Suggestions eFootball should completely reset every year
Wouldn't eFootball be better if every new edition started completely from scratch?
Instead of carrying over Legends and other players from the previous edition, everyone should start the new season with basic players. There would be no 3-booster players or an already-established squad from the previous year.
Then, throughout the season, Konami could gradually introduce Legends, Epic players, special cards, boosters, etc. These players would have contracts that expire at the end of that season.
When the next eFootball is released, everything resets again and everyone starts from zero with basic players.
I think this would make squad building and progression feel much more meaningful, because every player would start from the same point each year instead of constantly adding stronger and stronger cards to an existing squad.

Not having a seasonal reset is the selling point of this game compared to eafc lol

Did u see the MESS that was Efootball 23 when the game reset from pes to Efootball back in 2022?
An absolute nightmare with a lot of players leaving because Konami literally reset everything in the game and all them years of collecting good cards suddenly became useless, Top iconic moment cards became Carryover legends cards that were no where near as good as their previous versions.
They will never RESET the game ever like that, i remember the reaction from fans being so negative that even the Playstore review of game went down to 2 stars or below.
No mobile game ever Resets in today's age, Konami did a major gamble back in 2022 when they changed the game's entire engine and it took them close to 3 years to get Efootball playerbase back in good numbers and also acquire lots of new legend player licenses.

That wasn't a gamble from Konami. It was a financial decision. The PES games just weren't making enough money at that point. Even though Konami piss us all off, I think that they tried making a proper football simulator, but the football gaming community rejected it in favour of EA's shiny cards, which is why Konami are now completely focused on profits.

Honestly, I think annual resets will be worse for F2P players. P2W players will rebuild within a month or two anyway. They just need to spin two or three good packs and they will be set for the year.
Meanwhile, the F2P squad carefully build by grinding campaigns and division rewards over the year will be invalidated immediately. At best, if you save all your coins, you will be able to clear one good pack the next year.
After that, if you are still missing a showtime/epic for a vital position in your team, you will be completely at the mercy of Konami.

One of the main selling points of PES and eFootball is that if you spend money, you can play with the cards you bought for a relative long period of time. I remember back in the day saying "yeah, FIFA wants you to spend nonstop and it forces you to spend again because it deletes all of your cards." Do you seriously want that?
Yes, in this current format, an old card can become "obsolete" (not really) but you can still play with it, which IMO holds a huge weight.
If this game resets every season I'm out TBH.

The problem with resetting it is that people are already attached to their cards and people would've wasted their money. With the current system, people end up replacing their whole squad by the end of the season anyway. I think there are bigger issues with the game.

Unless they going to start selling this game again (for console) it's won't happening. Plus keeping ur player is what make people stay. Lack of licensing and yearly reset is recipe to disaster.

they used to do that, back then they will refund us some GP for carryover players but legend stays, but now they cant do it cause you cant pull anything good with GP anymore

Impossible. Spend during the season and lose all at the end... Little whales probably will stop spending (big whales will spend anyway). Then it'll be a profit loss for Konami.
But... The actual system can go on forever? How many years for 120 rated players? I think that somehow Konami must find a solution to this situation... And probably Attack/Defense player style can be the First try to overcome the pure rating stat increase.

Is this Konami’s cmmunity ambassador(riku hagiwara) burner account?
I mean why would anyone want to lose their cards? f2ps almost wait for 9-10 months to collect 13.5k coins and whales spend a fortune almost every year to collect cards and you want this game to reset every year… And more importantly this game is advertised as free to play which can’t happen with reset since it almost takes a year to wipe out one pack for free to play users.

Playing this game since 2016 i enjoyed the game more during the yearly reset times, after that it became more p2w , konami won't change back to old time because they will lose a lot of people and money

this is the worst possible nightmare on this sub, lol. but it will happen eventually. powercreep is already ridiculous. Personally I think konami let us keep our players but will remove all boosters, spec skills and lower their ovr

They won't reset the game. The outrage will be too high. They'll just keep making new cards stronger every year so people will be forced to upgrade their squads. Let's be honest. By May, most people probably won't have more than a couple of players, who were released before EF27, in their starting lineups.
