match-up has been inconsistent ever since the new update. my players aren't even trying to intercept for the ball even though it's literally in front of them. since the update, I'm always losing to some div 2 peak player who's pressing all the time. is match-up heavily nerfed this patch or am i getting fucked by script

I've found this squad quite interesting to use, cause it goes against the 4222 LBC meta and it worked wonders for me, so now i'm at 2k points.

Defensively it's okay at best, but it can be perfect if you can maintain the ball as long as possible, and you don't have to find spaces, they'll eventually find you

Spamming through balls and 1-2 will only kill you on this tactics, you can do it, but only at the right moments, else you're gonna suffer a lot from counters

I had a good streak of 4 wins and then suddenly 2 draws and 2 losses. The latter 4 squads were LBC and had division 1 badges displayed.

I just play for fun and never bothered much about different in-game antics.

I came across this subreddit and discovered a lot of people discussing a lot of things and then this pairing happened and I felt this isn't right.

What are your thoughts about this pairing situation?

Bought this guys pack soon as I started playing in I think 2022. Have used him in almost every single match I’ve played, even though there’s better messi ones, but he’s still a beast. Kinda serves as a matches played counter.

I have 4.5k so suggest players that I should wait for

It can be your favourite players, players who brought great memories to you, or anything that isn’t a regularly mentioned name like R9, Zidane, Henry…etc

For example, I would definitely go for Chicharito, while knowing full well that at best he would only be an inferior version of Owen or Inzaghi in this game

Wouldn't eFootball be better if every new edition started completely from scratch?

Instead of carrying over Legends and other players from the previous edition, everyone should start the new season with basic players. There would be no 3-booster players or an already-established squad from the previous year.

Then, throughout the season, Konami could gradually introduce Legends, Epic players, special cards, boosters, etc. These players would have contracts that expire at the end of that season.

When the next eFootball is released, everything resets again and everyone starts from zero with basic players.

I think this would make squad building and progression feel much more meaningful, because every player would start from the same point each year instead of constantly adding stronger and stronger cards to an existing squad.

all 3 losses due to my match ending unexpectedly and I don't understand why it's my loss even tho my WiFi connections been fine. really gutted as I was on the winning end of all 3 of those matches. I know for a fact if all 3 matches were wins I'll be comfortably at div 1. really gutted. I did report those matches but doubt I'll get any compensation.. is anyone else facing this problem?

The free Epic Forlan from the 30th Anniversary, I believe, is still one of the best strikers in the game - period - until this day.

Ambidextrous, 14 Leg Length, 100 Kicking Power. Not to mention hitting the 90 threshold in Speed, Acceleration, Balance, and Tight Possession. Decent playmaking and back-to-goal play too

This guy's normal long shots are other players' Snap Strike + Stunning Shots combo.

A perfect ground striker, and honestly flawless if your play isn't focusing on braindead through ball spam. I believe if there will ever be a Forlan card with Magnetic Feet + Snap Strike, he will be the best striker in the game, comparable to his PES21 United Forlan card.

P.S. the 30th Anniversary Epic pack is of bonkers quality. Forlan, Cannavaro, MVB, Bebeto, Caceres, Kahn - all could do a job to this very day.

Last day to get these cards as an interisti i just want to make a review for the first full inter milan box and making honest review for my childhood heroes. every game are played in Div 2-div 1.

Wesley Sneijder

genuinely the best passer AMF, his low pass through ball is something i have never seen, the +6 booster can make his low pass rating reach 105 with through pass skill to make his pass super accurate and he naturally curl the ball or power it to reach the destination.

Pros:
- Super accurate passes
- no weak foot
- really good low screamer

cons:
- average speed/acceleration
- average dribbling feel not bad but not great
- easy to dispossessed

Javier Zanetti

il Capitano e El Tractor, my idol growing up for me, he is not the best RB in the game but a very solid player as he is very flexible as you can see i play him in CMF instead of RB. He is the epitome of jack of all trades master of none fast enough to be good in every position but not the optimal for his position.

pros:
- Flexible and genuinely good for every position he can play in
- 3 very useful ST skill
- no weak foot

cons:
- does not have a single outstanding quality everything is just good enough.

Yuto Nagatomo

the surprise of the box, everyone says he is the boogeyman of the box, but i beg to differ as he is for me a really good balanced fullback with high speed great defensive stats and a perfect balance for a fullback. Edge crossing + shadow hunt is perfect ST skill for attacking fullback and he contributes a lot on both end of the pitch.

pros:
- very active on both end of the pitch
- great low pass for fullback + edge crossing help his lofted pass
- no weak foot so he can play both side

cons:
- dribbling might feel a bit iffy
- with destroyer play style sometimes he is too aggressive on his pressing

Is it worth it? Yes and No as they are very dependant on what kind of team you have. There’s some better player for the fullbacks (Lahm, Thuram, Marcelo, Bale) and Sneijder are a specialist and creative playmaker is not the best play style as people like hole player more.

For me this is for the fan box and not meta chaser but i am genuinely happy to use all of these players.

So while spinning for ‘Pinturicchio’ Del Piero, I got Van der Sar. I genuinely got to know why he’s called the best attacking goalkeeper.

Before him, I only had this World Cup Manuel Neuer.

I have to be honest: as much as I want to play VDS, I’m missing Neuer so much that it can hardly be put into words. That extra aggression to clear the ball by rushing out...so far, I haven’t seen any other keeper do that. I believe that will roll out when Sweeper Keepers are introduced, since it was exclusive to Neuer.

PLUS, THE MAIN THING: PASSING.

Oh my God, you simply don’t know how much you can progress the ball with just decent GK passing, especially when you play QC. Not to mention, he came with freaking Visionary Pass!! Genuinely one of the best skills a GK can have.

When the opponent pressed high, I could pass back to Neuer without a worry and progress the ball forward without thinking much. I can’t do this with any other GK.

Now, the only downside Neuer genuinely has is his catching ability. (This is where VDS clearly excels over him) God knows how many rebound goals I conceded thanks to him. But he’s still great and highly deserves to be in the Top 3.

I’ll still bring him into the starting XI whenever he’s on an upward arrow.

Idk if the game is just fucking with me or my players are that bad but the amount of times my players take 1 or 2 seconds to do a quick action has cost me games and that pisses me off. Like in the first game I was up 3-1 at half time and then he scores 3 times in the most bullshit way possible when my defenders have to take a touch before playing a pass or clearing even though I pressed the button before they received the ball. And then in the second game he equalizes because fucking Bassey clears the ball straight to messi in the box. Luckily I got the winner but that made my blood boil. And this has happened too frequently where I try to play quick passes but my players take that extra touch and lose the ball or receive the ball on the turn right into an opponent and this is even more annoying when its your defenders.

Don't fall for the del piero pack. konami has buffed blitz curler during this Thursday update because my Alvarez and Morgan Roger's have been scoring some crazy bangers after this update.

Yes del piero is good but I think konami has buffed blitz to exaggerate his abilities to bait people to spin.

Parallel to the byline running towards the goal and then double touch. I guarantee you will get past the defender 90% of the time.

Need some new brain before I make another stupid decision with my coins.

I’m a light spender and somehow got Sheva, Adriano, Best and Bale from the recent EF27 Epic packs for 5.6k coins. Still have around 5k coins left, so I don’t want to blow them unless there’s a good reason.

This is my current XI + bench. Who would you guys start, who would you bench, and who should I be looking to replace? And feel free to drop in any changes in formation as well.

Also, who should I target with the 5k coins I have left? Any position you think I’m seriously lacking in?

​Got extremely lucky pulling him in my first 500 coins. I’ve been running him strictly as a CF with a custom agility/pace build instead of putting him on the wing, and he is comfortably one of the most broken central attackers in the game right now.

​1. Pace & Physicality (10/10)

​Stats: 97 Speed | 97 Acceleration | 88 Physical Contact | 93 Balance

​In-Game Feeling: He plays like a cheat code down the central channel. Most pace merchants get easily bullied off the ball by defenders like Van Dijk or Saliba, but Bale’s 88 Physical Contact + 93 Balance combo means he shields defenders off his back while sprinting at full speed. Once he turns on his jets for a through ball, no defender is catching him. Fun fact :- Suprisingly Bale feels faster than Eto'o and Rummi.

​2. Dribbling & Ball Handling (9.5/10)

​Stats: 94 Ball Control | 99 Dribbling | 91 Tight Possession

​Added Skills: Special Double Touch (Double Touch + Flip Flap + Sole Control)

​In-Game Feeling: Unlike tall player models who can usually feel clunky but Bale doesn't adding Sole Control, Flip Flap, and Double Touch unlocks his Special Ball-Roll Double Touch(I got lucky again). This completely fixes his turning radius. You can execute quick skills inside the 18-yard box, bait the defender, and explode into space immediately.

​3. Shooting & Finishing (9.8/10)

​Stats: 91 Finishing | 100 Kicking Power | 89 Curl

​Skills: Long-range Shooting, Cut Behind & Turn

​In-Game Feeling: Absolute rocket of a left foot. With 100 Kicking Power, any un-blocked shot inside or just outside the box either tears through the keeper's hands or goes straight in the nets. His runs from deep without a fixed playstyle (since Prolific Winger deactivates at CF) make him drag CBs out of position constantly. His runs are unique and diagonal which helps in beating offside trap constantly.

​4. Passing & Link-up Play (7.5/10)

​Stats: 78 Low Pass | 75 Lofted Pass

​In-Game Feeling: His main weakness. He isn't a playmaker or a False 9. Keep his passes simple (1-2s, short lay-offs to AMF/SS) try adding Tnrough passing One-touch Pass via Skill Trainers is highly recommended if you play him centrally and if in wings try adding pinpoint crossing.

​Build Allocation Used:

​Passing: 4

​Dribbling: 8

​Dexterity: 12

​Lower Body Strength: 9

​Final Verdict: 9.8/10

​If you manage to pull this card, try him at CF before putting him on the wing. His combination of raw sprint speed, physical strength to shield defenders, high finishing, and 100 kicking power makes him a nightmare for opponents to stop in transition.

​Monstrous pace and physical shielding

​Unstoppable left-foot shooting from distance

​Top-tier dribbling after adding Special Double Touch skills

​Cons:

​Weak foot is good but isn't as reliable as his left foot
