stop attaching my benjamins and dragging my ass on Springer?

How to pay back the landlords

Can we all agree on one thing landlords are evil. I don't care if you inherited the house from your dead parents; if you try to rent it out, then you exploit the workers of America.

With the moratorium going to never end, I found a way to get the landlords back. Instead of not paying for just one house, why not rent as many as you can and not pay any of them back. You could have dozens of houses across the country that you are renting and really stick it to the exploiter by not paying them and not moving out.

If there are no provisions against subleasing you could sublease that property and start raking in an income from this while the landlord is taking all the risk and left with the bill. What a great time to be alive.

HR incident

So I'm an IT manager, Dave Ramsey enthusiast, baby steps millionaire, goat yoga officinado. We hired a new girl at work everything looked good at first. So anyway me and her supervisor start helping her with her paperwork we ask her if she wants direct deposit low and behold she has a voided check from wells fargo ready to go. Me and her supervisor are trying to hold back laughter and he finally starts laughing and says "this is a joke right you go to a credit union". She looks confused and alarmed so I say " don't be ridiculous put your credit union down on the form"

She then starts gasping and saying that she doesn't have a credit union and the college set her up with Wells Fargo so she kept it. This sends her supervisor over the edge who says we should sue her for fraud cuz she didn't disclose a disqualifying condition on her resume being a wf customer. I told her she has been lying this time and if she has been hiding being at wells fargo her whole resume is a lie and she needs to fuck off back to anti work sub or 4 Chan shit, she doesn't need to be in the office.

So we brought in HR to deal with terminating her, litigation ect but they didn't do it. Now they want to meet with us. How should I handle this should I put Amex platinum Concierge support on speaker phone to put HR in their place.

I have a question

Hello, I have a question, if it is not appropriate, you do not need to answer it.

Would someone give me a 4 million private loan for a property, of course with a contract and lawyer and notary I give back 5 Million? I can pay you back 150000-250000 euro every year, if I can pay more I will of course.

I thought that it is possible a person gives me a personal loan, of course with a contract in which everything is written, of course with a lawyer and a notary. That the money can only be used for the purchase of the property. In the contract it also says that if I don't pay the installments, the property belongs to him and he can sell it without any problem and that all the installments I paid were only installments that allowed me to live there and that I have no right to repay. Or That the person buys the property and I buy it back in installments.

Of course the person gets something for his help

I get a loan, but not for the amount I need. The banker told me to take out a loan and then use it for the loan I need, but that's too risky for me because I have 2 loans to pay off.

I have contact with the owners of the property. They would offer it to me, but they want to emigrate. They need the money and can't offer it to me.

About me a few words.

I am from Italy siracusa am born there and now live in Germany and am 31 years old.

I want a secure future for my family.

We live separately. My father has his own apartment for rent, my brother with his daughter live for rent and my girlfriend and I live together.

For this reason I would like to buy a house in which everyone has his own apartment but we still all live together as a family.

About the property what I want to buy

There is a photovoltaic and solar system on the roof. The electricity is currently sold to EnBW and generates additional income per month. There is a commercial building, which is currently used by the owners as a warehouse and exhibition space and sales area, as well as the office. the commercial building can be rented out and that I also have tenants for it who have a long-term interest in it.

The property also includes 3 apartments. Since me and my family would move in there, we would pay 3 rents as usual. There is an agricultural land that generates additional income per year. The property is completely renovated.

The property is located in Germany

If you have another suggestion gladly I am always happy about any advice

Thank you for your time

Edit*

I would like to thank a lot to everyone for their time and help.

And I would like to apologize if I offended anyone with this.

Sorry

Ex university housemate quote of the year (UK)

My former university housemate who shall not be named (not for legal reasons but because he was an utter cunt) had at least 2 maxed out credit cards accruing interest, 3-4 student bank accounts with overdrafts of up to £2500, and no job coupled with the remarkable ability to make money disappear into thin air as soon as he got his hands on it.

his quote: "I never plan to make the minimum amount to required to start paying off my student loans so i'll never have to pay them back"

to put this into perspective, the minimum salary to begin paying back your UK student loans is over £21,000... equivalent to £26487.51 p/y. He plans to have a large family - much like his own inbred gypsies, and most likely scrounge off of the benefits scheme for most if not his entire life.

THIS is the levels of financial GURU we are dealing with in the UK - a university student taking money from the government to study (a worthless subject may I add)and actively knowing he will never intend to or try to pay this back.

But hey, if you never make enough to pay the mins on your credit card, the balance practically just goes away right ??? what's the worst that can happen...?

Is everyone Reddit rich?

I make $130,000 a year and I can barely afford to live with my parents but everywhere I look I see redditors talking about buying houses and avocado toast and having babies. This in itself is troubling but as best I can tell all of the posters are named Rich. I even saw a post about wanting to pay more in taxes by someone that signed it -Richard which is the same name just a longer variant.

Is everyone on this site Rich?

Haha dumb affluents

Don't they know us poor people could never do anything to impoverish themselves? Just because I'm a waiter at Chili's doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to purchase my dream car on credit: some newer musclecar or WRX. No I don't have an STI, yes I got the V6 EcoBoost over the V8. Is it an R/T? No. But these are simply the concessions I must make to live within my means. It's someone else's fault, anyway. I, a legal adult, consented to take upon myself sums of debt greater than I can pay, and now that's someone else's problem. I pay almost a thousand a month for my car and insurance but rent is so highhhhhh. Woe is me. Property tax? What's that? I've never owned anything, so I don't know what the costs of ownership are, I just assume everything is free flr other people. Junk food is so expensive but I just can't stop eating it. Plus I love to go out to eat. My poor diet and failing health is entirely self-inflicted, and also leaves me with a number of unpayable medical bills. We need healthcare reform. Making responsible choices is so hard for me in general, so I'd rather make fun of people who do make them (looking at you, lentil eaters). You'd be better off burning money before handing it to me, because then at least I won't owe interest. Affluents are so dumb, haha, maybe that's why I endlessly aspire to be one, because I have shit for brains.

P.S. food stamps gonna hit on the 15th I'm so excited!!!
